Grecotel Creta Palace  

1. Die lage ist top und von allen hotels dort die beste, vor allem was den breiten und langen strandabschnitt betrifft. Die zimmer sind super und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das frühstücksbüffett sowie das essen im hotel ist super

Das bad verfügt über zwei seperate waschbecken und badewanne aber über keine extra dusche. Das duschen in der wanne war sehr unbequem

Nous avions retenus deux nuits sur la pub qu'en fait booking.com et avons été très déçus, mais ne pouvions annuler la deuxième nuit pré- payée. Déçus tout d'abord par le (mauvais) accueil : le personnel est débordé et peu aimable. Ensuite, comme il faisait trop froid pour se baigner dans la mer ou la piscine extérieure, nous sommes allés au spa, qui est gratuit mais beaucoup trop petit pour un hôtel aussi grand. Et surtout très sale ! la (petite) piscine est colonisée par des enfants, l'eau est chaude mais trouble, les bords sont gluants... Aucune précaution d'hygiène n'est observée. On circule en chaussures jusqu'au bord de la piscine, puis on refait le même trajet pieds nus mais en sens inverse jusqu'au jacuzzi... Nous n'y sommes pas retournés une deuxième fois. La situation de l'hôtel, sa fréquentation familiale l'apparente davantage à un camping amélioré qu'à un hôtel de classe. Beaucoup, beaucoup trop cher pour les prestations proposées !

The staff at Grecotel Creta Palace was definitely the highlight of the trip. I also liked that there was evening entertainment almost every night.

The hotel described the room as "Elegant room, decorated in gold, silver and ivory shades with stone or wooden floors. Ultra comfortable bed surrounded by handcrafted furniture and Italian lighting. They all enjoy sea views, while the sofa in the lounge area can sleep one child. Modern conveniences include 32-inch flat-screen tv. Bathroom with glass mosaic and marble tiles." The room was not "elegant" and did not have stone or wooden floors...we had carpet. The bed was very uncomfortable and we had to request a foam topper be added so we could sleep. I also didn't like that the beach was described as "sandy" when in fact it was rocky from about 10 feet before you got into the water. It hurt my feet so badly that I had to purchase water shoes.

The staff was very attentive and well trained. The spa was impressive. The alternate restaurants offered a high quality experience. We had no experience with the main restaurant.

The prices were high given the facilitees, rooms, amenities and setting. There are many places around the globe that would provide a substantially higher caliber experience for the same or lower price.
