Location to the Acropolis Friendly staff Very nice hotel Centrally located
We loved everything about this hotel! The location is awesome. The amenities and professional, helpful staff make this hotel worth every penny. Our room boasted a view of the Acropolis and the beds were AWESOME! We received a very warm welcome and all of the staff were so helpful offering us information about the local area along with suggestions to make our visit the best. Our first stay was for one evening, and we left to a few of the other Greek Islands with a return to Athens a few days later. The service here was so great we decided to stay here when we returned. It was nice to come "home" to such a great hotel. We ended up leaving our car in the hotel garage at no extra cost while visiting other Greek Islands, and because we departed so early the hotel staff brought a plate of fruit and pastries the evening before. We plan to visit Athens again, and will definitely stay here with our two boys who are 6 & 8. Thank you Hera Hotel for a wonderful experience and memories that will last forever!
the best location very good facilities
the staff is bit less warm although they are polite enough
appreciated having the hotel arrange travel from the airport to the hotel.

Loved the location. Close to Acropolis and museum but had a more residential feel. Staff was great and they have a very nice breakfast and awesome roof top bar with views of acropolis. Would stay there again and highly recommend!
Staff very friendly Great location.
You have to pay extra for air conditioning.
The location was perfect - walking distance to the Acropolis and the Plaka area. The view from the restaurant upstairs was spectacular - the Acropolis lit at night is great!!!
Breakfast was poor
Our stay at the Hera Hotel was excellent, we had a really great experience. The hotel is perfectly located with the Acropolis Museum just around the corner. The staff, the rooms and the breakfast were excellent and the WiFi was working well everywhere in the entire building. On top of everything else the roof garden is really extraordinary with a breathtaking view of the Acropolis with great ambience music, great drinks and great food. In the overall one of the best hotel experiences in Greece.
We loved everything!
Absolutely wonderful location - acros the street from Acropolis Museum, walking distance to many sites and to Plaka. Helpful friendly staff, nice breakfast, comfortable room, good wifi.
roof canting is good. staff nice and helpful. breakfast good too，and in a beautiful room with glass ceiling
Excellent hotel in a very convenient location (very close to the Acropolis Metro station, and plenty of restaurants). Staff was incredibly courteous & helpful. Great value for the hotel too. Hotel itself was very clean and in a safe neighborhood.
Can't flush toilet paper! (Though that's true for all of Athens!)
Great location near acropolis, museum, and dining.
Everything a little dated.
Staff were extremely helpful in resolving lost baggage issues for 2 of our group and in facilitating other stressful situations. Fabulous customer service on every level!
wish breakfast started an hour earlier.
The Hera Hotel is a small, friendly, exceptionally well located hotel in Athens for the visiting tourist. We opted to have the Hotel arrange for our airport pick up which was worth the expense. The car was waiting when we arrived from 20 hours of traveling and whisked us to downtown and the hotel. Check in was quick, efficient and helpful. All of the desk staff we encountered were knowledgeable and went out of their way to give good service. The bar/ restaurant at the top of the hotel was beautiful in the evenings with a drop dead view of the Acropolis. We stayed 4 days and enjoyed all of them.
The hotel advertises 'small' rooms and they are telling it like it is. Our room was small but the price, location and friendliness of the hotel staff made up for this.
Walk to Acropolis Museum and Plaka.
We stayed at the Hera 4 years ago and it was exceptional in every way. However, on this occasion we felt that the rooms and bathrooms could have been cleaner. There was a layer of dust on all the bedroom surfaces and the lamp in the bathroom had dust hanging from the shade and in the light bulb cup. The repairs that have been done, when required, have been done shabbily. It is such a pity that the standards in this once great hotel are being allowed to slip. Saying this, we will return to the Hera because of the lovely leafy surrounds, and the pleasant staff.
