The villa was immaculate. The kitchen had everything you would need. The hosts left fruit and milk, a delicious meal on our arrival, and olive oil and wine were also left in the week. The beds were very comfortable. The sheets and towels (pool towels too) were changed mid week, and more clean bedding was provided if we needed it. The owners were available if needed and responded quickly to any questions. We had a query about the air con, which was answered straight away. The problem was with us, not the air con!! The property was light and airy and larger than the photos suggested. There is plenty of shade if you need it and a lovely covered terrace. Pool is great. There is a lovely breeze up in the hills, so we did not need the air con during the day. Views are amazing. Watch the swifts, and resident hawks fly in the valley and just switch off. Beautifully quiet. Lidl in the town nearby (15 minute drive).

Situated on top of Anemomilos hill, Harkia Villas features an outdoor pool with summer terrace plus panoramic views of the Cretan Sea. The family-run restaurant serves Cretan, Greek and international dishes. Each 2-bedroom villa has 2 bathrooms, of which one has a hydromassage tub. There is a large balcony on the upper floor, and a spacious living area with fireplace and flat-screen satellite TV on the ground floor. There is also a fully equipped kitchen fitted with a dishwasher, fridge and spacious dining area. The villa’s large kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and dining area. BBQ facilities are also provided. Guests can opt for fine dining at the restaurant. Guests can participate in a number of agri-tourism activities, such as wine making. Cooking lessons are also provided, and staff can arrange for walking tours and sightseeing tours. Harkia Villas is located only 500 metres from the scenic village of Harkias and restaurants and 9 km from the nearest beach. Nearby points of interest include the Arkadi Monastery. Rethymno Old Town and port are 17 km away.
