Hotel Alkyon  

We extended our stay at Hotel Alkyon for 2 nights and we're glad that we did. Jack and Catherine made our last few days in Greece most memorable! The hotel had fantastic views of the sea, lovely pool, awesome backyard chess set, great attention to detail, comfy beds/rooms, good breakfast with yummy croissants and most importantly, impeccable hospitality. It was a home away from home. It was nice walk to a few beaches (Megas Gialos beach was our favourite -- as recommended by Catherine) and short ride to town. We're grateful to meet such passionate people who treat their guests like family. We greatly appreciated being picked up from the port in Syros (it was about 9pm) & being dropped off at the airport (around 8am) as well as having an early breakfast prepared especially for us for our early departure. Syros Island now has a special place in our hearts and will definitely return in the years to come. We can't thank you enough, Andrew & Althean

From the moment the owner Katherine introduced us to her husband Jacobi who appeared as if by magic from a hole in the ground by the immaculate pool, we knew there was something special about the Alkyon. We were proved right. The Hotel was spotless; the staff, who incidentally are all family, very caring, nothing appeared too much trouble. We had a room overlooking the sea,which although a little small was perfectly adequate, and spotlessly clean. This is a place for relaxation! The poolside music subtle very definitely in the background and blends in with the desire to let the stresses and strains of everyday life drain away. We dined in the Hotel each evening because the menu was such that we did not feel the need to venture out to the nearby Tavernas. A good choice every meal surpassed our expectations. We no doubt could have eaten at cheaper establishments but I doubt better. The criticisms if one has to state any are minimal and picky. Fresh milk with the tea and coffee rather than individual sachets would be nicer. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Syros. Thank you Jack and Katherine.

The breakfast is really poor. There is absolutely no sound isolation.

Accueil formidable, gentillesse et disponibilité des propriétaires. Très bonne cuisine familiale. Hotel situé dans un cadre idyllique, très calme. Chambres spacieuses et très propres avec une super literie.

Un séjour de rêve donc rien à signaler de négatif

Plus qu'à l'hotel c'est avant tout chez Catherine et Jacques que vous serez reçus les bras ouverts. Un sourire, un coeur ouvert, des hoteliers à l'ancienne qui vous faciliteront vraiment le voyage. Service irréprochable, piscine et vue tip top, foncez y les yeux fermés!!
