Herodion Hotel  

Excellent Hotel and staff were very accommodating especially for guests like us arriving very early and departing later. Our request for a room with a view of the Acropolis was honored and very much appreciated.

Expensive mini bar in room.Tea and coffee making facilities would be welcome.

Freandly small, clean room

The hotel was in a great location and the food both at breakfast and in the restaurant was very good. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the roof garden was an added bonus.

It advertised as an air-conditioned hotel but they did not have the air-conditioning working even though it was hot. Made it difficult to sleep at night

The location was excellent. We were very happy about the room, from where we could see the Acropolis. The heating was very efficient (we only needed to have it on for 10-15 minutes in the mornings when the room had been cooled off to restore a very comfortable temperature), the shower instantly hot and with nice pressure. We enjoyed the possibility of keeping valuables in the safe, and the fact that our room was truly non-smoking (no smell of cigarettes at all). The breakfast was lovely! Especially the mini pancakes with homemade syrup.

The wifi didn't work at all times, and you get extra annoyed about this when you explicitly pay for it (6 euros per 24 hours). Luckily it was only down for some hours, but in retrospect I think that an automatic reduction of the wifi ticket for that day would've been in its proper place, as a symbolic gesture of goodwill. But it was a minor detail, and all in all it worked well.

The location was really good for seeing the sites in Athens on foot. The breakfast each day was substantial and delicious. The staff was helpful and facilty was quiet.

The hot tube was not even close to hot. We were cold after about 15 minutes.

No Gym, no coffee facilities in room, hot tub/jacuzzi mainly not working.

I enjoyed the restaurant facilities at the hotel including the wonderful breakfast. This set me up for the day and was always fresh and delicious.

The noise from the roof top spa interupted the peaceful setting of the hotel especially when young people decided to use the facilities at night.

Excellently located hotel, in a quieter, cleaner part of Athens, yet only walking distance from most of the main tourist spots and very close to metro station. Clean, quiet and well appointed. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Roof top views to die for.

Internet access was advertised as free during booking but was not. For a hotel a this class and price range should have been included in the price of the stay. Rooftop facilities not available during our stay (in winter, over christmas).

We were very impressed with every aspect of this hotel. It's location is perfect for sightseeing around Athens and we could easily walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. Metro access was very close for our other destinations. The rooftop garden was a wonderful place to relax in the sun and the jacuzzis were another nice touch. Breakfast was amazing and the regular restaurant had delicious food. All hotel staff were most helpful and gave us the help and advice we needed.

This was a 4 stars hotel. It should have "free internet" included in the price. Instead you have to buy the internet day. Passengers do not want to deal with this.

Didn't like the fact that room service staff entered the room daily without sufficient notice to check the mini bar. On two out of our four day stay staff opened the door and waltzed into the room unannounced. I felt this was a huge invasion of privacy. Given the price of the rooms, Internet/wifi and the juccuzi should be free of charge.
