Hotel Faros I har en central beliggenhed i Piræus, hvorfra der er adgang til havnen og togstationen. Receptionen med det venlige personale er døgnåben og tilbyder bagageopbevaring. Staff were great, room clean, air conditioned- its budget accomodation. There is a travel booking office on the 1st floor to book ferries out of Pireaus. In my opinion geography is Faros Is charm, i.e. its close to the Pireaus Port. I recommend Faros I to other travellers only in respect of convenience to Pireaus port, especially when you fly in and catch the 7 am Ferry the very next day. Advised to take bus from Athens airport to Pireaus and that the bus stopped outside. It cost me 5 euros. That may or may not be true, I provided the bus driver with the street name, he dropped me off 7 blocks from the hotel. I recommend you print off a map and show it to the bus driver (make sure you can see the cross streets), hopefully you will have better luck. Not a complaint but I can not recommend Faros I for long term accomodation in Athens , you would be better served to look at places near the Acropolis/Parthenon.

It is close the Port, good value for money Before my staying, I exchanged some emails with the hotel staff in order to book a taxi for our coming. But any taxi was waiting for me at the airport...

Room was comfortable . Air con was already on in the room. Free wifi Location could have bee better. Some of the pavements near the hotel were in a bad state of repair

Clean, big, quiet rooms. Comfy bed. Great price for what you get. A bit of a walk from where the ferry dropped us off and not the easiest to find in the middle of th night. Plus the taxis are not keen to take you there as the fare they will get is not much.

price and location good! location near the train station 10 min on foot really clean and warm room there was also warm water 24hrs and fridge small room no double bed no breakfast included in the price (7euro more/day) pireus not really good place to stay if you are tourist and you go for sightseeing in athens!

Really clean cheap accomodation handy location for all port ferries. Staff excellent help for directions and getting any information required if you are visiting Athens. Rooms clean but very basic with no pictures on wall. I was travelling with my young daughter of two and staff were lovely with her.

The room is large enough, clean and is very easy to reach the hotel. I spent only one night so I can not say so many. For only one night everything was ok. Only with the electricity was a problem for few hours.

We stayed at Faros1 for two nights before a cruise. The total experience was so great that we stayed for another three nights post cruise. Everything was more than expected. Staff especially Natalia, John and Athina were exceptional. Room quiet, roomy and very clean. Location very convenient to cruise ship terminal and cheap taxi to metro. Supermarket close by. Free wi fi through hotel. Brealfast extra cost but super value for money. Will stay again. Thank you for such a pleasant sty.

Proxcimity to the port and to the transportation system. Shops were close by and the people were friendly. There was only one computer for the guests to use so we had to take turns. Not handicap friendly. Steps down to the elevator hard to neotiate with suitcases.

They had someone up to ensure we had breakfast before the ferry at 6.30 which was nice. The room was small but clean. It was a bit of a walk to the ferry and the room smelt heavily of smoke (cigarrettes)

Proximity to the Cruise Ship Terminal and value for the money. The street the hotel is located on is less than welcoming, especially at night!

Faros 1 was much better than we expected especially for a budget hotel. It is well located about 15 minutes walk from the ferries and we found a v good restaurant over the hill and by the side of the small port to the south. About 8 minute walk. We enjoyed our overnight stay and would happily have stayed longer.

Passing through Piraeus on the way to the islands and so this was a great choice. Only a few minutes walk to the port and a great price for a double room. Polite staff, comfortable and clean room. Plenty of cheap places to eat just minutes away. Families might find the location close to a red light area off-putting, but we were not concerned. Would certainly use this hotel again for an overnight stay.

Clean and efficient. 4 single beds in room is good for families. We required a room between the port and the airport. On-line information implies it was close to transport. It is not close to Metro or Bus service.
