The only good thing was the hot water for the shower.

The rude and unpolite staff at the Reception Desk and in the Main Restaurant during the Breakfast. It is not possible to ask at 10.00a.M. very polite if the room is ready after a early checking is requested and after waiting 2 hours in the Lobby without offering you a glass of water to get an answer from Mr Nikos (Receptionist) that if I give you the room now I have to charge you from last night.Finally we got the room 13:30 and the Minibar it was totally empty even not water was available. Because of the Main Road treffic noise we were not able to sleep the whole night. The breakfast Buffet was very poor quality and everything was on a self service basis even when I have requested a small spoon for my coffee from the waiter, after 10 minutes he told that he has brought it on the buffet and I had to stand and pick up the spoon from the Buffet area.

1St problem is getting there. There is a bus, but no information inside the terminal how to find it. (Turn right outside arrivals and walk to car park) Hotel is 20 mins drive. Staff were indifferent/unfriendly. Beware early morning airport transfer must be booked in advance. Other guests were told there was no place at the time they wanted 'because we have too many guests'. Taxi ride is around 30 Euros. Nice rooms, but at this price, it is really outrageous to charge extra for internet and breakfast. This hotel is a good example of how a monopoly position drives down service and value for guests; there's only one other hotel near the airport, and that's 5 star and very expensive. Next time I will take metro into the city to avoid this rip off.

Clean and comforatable with good free parking

The charge of 12.95 Euros per day was unacceptable and therefore I did not have email access during the stay. In these days of free email access just about everywhere was disappointing. Additionally, 17 Euros for breakfast per person is not good value for money. With free internet and a more reasonable breakfast price the answer to the below would be yes.

My husband and I booked this hotel thinking we would for sure get the quality they advertised, especially seeing they were rated 5 star. However we specifically requested a non-smoking room as I am pregnant and can't stand certain smells right now and when checking in they did not tell us we were not getting this. So after traveling all day and arriving at 2am we climb into bed and it stinks like smoke. The next day we told the manager about this and all we received were excuses. Not the kind of treatment we get from other 5 star hotels.

Very punctual and efficient free shuttle bus service. Ideal for arrving late/ departing early from athens airport. Clean and quite. Staff very helpful printing me the boarding pass for free. 30min internet pc for free

We chose the Holiday Inn Athens Airport because Booking.Com indidated that there was a free shuttle to the airport, since we had to be at airport at 4:00 am. However, the shuttle service does not begin until 5:30 am, so we had to take a taxi, costing an additional 30 euros. Booking.Com should indicate the times of shuttle service!!!!!

Convenient place to over night to make an early plane connection

It was so nice and clean, with all modern amenities, that I thought I was at 5 star hotel. I've stayed at thousands of hotels and this one is the best Holiday Inn period! The restaurant/staff was also outstanding.I Will recommend it to anyone traversing Athens.

They put comforters on the bed which are too warm for sleeping, so we had housekeeping bring sheets and blankets. They were pleased to accommodate this request and did so promptly. Hotel is NOT one mile from the airport...it's about three.

Only significant plus: close to the airport. Adequate in most respects. Restaurant was fine.

Too Expensive!!! Very over priced.

Disappointing - very expensive, restaurant food average, room was nice size but walls paper thin and despite complaining three times about noise (party) in room next door nothing was done. Will not recommend it!!!!

The reason I chose this hotel was because I wanted something close to the ath airport with guaranteed shuttle service. I did not want to take the chance that a taxi driver's strike would cause me to miss my flight. So in the capacity of a hotel that provided me a drive to the airport on the morning of my departure, this hotel was satisfactory. However, if you can find another hotel who will provide this service, take it-- because the Holiday Inn Athens will rip you off in every other way.

I didn't like 112 euro for a one-night stay, 10 euro for internet connection in-room, 17 euro for "breakfast buffet" (which was poorer than the standard complimentary fare offered at every other hotel in Greece during the course of my trip), and poor food quality/quantity at the restaurant for our late-night dinner upon arrival. After staying in so many gorgeous, charming hotels--with great views!--over the course of my 12-day trip to Greece, I couldn't help but feel like I was getting ripped off at the Holiday Inn Athens. I was paying 45 euro/night in Santorini with a great view and free breakfast, so getting gouged at the Holiday Inn put a sour note on an otherwise great trip.
