Hotel El Greco  

Very lovely hotel in the centre of Thessaloniki, which make it close to all shopping and walking street. Nice staff. Breakfast was also suit for a 3-star hotel (bakery, fruits, eggs). Most of all we were please with the room - very comfortable beds, cozy room in general. I can say it was much better then a 4-star hotel in Athens.

It is good hotel, completely justifies its 3 stars. Quiet, silent, pure, cozy.

Breakfast is the only thing that I appreciated, along with the free and fast WiFi connection in the room (I had the router in front of my door so the signal was good, don't know for other rooms).

Got a triple room, it was a double room fitted with one extra bed. The bed was terribly sagged in the middle, could not sleep at all for one night, then I asked for another room. The toilet is really really tiny and a mountain of foam came out of the drain hole on the floor when I got the shower. The rooms are too small, the air conditioning system is noisy, walls are worn and furniture are old. This hotel is really filthy.

The parking service of the hotel was very good and very convinient. The staff were very polite, rooms were very clean and the location was excellent. In the heart of the city. Excellent value for money....

We stayed just for one night, but we especially enjoyed the cleanliness of the room. The stuff was very kind and helpful with us, while the location of the hotel was just in the centre of the city and it was very easy to walk around to the restaurants at the area of Ladadika. The parking in the area is very difficult so it was very important that the hotel has a parking area.

This was a very nice hotel. I enjoyed a clean, quiet stay. I especially appreciated that the nonsmoking room was really a nonsmoking room (since I am sensitive to and can't stand tobacco smoke), which is often not the case in Europe. The staff was friendly and nicely efficient and the rooms were cleaned nicely also. The breakfast was also good. Of course if you want to dish out triple the money you can stay in a luxury hotel, but in terms of cost performance the Hotel El Greco was really excellent, and I would like to stay here again.

It is very hard to find anything positive to say about this hotel. The only thing I could say is the location is good and the room was clean.

The hotel is nothing like the website. The room was small. The aircon was not working. The view from our room was terrible. The breakfast was below standard. It was definitely over priced.

The hotel and room were was very unsatisfactory and not worth the cost. When I confirmed the booking, I indicated there would be two people and requested a room with two twin beds. The room was obviously a low standard room and the beds were pushed together and not as I requested. The bathroom sink was dirty; absolutely no toiletries in the room, and if you needed anything, or questions, you had to go down to the ground floor and ask; however, I soon realized it was useless to even bother. There were two lifts in the hotel - both the the size of a phone booth and not air-conditioned. Our room was on the 5th floor and we had no other option but to use the lifts. They were like being in a sauna. The air-conditioning in the room wasn't working properly and that was never sorted. The room was located poorly and I expressed to the staff that it was certainly not what I expected, nor was it advertised appropriately. The staff did nothing to accommodate, and, for the price, I found it amazing there was not the slightest effort by the staff to try and make our stay a bit more pleasant. I would not advise anyone to stay here.

Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good location.

It was the nicest hotel we have stayed in so far in Thessaloniki. It was clean, and up to date. The internet in the room worked great. There was no old smell. It did not show years of abuse. And the breakfast was nice.

The only thing we found that was a problem was the thin walls. We could not hear the outside noise, but when one set of neighbors came in late, we woke up to their talking and laughing. Then when the neighbors on our other side got up early, we woke up again.

Staff friendlyness, quite, excellent location, near everything, very clean.

Room is a comfortable size. It included everything we needed. Breakfast was good, coffiee was excellent.

Staff were not very helpful when questions were asked. Shower was very small. You need the key to have eletricity on, while we liked that idea for being green, only one key made it difficult to have one person in the room and the other to be able to come in without disturbing the person who wants to turn in early.

The hotel met our expectations concerning staff, cleanliness and location.
