The location was good away from busy noice of Athens. The staff was helpful and nice. Breakfast standard small breakfast. Price wise this hotel is very good for someone who is not looking for expensive hotel with spa, and all the expensive design rooms and big lobbies and so on.

The location of the hotel. Very noisy. The maids used the vacuum cleaner very early in the morning. One of them entered our room at 8:00 am while we were sleeping.

The swimming pool was refreshing on a hot summer day. The bus between the airport and cruise port was very accessible and inexpensive. Just make sure to ask the driver for the correct stop.

Best Western Fenix is very good value for money. Front desk were extremely helpful and cordial from the minute we arrived, and room service is speedy and efficient. Prices of food are similar to many other restaurants in Glyfada nearby (10-15 minutes walk). There is a bus stop just facing the hotel, and a metro station very close as well. The view from the seaview room is one of the best in Athens, clear skyline with the sea, trees and mountains. The restaurant downstairs is quite good with friendly service from people like Michailis and Khristos and other pleasant and welcoming staff. The only comment is that the bathroom of the last rooms in the corridor on every level (like the "02" rooms) are extremely small. All other rooms have normal bathrooms. Also one of the two small elevators went off a couple of times during our one week stay. I have seen or stayed at several hotels in Glyfada, and I can strongly recommend bw Fenix as the best I have seen so far.

I'm verry pleased to have been at the Fenix Hotel, Glifada. As an ex- tourleader, I have been in a lot of hotels, but very seldom you can find one where get more for your money. The swimmingpool is marvelous. They have installed the newest system to clean the water. No chlorine, no burning eyes. Rooms are very clean, personel is very friendly and helpfull. If I have to say one less good thing, is that you have to cross the mainstreet to get to the beach and tramstations. There are trafficlights, but sometimes it can take some time. Public transport is at the frontdoor. Even the busses to the airport stop at not even 50 meters away and operate 24/7.

The pool was nice and the breakfast had a good variety. The waiters at the breakfast room were very attentive and helpful (the only place with good service). The balcony overlooking the sea was pleasant and accomodated 2 people well! Location was good close to a variety of public transportation or a taxi could be ordered from the reception. There were some staff quite unfriendly and rude and the twin room booked and requested months in advance was not available the first night. The first room was quite smelly (wet carpet) and altought a non-smoking room was requested, it was obvious that people were smoking there. The next day they changed the room which was much better. In one of the days the cleaners did not come to make up the room, even with the sign at the door. Perhaps is because they only work for a couple of hours in the morning so if you don't want to be up early, they will not come back later. Overall if you get a good room and don't meet any of the unfriendly staff, the stay should be ok, but make sure you keep your expectations low!

What I liked was the position of the hotel and the swimming pool. The staff at the bar was not kind at all, lacking in profesionalism and willingless in helping customers. The way they were working gave me the impression they were doing it just because they had to. They seemed kind of lost and without any experience. It seemed like they had started since few days and not organized at all. In fact in 4 days I haven't seen any staff supervisor/manager. I would suggest to look for him.

The the staff was great! We stayed there because our daughter was participating in the World Games of Special Olympics and we could walk to the Glyfada golf course for the venue. The rooms need to be updated and cleaner. Place ceiling fans in each room, it would help with keeping the room cooler.

That we get a huge room, a suite, probably due to overbookings for free The towels were brand new and never been washed, so they left remains of cotton on us

The concierge were absolutely lovely. They delivered messages that my family had left, called taxis for us and were generally very friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast very much and I felt safe in the hotel. The cleaning staff weren't very friendly, some of them. I tried to talk to them but I think maybe that was just the language barrier. I think the dinner menu could perhaps cater for more tastes and then it could become a more well-known restaurant.

Very comfortable rooms, location next to transport network (trams and buses). We needed an overnight stay between Piraeus and the airport and this worked perfectly. Nice pool, very welcome to cool down and bide some time. The conveneient location in transport terms means there is a lot of traffic noise, which can be diificult to get used to for a one night stay as we had. However airconditioning and double glazing countered the effects.
