the ridiculous wifi system - every time you turned off your phone or computer you have to logon again - what is the purpose of this nonsense, besides annoying guests??

Service was excellent but out of all the places I've stayed on my holiday this had the smallest room and bathroom and cost twice as much money.

Great hotel, clean, spacious, great breakfast. Very attentive staff. Just be aware that the hotel is 10 minutes walk from the "old Heraklion"; but not really an issue to my eyes considering the quality of the place.

The whole stay was superb. The staff and facilities are excellent and all needs were met. Everyone is very friendly and make you feel at ease. Loved the way everyone encouraged us to use our developing use of the Greek language. Food in the lounge bar restaurant was excellent and compares favourably in price to local restaurants. Service here was superb and staff were attentive friendly and informative.

The smoking and non smoking arrangements for eating in the lounge bar are, especially as the EU directive is for no smoking inside restaurants and bars. As a complete non smoker it's was not pleasant to eat with the smell of smoke from the adjoining eating area.

The rooms are well designed and spacious , beds are very comfortable and it's nice and quiet for sleeping. This is was our fourth visit and we will be back again in November .

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were very clean and well designed. Pool was large and there were plenty of pool chairs. Breakfast was superb, extremely large buffet with almost too many options to choose from!

Very nice and clean hotel. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The service was excellent with very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of international and Cretan dishes. My wife and I loved it! I wish all the hotels in Greece could be like this!

Very good breakfast. Excellent staffs, receptionist and conceirge. Maria at the reception desk is very helpful and makes you feel welcome.

Modern, comfortable and friendly hotel. We were coming back from Santorini by boat and had an overnight stay in Iraklion before our flight the next day. The hotel is ideally located just 5mins from the port and 10 mins from the airport. Close to the main shopping area. Also has a very nice pool area to relax. If you intend exploring the whole island from one base, Iraklion is actually the place to be as you are no more than 1 1/2 hours drive in any direction. In this case, I think that the Galaxy hotel would be a very good choice.

It was just outside the hubbub of Heraklion, but close enough to it for when we wanted to enjoy it!

For such a luxury hotel with such an abundant and delicious breakfast, it was annoying to have to ask for hot milk to go with my coffee every morning! Hotels with lesser stars have hot milk "on tap" ... Also our room was a little cramped...but I guess we got a special offer on the price and so were given a room to match...

The friendliness of the staff. The design of the leisure areas. The hospitality all excellent.

The room and balcony were a little small but the leisure facilities more than made up for this.

Breakfast, pool, luxury rooms, easy to park, very clean,

horrible internet connection, go for the executive room because the normal room it is very small, location not that great (not near the beach and 15 minutes walking to the city center)

The rooms are very stylish. The pool area was lovely and the 24 hour room service was fantastic. Simon the concierge was divine and so helpful.

The rooms are a little small but that is quite common in Europe. They were quite stylish though which really did make up for the size.

The wifi signal was very weak in the room, I could not even open a web page.

Clean and nicely decorated rooms. Comfortable beds. Good choice for a few days stay if you are travelling with the Ferry or Airplane from Heraklion (it is close to both the Port and the Airport). The highlight is the delicious breakfast with a vast array of choices.

It's a bit pricey and the rooms are a bit on the small side.

The Galaxy Iraklio is a modern city hotel with excellent facilities and friendly staff (particuarly Aris on Reception who was extremely welcoming and helpful). The rooms are modern and comfortable. The pool area and restaurant are beautiful.

Centrally located between the airport and the port of Heraklion the galaxy hotel was all over excellent. It's a fairly small hotel with extremely comfortable and cozy rooms. The decore is modern and well maintained, and the staff go out of their way to fulfill your every need.
