Faros II  

Hotellissa oli olematon äänieristys. Kaikki äänet ja kolaukset kuuluivat moninkertaisina. Vastaanotossa oli ystävällinen henkilö, mutta hän tuntui olevan kovin kiireinen ja hätäinen koko ajan. Tuntui, että aamiaisella vähän joka työntekijällä oli "pasmat sekaisin". Välillä tuli sellainen olo, että missä on vakituinen henkilökunta, joka on ammattitaitoista ja osaa asiansa. Kaapissa olevan varatyynyn tyynyliina oli selvästi käytetty ja kaapissa haisi home, joten siellä olleet petivaatteetkin haisivat homeiselle ja ummehtuneelle. Ei pelkästään tässä hotellissa, vaan Kreikassa yleensäkin, patjat ovat epämukavat, koska petauspatjat puuttuvat kokonaan. Tyynyt myös ovat kovia ja epämukavia. Ystävällisyys kyllä korjasi puutteita. Vastaanotosta esim. järjestettiin lentokenttäkuljetus, jolla pääsi joustavasti ja hyvin kentälle.

Everything! We arrived hot and tired to a spotlessly clean, spacious room with air-conditioning. We'd booked a family room and were delighted to find a huge room with a balcony and a whirlpool bath large enough to accommodate a football team! A far cry from the usual offerings of box-rooms stuffed with rickety camp beds.....We ordered coffees in the morning and were told they were complimentary, despite there clearly being a charge for these on the hotel price list, and when we vacated the room prior to the allocated time, the manager was happy to allow us to leave luggage there until the afternoon. Then, when he had difficulty getting us a taxi due to the strike, he insisted on getting a member of his staff to drive us to our ship!! Never before have we received such fantastic hospitality - Faros is number one in our book and we cannot recommend it highly enough for both value and service. Efkharisto poly!!!

The staff is very nice.

Very good staff, nice hotel, and very inexpensive. Not very easy to find.

Location - too far from the gate we needed at the port, too far from the Metro Station and awful, horrible, terrible local area, feeling very run- down, potentially dangerous, limited eating/drinking locations, grim, dirty, bad street lighting. Would not recommend this hotel for families with small children or elderly people. For more adventurous backpackers etc, it would be fine.

The room smelled smokey.

The Faros ii was perfect as a stop of point on the way from Athens to Mykonos. Situated in between the docks and the bay it was very easy to walk to and from both, as a single traveller this was perfect.

The price and location were convenient.

Nice, clean, big room with balcony. Very friendly and helpful owner. We bought breakfast at the hotel and the owner gave us more food than we could eat. Good location within walking distance to all ferries. Takes about 15 minutes to walk down to the main wharf. You can book ferry tickets in advance through the hotel. All in all it's a very nice hotel!

The familly room was very nice and large enough for us 4 (2 ad+2child). The staff is extremly kind and helpfull. The rate is fair : we paid 70E the night on Aug 7th.

Because of its structure (stone soil, wood doors), the building is noisy.

Hotel staff including receptionists were excellent
