This charming hotel is in an excellent location, very near the Acropolis and the Plaka. The staff was very accommodating and the rooms are well- appointed and comfortable. The hotel's rooftop restaurant overlooks the Acropolis and we had a lovely evening meal overlooking the spotlit ancient site fronted by the beautiful new museum at it's base. A truly memorable experience!

The hotel was really nice and central to where we wanted to be and go. We booked for one night and decided to stay for 2 nights. On inquiring about another night we were told they were fully booked. Enquired the next morning to be told they were still fully booked. Went online to find there were 2 rooms available so booked online and stayed an extra night. Not impressed that the staff could not look up the computer and give us a little service when required.

The hotel was in the center right next to the new acropolis museum. It had car parking so we cold leave the car at hotel and take advantage of the public transport which was right by the hotel or walk everywhere since it is in the center. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was worth waking up for every day!!!( I couldn't eat again until dinner!) Just a few remarks. The rooms do not have wireless internet access so my laptop had to be in a fixed place. And for some reason there were no plugs in the bathtub so although all rooms have baths you could not have one! When I asked for a plug they told me they would send me one. We stayed for 3 days one never arrived! Other than that we had a great time I would recommend

Staff: friendly, helpful and courteous Location: Within walking distance of many things we wanted to do Breakfast: Very good options and your time of operation was great. Size: We like the smaller hotels like yours where as customers we are not forgotten or overlooked. The carpets were very stained so it made you think not clean. We stayed one night on the first floor and it seemed to have more staining and the white walls did not seem clean. The other 5 nights we stayed on the 3rd floor and it was really just the carpet that had the stains. Our beds were clean and so was our bathroom. Even with the stains we would definitely consider staying with you again if we came to Athens. The only other concern was the glass ware as we felt it was wiped out but not exchanged for new glasses each day.

The breakfast was amazing! The location was beyond compare - right next to the Acropolis!!! The service was impeccable and the rooftop bar/restaurant with a view of the Acropolis at night was perfect The beds were hard - but that is customary for Europe.

Fantastic location, very nice rooms (small... But beautiful balconies), great maid service. Literally 5 minute walk to the major acropolis sites, near the Plaka neighborhood. Perfect for seeing Athens if you don't have a lot of time. Breakfast is included and good. The restaurant on the roof was very good but not great. I would explore the neighborhood more for food.

We have stayed here twice now. Both times just for one-night stop on our way home. This time they upgraded us to a room with large balcony with Acropolis view. The best thing is undoubtably its proximity to Acropolis and Plaka. Secondly the roof-top bar and restaurant. It is also reasonably undisturbed by traffic. The personell have both times been very helpfull with small arrangements. Why are hotelbeds in Greece som hard?

“An excellent choice for visiting Athens. Athens Gate made our stay a real pleasure. The hotel has a perfect location for tourists, is spotlessly clean, and we really liked the modern decor. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful, especially during the strikes. And, of course, the roof top garden breakfast with views of the Parthenon and city was a perfect way to start any day. A great place to stay and a real value for the money!” Kelly, Fallbrook |
