The young woman employed for the season to "front" the hotel was a delight to talk with and exceptionally helpful in answer general queries and assisting in the hiring of a car and bicycles. The cleaning staff were very friendly and did a good job. There were always plenty of beds around the pool and the pool was well maintained and fun to swim in. Breakfast was typical Greek fare with good and ample choice but unfortunately margarine was provided - not butter.

So many things, which is a shame, as this aparthotel has potential. But for reasons you will read below we will never return there and cannot recommend it. We arrived just before midnight, very tired and hungry after a 16 hour journey involving trains planes and automobiles. We were asked for immediate payment and when I offered my credit card they asked for cash. This was an inconvenience to us as we had planned to pay for the hotel by credit card. We asked if we could have something to eat. We were told that this was not possible at that time. They did however provide us with a bottle of water which was later charged to our room. We had to take a 15/20 min walk into Tigaki to find a taverna where we had a much welcomed meal. Our "welcome" at the hotel was not a good start. The location of the hotel is in a rural area on the outskirts of Tigaki. Very peaceful but quite remote. Despite the distances given in the hotel's advertising, a walk to the beach via the salt lake takes 40 minutes. A walk to the tavernas in Tigaki is about 15 minutes. A large modern supermarket is about 15 minutes away also. We decided to take breakfast as an optional extra at the hotel. On the 5th morning when my wife made up a single roll from her breakfast plate to eat later in our room we were told that she was not allowed to remove it from the breakfast room. One of the reasons we considered booking this hotel was the influence the advertising photos on the hotel's website had on us. The reality is different. The professional photographs make the rooms look very enticing with bundles of towels neatly positioned, burning candles, mirror reflections etc. In reality the rooms are quite basic. They were roomy and clean but nowhere near as romantic as the look in the advertising. There were no pictures on the walls and the only hospitality item in the room was a bar of soap. Another problem which caused great difficulty was the light that came in the room.

    - really kindly and helpful staff -clean room and all hotel - nice garden and clear water in swimming pool -really reasonable price for that quality Overall we had great time here

    - a little far from the beach (maybe 20-25 min. walk) - quite small shower in out room

The reception closes at midnight. One night we went out and were told the front door would be locked then. Previous nights the back door to reception had been open so I felt no cause for concern. Until we arrived back at 3:30 am to find the reception completely locked and no way of getting in as key was in reception. It's a right money making racket. The owner Maria just wants you to stay there all the time.
