Great Breakfast... best has so far in Greece
The location is really good if you want to visit the Plaka or the Acropolis, both are within walking distance. Generally nice staff Nice bar on the top floor with great views. Prices are better elsewhere in the city.
We had a wheelchair room, the shower wasn´t comfortable (open, so everything wet) The room was quite small (surprisingly for a wheelchair room) Breakfast: choice a little basic for 4 -star. The espresso is great though! The room was very warm (but our heating unit was off)
- perfect location - extremely friendly and helpful staff - great value for money - good food in the restaurant with amazing view of Acropolis!
- issues with heating system (quickly resolved though) - breakfast although good could offer more choices
The hotel is close to a metro stop and has a view of the acropolis. We liked this hotel because of the location. Staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be having the language barrier between American and Greek. Their breakfast which costs about 15 euro is totally worth it especially since its so hard to find a REAL breakfast. Our room was quiet and comfortable.
Now as it is my 7th stay I can say this is a close to perfect Hotel.
great location, nice interior design, good quality, nice & friendly staff
that was really good, if I'd have to pick up something that would one of the slowest lift
The location is bang on at the foot the Acropolis... any closer or more convenient imposible. The breakfast is on from 7 to 11 with takes away the pressure to get up early or late. The offer quite wide and full on.
The air conditioning system. There was no way we could regulate the temperature in hour room, it was constantly blowing on hot air. I know we are in the middle of the greek winter and they may feel the need for the heating when around 15C; for us northerners that's about spring temperature. We had to sleep with the windows opened at the end of february. Mind the night breeze cool us down it also gave a cold to my partner.
Nice area close to the museum and the acropolis. Good hotel
Cannot use the bath tube (construction problem, it flods the bathroom... ...) and air onditioning was not working :(
excellent location, helpful stuff, nice roof garden:)
Very lovely staff who were helpful and polite, hotel was brilliant location wise and standards and an all round good experience.
Excellent view!!!! friendly staff!
They told that they had a parking space but there wasn't any for me when arrived !! Air conditioner was not working and it's freezing inside the room. I travel a lot especially to that region but next time Hera !! NO!!!
-staff was good about letting me keep luggage there -location was very convenient to Acropolis, lots of little restaurants nearby
-asked for quiet and view ahead of time and in person but got a view of a wall, located right across from elevator. Was told nothing else was available even though it was dead of winter off season. As I was only staying one night I suspect it had more to do with that and that I wasn't spending enough $ with them. -noisy as windows and walls not insulated well -standard room was cramped
This was hands down the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Greece!! It was walking distance to all the sites, shops and restaurants and the beds don't even get me started A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The staff was so great and super helpful they helped us navigate around the city and had a car ready and waiting for our very early morning departure to the airport. I honestly have nothing bad to say about Hera whatsoever. If you like horrible beds, bad staff and a crappy location then this is NOT the hotel for you!
Friendly and helpful staff . Location is within five to fifteen minute walk of many attractions and restaurants. Maid service was helpful and very thorough.
Slow Wi-Fi. Only two english speaking channels on tv. Rooms are small.
The place is very conveniently located if you wish to see the Acropolis museum. Its breakfast is fresh and well presented. One sleeps fairly well at the hotel.
We had to move due to a stated plumbing problem and were inconvenienced since there was no exact equivalent to the interconnecting rooms we had specifically requested and paid extra for. The shower head in our new bathroom was very leaky.
Very friendly staff Very good location Good value for the price I guess
Rooms are small Carpet on the floor old and almost dirty
Views of the Acropolis from the restaurant, delicious food, very good Buffet breakfast in a charming atrium, very helpful staff.
Soiled paper could not be flushed down the toilet but had to be put in a bin. Did not expect this in a 4 star hotel in Athens. Came across this arrangement many years ago in Elounda in Crete and frankly it put me off Greece ...until last Tuesday, not sure now if I will ever return.
Friendly staff, proximity of Acropolis, proximity of metro and restaurants and cafes.
Didn't try breakfast as seems really expensive at €15 per person.
Dinner at peacock bar was sensational. Great view and the waitress was fantastic.
Not being able to place paper in toilet bowl.
breakfast good, location great, beds good.
couldn't turn down the heat so we were too hot.
Location, hotel restaurant, breakfast, view of the Acropolis.
Very warm room, no air conditioning, very small room.
I consider this hotel of 10 mark because it offers a really good report between quality and price. This hotel is very wall situated in the touristic centre of Athens. You can just short walk to the main sites (Acropole, Plaka, Syntagma, Monasteraki). Also, the metro station Acropolis is near the hotel. Hotel's staff is very nice, polite, helpful. The rooms are not so small as described by others. Breakfast is rich and tastefull.
Fantastic location within walking distance to great shops and restaurants. It is literally just down the street from Akropoli metro station and the Acropolis museum. Lovely staff and extensive international breakfast buffet. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Wifi was spotty at best
The hotel is very well located: close to the Acropolis, and of the main attractions of the site, as well as close to the Plaka region, which is full of restaurants and stores.
The internet connection has slow velocity, and sometimes it is impossibile to use it when the hotel is full.
