It was hard to get enough sleep: There is a solid board under the mattrasses instead of a slatted frame which makes the bed very, very hard, and creaking. At least for us the sleeping comfort was very bad. Not only compared to our own bed at home but also compared to numerous hotel beds I had to use.
Another issue is that the maintenance of the facilities are in need of improvement. Examples: defective lights in the garden, squeaking and jaming doors, some broken kitchenware, jaming buttons for the flush.
Sometimes the sewage facility which is located in the backyard smelled ugly.
Not including and very well: daily cleaning including dishwashing, pool maintenance.
All in all I would rate the luxury villa as a very nice house without so many other/better alternatives in Crete.
We had a 2-floor appartment with a private garden (2nd row with more privacy) including a pool which was cleaned at least once a day. We had a great stay, best weather in September, very nice beaches in the near proximity (5-15 minutes by car). Anyway, when booking a "luxury villa" we expected a "luxury villa" - so everything I write under "what I didn't like" is based on high expectations.
