we had called booking .com and made sure there would be an airport shuttle. we were told they talked to someone at the hotel named George who assured them the shuttle runs every day from 5.30 am till 10.30 pm when we arrived on 6 may at 1pm,...we had to wait till 3.15 in the hot sun in the parking lot. repeated calls to the hotel went unanswered....and finally when the bus arrived the driver said it was a holiday because of easter and the bus only started after 2.45pm. when i checked in at the counter...the receptionist was George...and i told him our problem..he did not even apologize...just said that george is a common name...and he never spoke to anyone. the only reason we booked that hotel was for the free shuttle. since we were leaving very early next morning...we could not even use the shuttle and spent 25 euros for a taxi.

airport shuttle should start earlier in the a.m. we were unable to take advantage of it on our return trip to the airport because our flight was early. the shuttle should run as early as the earliest flight, that is the point of being an airport hotel and offering free shuttle service. the couple in front of us had they same problem and had to pay double for a taxi due to an early flight. one should not have to pay for wifi in the room. wifi is offered for free all over the world in cafe's, libraries, laundromats. as a guest in a hotel, that should be included, hence the word "guest."

The location neerby the airport was very convenient as well as free transportation (bus shuttle) to the terminals.

Very expensive breakfast

Shuttle service to and from the airport was very convenient and readily available. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our dinner was fine and the room very pleasant.

Beautiful room, lovely bathroom, great to have a bath and shower, decoration pleasing, bed comfortable, friendly and helpful staff bringing luggage up etc and attending at desk.

I think Holiday Inn lets itself down badly by very poor food, especially the dinner menu. It could be anywhere, is dull, bland, lacks local flavour, freshness, interest and imagination. Vey poor and would cause me not to come back. The supposedly roasted veg was not roasted, the lettuce droopy and dull, the bread not good greek bread, the cheese likewise, nasty really, cheap but not cheaply priced. For heavens sake do something about this. Do not cater for limited, American, timid and unrepresentative guests. Be better, aspire! Also in the fridge in our room we, two women in our sixties, found that the alcohol consisted of around 6 bottles of different beers and one small bottle of white wine. The flavour was of business men being catered for and a blindness to the rest of us, women, tourists, discriminating, being in Greece, not some unnamed anonymous nowhere/anywhere. The focus on environment has left out the equally important pleasures of that other sense - taste, gourmet desires, epicurean tastes. Do better!

The room was very comfortable and quiet. The sauna was nice.

Charging guests extra for Internet access is a bit old fashioned.

Shuttle to airport and great place pre or post trip

I felt the staff were very courteous and friendly, once I had arrived at the hotel. The room and facilites were clean and a nice open concept. Internet and computers were accessible for printing boarding pass. Easy to locate once I took the metro. Paulas Sfetsas was very kind and listened to my disapointment as to the added cost for a taxi, since it was not running during the time I needed to leave. My flight was at 7 and the shuttle started at 5:30. He kindly offered dinner since I had been invonvenienced during my stay at the Hotel. It was much apreciated. The menu was limited but the food was good.

When I arrived at the Metro, I called the Hotel but no one offered to pick me up. A taxi was sent which added an extra cost. The shuttle did not work with my flight since I needed to be at the airport at 5 A.M. Your shuttle did not start till 5:30. I had to pay 25Euros to get to the airport on time. The schedule of the free shuttle run was not specified on the website. I could have stayed at this price at another hotel closer to the airport that would have accomodated me regarding transportations. I plan on writting a letter to the Manger to discuss how I was disapointed in this matter. The assisting manager was very kind to listen to me and offered a free dinner to help compensate my loss. Pavlas Sfetsas the acting manager is to be recommended for his way of handling the situation. I plan on contacting via e-mail the manager and to describe to him how this stay cost much more than anticipated. Information regarding shuttle service schedule should be mentioned on the website prior to booking. This stay ended up costing me 35 Euros more than anticipated. The computers need some cleaning. The key boards are very dirty. In the rooms, there were no shampoo, conditioner only soap and body lotion.

Excellent facilities, good price and fabulous location.

Staff at the restaurant could have been more friendlier

It's not very close to the aiport but the shuttle is convenient. A taxi costs about 25-30 euro to the aiport, if your flight leaves at off hours. Another option is the x95 bus (to Airport/Syntagma Sq) that can take you into city center or to the airport, for 5 euro - a more economical option. There is literally nothing around the hotel - 2 gas stations, 2 business buildings and 2 bus stops. Stay here for the location or business conference centers but otherwise there is no real reason to stay here.

The only thing I could appreciate about this hotel was that it was close to the airport and provides free airport transportation only untill 10 pm.

The hotel is very expensive for a Holiday Inn, the design is rather offensive to the eyes, the staff is somewhat haughty, and the whole experience is depressingly sterile expensive, and westernized. Internet connection alone was an extra 10 euros. I also shut the electricity off in my room to escape a mechanical electric humming that was keeping me awake. I initially booked because of the airport transportation, but discovered to late that my flight arrived after the cut off time, 10pm, so I had to get a taxi.

Location to the airport. We relaxed on our trip to Greece and also on returning home from Greece

Consistency - they are all the same, so you know what you are getting (and not getting) Free airport shuttle, tho it only runs hourly.

Room lacked coffee sachets, and took 15 min to arrive in the morning - not good for a first coffee. Internet charge at 9.50/24h is daylight robbery, when virtually everyone else is free!

Nice rooms, good breakfast. Helpful staff. Airport bus leaves on the half hour for the airport. You need to call the bus when you arrive or use the local bus x95 or x93 drops you next to the Hotel €5 Taxi is €20- 25 The Hotel bus is in the car park just beyond exit 5 at the terminal, turn right and go beyond the building. If you want to use the local bus, the stop is also at exit 5, ticket office is to the left as you exit. Punch the ticket when you board. Ask the driver for the Hotel.

There is nothing around the area, you need to go to the airport for the train into the city or get the x95 from the stop at the Petrol station. The Hotel bus from the airport stops at 22.00 see note on Buses above. Internet is €9.50 per hotel day 12.00 -12.00

Lots of room in the room itself.

Noisey. Not family friendly at all. Holiday Inn has a policy that kids eat free but this one did not have its restaurant open so the menu at the bar was sparse and did not have choices for children. Also, the Internet is very expensive.

Bookng through Booking.com represented very good value for money (half the normal rate). An excellent base for travel into Athens or as an airport stopover. Food and drink was reasonably priced and good quality. A free airport shuttle was provided. 30 mins free internet.

This is much more economical than staying at the Sofitel next to the airport. It is a bit further away but a lot cheaper. It is very nice and clean.

I liked the fact that there was a shuttle service from the airport as that's why I picked it for an overnight stay. The room was comfortable and clean . The staff were very nice.

I didn't like the fact that the shuttle bus service started later than the early flights do. I wish it started at 5 am because the flights leaving at 6.30 am required a taxi. which costs 25 euros. Otherwise , you'll never make it in time . A bit pricey for just an overnight mini stay.

As I arrived from the Airport @ 4 A.m, I was pleased that the Reception staff were so welcoming. Everything was so comfortable and clean. Although I was late for breakfast the staff were very helpful and caring.

It would be better to have had 24 hour shuttle service from the airport as I arrived @ 4a.m and had to pay for a taxi, and the driver was not too helpful!
