Located at the highest point of the caldera, Heliotopos is a boutique hotel built in the traditional dome style. It offers uniquely decorated rooms with private balconies overlooking the volcano. Heliotopos hotel air-conditioned rooms are tastefully furnished and decorated with paintings, embroidery and artistic objects. They include a kitchenette, a satellite TV, a CD player and a safety box. A lavish buffet breakfast is served every morning in the courtyard including homemade specialties and freshly baked bread. The cave room offers a unique ambiance for wedding receptions or professional meetings. In the evening local wine, cocktails and beverages, along with snacks, fresh salads and delicious light dishes are served in this chamber. Hotel Heliotopos also features an outdoor swimming pool with a terrace offering magnificent views of the caldera. The views from each balcony are beautiful... And also the hotel is very close to Fira, walking (30 minutes) or for those lazy ones, the bus stop is just 5 minutes from the hotel. So there is not a problem to be located in Imerovigli. It's actually very quite and relaxing place. The best for us was the super delicious fresh pressed orange juice offered every morning with the breakfast..!! yummy ! The bathroom is very out-dated and the shower does not have shower-head ! So you are supposed to bath with one hand holding one of those old hand showers... (!) Something else; there is only 1 restaurant nearby, so, if you do not eat in Fira... And you had already tried the only restaurant in Imerovigli, you are basically screwed up. I do not recommend eating dinner in the hotel, it was horrendous .
