Hotel Hercules  

A nice, family run hotel with a fire burning constantly in the fireplace. As it was cool and rainy the whole time, we appreciated the fire and the well heated hotel room. The location is perfect, the manager was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was only 2.5 euros for something very acceptable (an egg, home made bread, cakes, butter, honey, marmelade, coffee and a freshly squeezed orange juice.) The room was very clean.

One or two nights would be enough for what Olympia offers. We booked four nights when the Hercules hotel description said that it had bicycle rental and canoeing. On arrival, the manager told us that the bikes were not available and that no one biked or canoed in the winter. If that is the case, hotel owners must spell out that these things are only offered in season. Being tourists from Mexico, we had no idea this was the case. We were very disappointed and feel that hotels need to be more specific as to what is available and when. Still, we had booked for four days and it was difficult to change plans at that point. This is about truth in advertising and full disclosure. Also, a little more attention should be paid to detail: a light was out in the bedroom, the spring hinges of the closet door made enough noise to wake people up, and the furniture and wood work need polishing.

Nice and simple Hotel, Good price, nice rooms, pleasant.

Location was perfect if you want to spend the night at Olympia.

The room was not soundproof, we had trouble falling asleep doe to noise from the outside.

Fantastic location here, though I guess in Olympia, everything is pretty close. None the less , a very short stroll from the bus stops on the main street, extremely easy to find. Staff were very helpful with providings of maps and giving some tips about where to go . The rooms were clean and cool. Wifi is available, though not the best reception in all rooms. Didn't have the breakfast that is available, but it smelt great.

Only stayed for one night and nothing really jumped out as being off. As mentioned above, the wifi in our particular room wasnt the best, but there is a big area downstairs where you can use it.

Like a lot of Greek establishments the plumbing could be better.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Hercules. The owner treated us very well, and served us a delicious breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice! The room was good as well.

The shower at night had cold water, but in the morning it was fine.

Hotel situé en centre-ville. Site d'Olympie et Musée des JO accessible à pied. Accueil très sympathique et chaleureux des propriétaires. Chambre correcte et petit déjeuner copieux. Possibilité de stationner un véhicule autour de l'hôtel.

Seul petit bémol : bruit si vous avez une chambre située côté rue.

Nous sommes arrivées avant 14h, sans problème, on a eu une chambre tout de suite, propre.

Il faut sonner et attendre un petit moment pour la réception.

Propriétaires sympathiques, situé à proximité du site d'Olympia à pied, prix raisonnable.

L'albergo non è tra i più nuovi, ma è pulito e comodo per la visita al sito archeologico...il proprietario è un tipo molto disponibile, che ci ha anche saputo consigliare un ottimo posto buono ed economico per la cena!
