Really good apartment, it is attended by the owners and they are really kind. Breakfast is really diverse and really good.
It is away from the street so you cant get by car and it is difficult to find it, but the staff offer you a lift from/to airport/port.
The white walls The nice pool The comfortable outdoor seating areas and patios The umbrellas Tonya and George The donkey that carried our luggage The walk to Oia
Some may not like the 10 minute walk to Oia, it was fine for us The breakfast was fine, but not spectacular The shower was very tight
Very friendly people and always available.
Distance from town
Excellent hotel in a small, non-touristic village at 5 min from a most touristic location. An ideal combination. Very, very clean rooms with very good mattresses. I have been enjoying a perfect sleep during all my stay.
The hotel is located in a small village accessible only on foot. Unfortunately the car parking so small and crowded that it is next to impossible to find a parking place. Something should be done about this.
We loved the village of Finikia, it was the perfect location for us. We enjoyed the walk into Oia(roughly 25 min total)depending how hot it was. In the evening when it was cooler maybe 20min. We loved local restaurants Finikia Place, Krinaki and Santorini Mau in particular. The apartments are spotless and we'll equipped, all staff were delightful and only too willing to oblige. The pool was a real treat at the end of a hot day. The donkey escort was a quirky touch. Georgis and his wife Tania were adorable too. We had tho option to stay in the centre of Oia but are glad we chose to stay here, we experienced a more unspoilt Greece and appreciated the quiet.
Nothing. A real home from home would highly recommend.
View, staff, pool, terrace, village
Parking was a bit far from facilities
We really liked the room which was simple/typical greek stile, really clean and tidy. Wi-fi was always working. Me and my boyfriend stayed in the room N° 1 which had a great view to the sunset (July-August period) and the country side of Finikia. It also had a nice reserved terrace. Location was really relaxing, a bit outside the crowded Oia...but close enough to get to Oia by foot with a 15/20 min walk. The owners are really great people - especially Tania who was really nice and helpful. Our stay here was really great!
Quiet and relaxing location away from the hustle of the main town. Pretty views
The View The pool The service
The studio for 4 people in a single room was just fair, with small comfort
2 hours late when the owner promised to send us to airport, which caused us almost unable to put the checked in luggage. And still need to received a "warm" disgusting expression from the owner when we try to remind them. services only based on money. Air conditional not really work, and reception is only open in the morning, hardly to approach any staffs when we need them.
The people who run this apartment are absolutely beautiful. We couldnt thank them enough for helping us while we lost our luggage. They are very helpful and really make you feel at home. The rooms are comfortable and in a lovely spot. If you want to experiance santorini as a local but close enough to the attractions this is the place to be.
Exceptional location in a traditional village, delicious breakfast, the pool was refreshing after the walk to the village. Private balcony with a nice view. Very good restaurant nearby in the village of Finikia.
Weak wi-fi Airconditioning didn't really work
Provides best breakfast in this area. Very clean environment.
Located too far from the parking lot and guests have to walk over a considerable distance through the narrow alley.
location, close to oia very kind personnel, Georgis helps you in renting car/motorbike very good free transfer service to port/airport
breakfast is poor there is a long path between parking place and rooms
8th- 22nd july 2014 We stayed for 2 weeks in apartment no 1. It had a private balcony and a view of the sunset. The village is beautiful and very traditional. The apartment and communal areas are kept very clean, it was always spotless. The housekeeping is amazing, clean towel's every day.The walk from the car park is 7 min's, the paths are rough cobbles and there are quite a few steps, not suitable for pushchairs, flat shoes needed. The locals are friendly and all say hello as you pass. The pool is more of a plunge pool great to cool off in. Its peaceful and quiet. Breakfast is a greek breakfast, we tried most things but don't expect any toast, bacon or sausage.I'm hard to please and I was pleasantly surprised I loved it, I felt like we had a real taste of grease. We had a car for the whole 2 weeks,if walking to oia once out of the village the walk is about 30 minutes on a very busy main road with mad drivers I wouldn't have wanted to do it.With this one you it does what it says on the tin, quaint, friendly, very clean, typically greek, great views, beautiful island and I would stay again.
Nothing. No one should stay here
Everything bad Owner lady Georgi's wife had a very rough behavior. When asked for water she said is it not hot weather in your country. Bad wifi. Poor way to transport only by donkey. Bag got torn apart on donkey's top.
