Adonis Hotel enjoys a prime location in one of the finest parts of Athens, the historic district of Plaka.

Conveniently located just under half a mile from central Athens, Stanley Hotel features a swimming pool, 2 restaurants and 3 bars, including an open-air bar on the rooftop.

The fully refurbished Hotel Omiros enjoys a central location in Athens, only a few minutes’ walk from Syntagma Square and the new Acropolis Museum.

Within a 10-minute walk of Athens Old Town, the Jason Inn provides a rich breakfast in its rooftop restaurant with views of the Acropolis. The Metro is 100 yards away.
Score from 523 reviews Good
I was badly welcomed the day I arrived not even a glassof wwater was offered to us the man at the reception was rude with us but fortunately the woman the next was very nice to us I really want to thank her and the rest of the staff.
Helpful hotel employees. Very close location to city centre - Monastariki, Syntagma, Omonia. It was possible to have breakfast on the outside terrace and we had all time access to the roof floor.
Quarter where the hotel locate was dirty, but it's the big problem in all Athens.
The hotel was clean and friendly, our room was perfect with an amazing view of the acropolis from the balcony, room very quiet at night but air-con was noisy. Breakfast was basic fare, enough to get you through to lunch, no cooked food other than toast. Lovely rooftop breakfast area. Within easy walking distance from the major sights and local restaurants.
Outside of the hotel you are greeted with streets upon streets of graffiti everywhere (even on cars)which was a bit of an eyesore and did give you a sense of trepidation when walking back to the hotel at night. The second half of our holiday was south of Korinthos and it seemed little was untouched by the spray can so its not a local thing, even on a few archaeological sites, which I found surprising.
Fantastic down town area with interesting food shops. away from all the tourist glitz. walking distance of Acroppolis. Good price, very helpful friendly staff. lovely rooftop communal area
Dont go if you want glitz and glamour. The hotel has several derelict buildings around it.
Location: walking distance to historical sites. View from roof.
A little noise
Evripides hotel is well situated with short walk to all the sites and lovely cafés and squares just around the corner that are significantly cheaper than their tourist area counterparts. As in other reviews there is a lot of graffiti and some derelict buildings about but slowly these are being done up and full points for Athens' efforts. Evripides hotel is a gem. Staff were very professional and efficient and having 24 hour reception was a bonus. The room itself was comfortable and very clean. Having the bar on 6th floor, rooftop terrace on 7th and a large lounge area on ground floor meant there was loads of options for just relaxing.
There are some darkish streets in the area around hotel with sadly some people sleeping rough but as we were back at hotel reasonably early did not feel unsafe. Other guests reported feeling safe as well.
I liked every thing... I only needed a place to collapse since I was all day out...
at night was a little noisy ... but nothing that would keep me up...
Close to acropolis and metro
I had to go to hospital, unexpectedly, and the staff were so sensible in helping me. The doctors who looked after me in hospital were careful and thorough and I was very grateful.
Great view, walking distance to many interesting places. Excellent restaurant across street. Tasty food for breakfast with view at this hotel.
Good location. Nice rooms.
Closeness to historic district and metro Great view from roof Clean and functional Helpful staff
Hotel was located in shabby area covered in graffiti
staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was excellent, walked everywhere with no problem.
room was very small, quality of breakfast was just poor.
Everything was awesome. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean. The wifi in the room always worked. Great location. Best hotel and we did a lot of research before choosing this one. Excellent choice for anyone.
Arrived late in the evening. Greeted in a very friendly manner by the lady at reception. We had heard and read reviews regarding the area in which the hotel is located. Given a great recommendation about a restaurant around the corner. The inital walk in the dark was a little unnerving due to the area and graffiti. However once we got to see the area in the daytime we were very pleasantly suprised. Shabby chic with all the great graffiti around. The following nights going out for dinner we felt very safe. We had an Acropolis view room which was situated on the 6th floor just below the roof top...excellent view. We could even bring down our breakfast to our room and have that on our private balcony. Safe deposit boxes in our room also which we found very useful. Hotel very near the Athens Flea market which was great to walk around ang buy some unique t-shirts ect. Highly recommended and we would certainly stay here again if we return to Athens
The staff was good.
The location was hard to find and no one was able to tell us exactly where located. It took us almost two hours to find.
Room was clean and roomy. The roof garden was very nice and the breakfast was good.
The room was spacious and comfortable. The area although may not feel the safest it is actually very cool full of bars and restaurants just at the doorstep of the hotel. I loved Psirri.
If you are frightened of run down areas of cities this place is not for you.
The hotel is well situated close to all the historical sites as well as to stores and rerstaurants. Rooms are rather spacious and the breakfast on the roof floor was very good. A definite plus is the parking space.
Though the hotel is located in the shabby-looking neighborhood it's safe even for night walks
view & being close the main attractions
80 eur, too expensive for the conditions offered
- Clean - Well equipped rooms - Nice staff - Close to Main sights - Rooftop breakfast with a good variety of food and a great view of the Acropolis
- very dodgy neighborhood with grafitti and abandoned buildings. Getting to a safer looking neighborhood is 2-3 minutes walk
hotel lobby, great wifi, renovated rooms, rooftop , breakfast on the terrace, great view of the acropolis. Location proximity to metro, monastaraki and plaka.
Bed blanket had stains on it, there were crumbs and hair on the top sheet. Room was tiny but perfect for a one night stay. The block was was a little shady.
Great location. Good value for money.
The beds were very hard. I think they forgot the mattress.
The location is close to the Acropolis
The smell in the room was not pleasant. The hotel itself needs renovation. There was no curtain in the bathroom. The district is not very pleasant with graffiti and broken windows.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast, and location on a roof-top terrace in view of the Acropolis made it especially nice. Location is in easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops around the Acropolis. Many good restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel.
Bathroom was quite small; lack of places to put things in the room (no night stands next to the bed). Hotel is in an area with graffiti-laden old buildings--rather seedy-looking, but safe and apparently an up-coming area. Overall, the good points far outweigh the negative ones for this hotel.
