The view from the balcony was great. It's kind of walk up hill to get there, but it's worth it to get away from the loud noise downtown. The hotel staff was so nice that they even drove us up to the temple because we ran out of time.
The staff were great, even dropped us off at the ferry terminal.
They are like your own family even helped us recover our lost wallet. The value for money is great at this hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone going with family or for a great bachelors party :p
No negatives, five stars rating from me
1. good value for money 2. super friendly and helpful staff 3. good location 4. good breakfast
1. no shower curtain 2. the noise from the swimming pool machine
Very old rooms, smell & humidity Poor quality breakfast You can find better venues with same amount of money
The spot; pretty close to Ag. Marina beach and ancient site of Afea. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very polite and always willing to help. The room was clean and quite.
The pool was VERY small. ~5m x 5m, like a large jacuzzi :-). The bathroom was very old and couple of tiles were broken.
Personnel was hospitable and tried their best. Location is OK, could be such a nice place (great wooden furniture) if updated and better maintained.
Facilities were not up to date and not taken care of. The size of the swimming pool is a laugh and extremely small for the size of the hotel (do't be fooled by the nice picture). Place was crowded at breakfast. Breakfast choice was very poor, we could hardly find anything healthy. Certain type of clientele, did not like behavior e.g. noise in swimming pool, smoking in hallway. We did NOT like our stay here!
I really enjoyed everything. For sure we will come back. Many thanks.
We loved the location and the kind, welcoming and helpful staff.
What a find! Amazing value for money and one of the warmest welcomes in Greece. The bed was really comfortable and the air conditioning worked - which was a must in the 35 degree+ heat.
We liked the location of the hotel, in a quiet street & the many trees in the garden. There was also ample parking on the grounds. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The view from the pool bar is fantastic.
The bedroom furniture was quite chipped and could do with some polish. The furniture in our rooms was of very good quality (something rare in hotels nowadays), but quite neglected. The windows, doors and shutters need to be replaced.
In general, probably one of the best hotels in Agia Marina, but dont expect still much (especially from the place). Only if you like more quiet places, wild rock beaches, and a bit tired of very crowded places, then AgMarina is better than Aegina. But if you seek for more lively and civilized place, then its not if your choice. The location of the hotel is nice. The staff is helpful and friendly.
Breakfast- is a bit plain. For a family run hotel it could be better. Oldish - despite the stylish classic furniture of old times and nice reception, the rest could be renovated a bit. It gives an impression that hotel is old. Not in a good way. Table tennis was not fixed, the roof bar was not opened - maybe it will be opened in the high season, but anyway, the hotel was full when we stayed, so ... The rest is fine.
Nice location, clean rooms and daily room cleaning service
Peaceful, beautiful place, excellent the Hotel's location, friendly staff