The couple which owns this place tries to be nice, but being nice wasn't enough to vanish all the problems: ok... They have picked us up at the port and after our stay, they brought us back to the Port... So did the other Hotels in the Islands. Ok... They helped us with a car rental and with a boat trip, so did the people from every hotel we stayed before and after... Being myself a Travel Agent, I know what to expect as a complimentary service!
A tiny and very hot room (very different from all the photos provided - there is no photo of this specific bedroom!!!); no light in the double bed area; my daughter had to sleep in a couch, not in a bed, even though I have booked for a triple room; and, my son and I had to share a bed, because they intended to put a campaign bed in the middle of the "kitchen". No internet in our room, even though I complained about and they said that it was normal, but the previous information was that we would have free internet throughout the hotel. In the very first night I have had to kill two spiders in my room, one bigger and a little bit scary and they said "this is countryside, you know, this is not a big city...": I know very well, since I live in a country full of spiders, but I had never killed any spider in any hotel before! They put photos to make you believe you will be near the caldera, but they were in the opposite side: ok, from the top of the ceiling of my room, in a kind of terrace, I could see the famous sunset, but if you want to walk to the Oia villa, you will have to walk for 25/30 minutes!!! To make short a very long story: We felt like we were in a kind of scam...
Tania and Georgis are super nice and the place is awesome, a little bit far from the center, but that's what makes this place THE place to be in Santorini.
I liked everything!
The owners of the place are the sweetest people. It was great to get transfers and they even dropped me to the city center. Breakfast was very generous with some interesting hand-baked delicacies. The hotel is located in the maze of original traditional settlement of Phinikia, beautiful and historic. Beautiful views of the blue sea from the terrace. Nice spacious room.
We felt like staying at a friend's house, not a pension or a resort. Gerge and his wife welcomed the guests like their family or friends. Breakfast was nice, and the view from the roof top was stunning in the evenings! It was like 30-40 mins walk to Oia town, it will be difficult to walk to Oia during the day, but it was a nice and lovely walk to the town after sunset. Georgis apartments was great value! :) Loved everything about it.
Wi-fi wasn't working in the room.
-Georgis and his wife are very polite. -Good food for breakfast. -Very clean. -10 min. walking to reach the center of Oia.
wi-fi connection sometime not working.
Great location, just out of Oia. George and Tanya were great. Very friends,y and willing to help with anything. The breakfasts were excellent. We would highly recommend to others!
We had booked a studio with a kitchen but on arrival, Tanya showed us to a room with no kitchen. When I asked about this, we felt that Tanya thought we were being difficult by changing rooms but we were simply requesting our correct room. It was made into a bit of an issue when it shouldn't have been.
George and his wife were very friendly and accommodating. The first room was very spacious, it slept four with kitchenette and table/chairs. We offered to move rooms after first night when George asked, no big deal. Second room much smaller, only bedrm and bathrm, but we had a semi private terrace area on second floor with lounge chairs to make up for lack of space. The view from there was nice. George gladly refunded some money for the smaller accommodations. Breakfast was nice. A mixture of homemade casseroles (courtesy of George's wife) pound cake, fresh fruits, yogurt with toppings, cereal and juice/coffee/tea. Pool was nice, though very small, but all you need. Airport shuttle by George was included. Loved the donkey transporting our luggage from parking lot to apartments as it is a ten minute walk on paths. Occasionally had some problems with wifi in the room. Sightseeing in Santorini: Local buses are the way to go or rent a scooter for a day. Drivers are crazy and roads very narrow. If you are walking, be careful. To rent scooter you have to have an international drivers license...what the heck! Three days...Oia one day, Fira another, then the other side for beaches and Akrotiri. A sunset catamaran boat trip is a must, spend the money!
Just be ready to walk. As I said before it is at least a ten minute walk from room to road. Then it is about another ten minute walk to town Oia. We didn't mind and were prepared but make sure you bring walking shoes, flip flops won't do.You are definitely not in the heart of things...it's quiet but also cheaper.
This was just the place I was looking for - peace & quiet to relax whilst within walking distance of Oia. The staff were welcoming and couldn't do enough to make me feel at home. I would definitely return
Beautiful place and views. Good breakfasts. Terrace with tables and sea view.
Very uncomfortable bathroom. Weak WiFi
