In the center of Chania, Kydon Hotel is across from of the main market hall and just a short walk from the Old Town and the Venetian Harbour.
Score from 463 reviews Wonderful
Porto Veneziano Hotel is in a fantastic location on the waterfront of Chania's Old Venetian harbor.
Score from 617 reviews Wonderful
Built in 1659, Porto Antico is located in the picturesque Venetian harbour of Chania and within a short walk from the town centre.
Score from 303 reviews Very good
Great staff - always willing to help, nice clean hotel, good breakfast, within walking distance to central Chania.
Nothing to dislike.
Pretty much everything was good, nice bed, clean room, private parking, short walk to the city center.
Very poor breakfast for the type of hotel (why would you serve canned fruit while the entire island is full of fruit you can just pick off the trees?). No double bed provided even though requested.
The house keeping staff were so friendly and helpful
The beds were a little uncomfortable
Lovely hotel, staff very helpful, breakfast adequate, lovely roof terrace. Bedroom really nice and very clean
Location, personel attention.
Breakfast must be improved is not aceptable in such hotel serves artificial juice
Aristocratic, old era hotel. A good experience, nice colours!
On walking distance to the old town of chania
The hotel is just impressive and beautiful, especially if you stay at the old section of it as we did. Classy, with attention to detail, comfortable, perfectly decorated. Breakfast was ok but enough to start your day with. Hotel parking also available.
You will most probably need a car to go down-town to the old port of Chania.
friendly and helpful staff
Appearance of hotel, comfortable bed. Staff were very helpful with info, booking excursions, etc.
About 15 min walk from town which got a little long when tired.
The garden and the ambiance
Location is very good, quiet and far from the noisy tourist stream but 20 minutes walking from the center. Room was very clean and with plenty of space. We stayed in the new wing and I really liked that the rooms were renewed but keeping the old style look with very comfortable beds. Highly recommended for city travelers.
Room for breakfast was a bit small and crowded.
very clean renovated room and bathroom . nice location in a beautiful neighborhood of chania . very helpful staff.
i booked the suite which i think was a bit pricy ... shouldn't cost more than a superior room .
The staff arranged a transfer from the airport for us. They were so nice and so welcoming. The hotel is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone
Enjoyed the breakfasts. location was excellent.
Our stay at Halepa hotel was really great. Staff was really kind and helpful. Breakfast was versatile and more than enough. Hotel has a sun terrace with a wonderful view over the sea and great place to sunbathe or to have a glass of wine in the evening. City centre and good restaurants are not so far away as well. In general everything was absolutely great.
It was not possible to close the door to the bathroom.
The garden and building itself were lovely, great service!
Facilities were good and service was excellent; the sun terrace with Jacuzzi was very enjoyable.
The breakfasts were monotonous and the location inconvenient - 20 minutes walk computer harbour area
Over all a nice stay. Lovely building with nice staff.
Over all it was a nice stay. But in the end there were some problems with how many night we booked to stay. Booking.com didn't bother to tell the hotel that we changed our stay. This problem, me and my husband had to deal with for over 24 hours. We also had to present our problem for all four members of the reception staff. They deffinetley have to talk to eachother more, to not make the guest worry. The pool also needs to be clean at least once a week. It was too disgusting in the end of our stay. A yellow stripe of something...
The garden cleanliness Big room
Staff's suggestions for the sight seeings were not the best.
Location, the main building, quiet and relaxed environment.
Small rooms, somewhat inexperienced staff, lousy Wi-Fi, typical breakfast, rooms have no view or balcony.
Location near Chania village, private parking available
Staff was not always giving good advice, breakfast not the best I tries
Very accommodating and friendly staff. The old part of the building (lobby, lounge area and garden with fountain) was most charming.
The bathroom design was difficult. There was a very small space and a deep tub that was difficult to step in and out of. The sink drain had no release lever so it was not possible to put the stopper in the sink and easily let the water out. Although the walk into the town was along the water and pleasant, the distance made being in the old town less convenient.
Beautiful garden. Elegant rooms. Lovely staff.
This is a hotel that is a 15-20 minute stroll along the sea front into the old town of chania. The hotel itself is kept in emmaculate order by the staff, who all have this nack of being professional in all they do.Being willing and helpful to assist there guest seems to be second nature. Maria in reception was especially there at all times to help my wife and I with any request, mainly to point out the best restaurant on the island within five minutes of the hotel.Breakfast was of continental style and was always taken in the garden which were emmaculate. All in all a great stay, which I would recommend to anyone looking for style and professional staff.
