Hermes Hotel  

The staff were superb. We were in Athens on the day of a major strike/protest demonstration. The guest relations person who is available in the breakfast room every morning, helped guests plan their day so as to avoid any problems. Rooms were very clean with adequate space. Tea and coffee is available in the lobby all day. Breakfast is plentiful with good choices. Front desk people were kind and helpful.

The hotel doesn't have a rooftop view of the Acropolis, but their sister hotel, the Plaka, does and one can access their rooftop and bar. Perhaps because they don't have this facility, the hotel tries harder in other ways.

we loved the location, Good breaky, nice staff,good rooms albeit a bit small in area.

My big dislike was the wifi internet which they charged for .We stayed at dozens of hotels throughout Europe and most had free wifi .Only one other charged for it.

Cool situation in Plaka. Good room arrangement. Staff competent & really taking care. Partial vue on Acropolis from the rooftop.

Elevator issues.

We spent a weekend in this central Athens hotel. The staff very friendly with good English spoken. We would stay there again.

Good location to Plaka tourist area as well as Sygtama Square

Showers, although modern design leaked onto floor.

Elevator was not always working properly. Internet is very expensive, while it should be free or for a more reasonable price.

Hotel staff was very good and the room was lovely. The breakfast was ok.

Very good location, friendly staff and hearty breakfast included in the room price. Their "helwas" at breakfast are melt-in-the-mouth delicious! The hotel is close to Syntagma square and within walking distance to Plaka and Monastiraki. The staff is always willing to help with directions and any other tourist information that you might require during your stay. We also felt pretty safe walking around at night unlike other areas around Omonia which are considered unsafe and dubious. The bathrooms have been recently done up and are very nice compared with others I have encountered in Europe.

Great location! It is very close to all the attractions and quiet in the evening. Very nice staff and clean room!

It would be even better if the double room has a double bed instead of two single beds being put together.

This hotel was wonderful. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was in a great location in relation to the Acropolis and restaurants. The room was great with balcony, plenty of room and very comfortable.

The breakfast in the morning was great, and the staff were very helpful! Also, the location of the hotel was perfect for visiting the various sites in Athens.

Nothing to complain about. The view of the acropolis from the Terrace wasn't as impressive as expected.
