Apartment Hotel Athina is a friendly hotel with spacious rooms in the center of one of the most developing cities in northern Greece.
Score from 257 reviews Very good
near the city center, breakfast good
Room was nice and clean, big tv.
Way too noisy, busy street below, a lot of families and thin walls and door. If youre ok with noises, its fine, if you have a light sleep, better not.
friendly staff central location
there is a disco across the port, a bit noisy at night
value for money, you get what you pay for. Staff are very attentive to their customers.
This hotel is not recommendable for noise sensitive people looking for calm sleep
The location is perfect, shops, restaurants and the port are just a few steps away. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are spotless. There is plenty to chose from at breakfast, and the coffee is good :-)
Everything was fine
Wifi Location Cleanliness
AC was not working properly, there was smell coming out when it functioned.
I was traveling with my 82-yo mother to Alexandroupoli. The staff was wonderful with her, which set the tone of the stay. The hotel is very well maintained and has more amenities than one would except in a two-star hotel. Very much recommended.
Wi-fi signal could have been a bit stronger, but overall it was serviceable.
Bang opposite the port for Samothrace. Only 10e.from the airport. Very helpful staff looked after our luggage, no probs. Ask for a free map of Alex. Close to the little Alex has to offer - the icon museum up the cobbled inland taverna street is good for whiling away a few hours. Family in next door apartment were great. They seemed to be delighted to talk to tourists and not be scowled at by seedy business men. We noted an interesting variety of people on the promenade outside with a propensity to wear tall red stilletos.
Breakfasts are bog standard. For a good hotel with a customer satisfaction questionnaire asking about soundproofing ( brilliant externally) noise in the night from the corridor as newly made friends came back to enjoy the comforts of this very accomodating and pleasant hotel.
location and cleanliness
Rooms are nice clean, has refrigirator , safe box. Excelent location on one of the main streets
Dirty and uncomfortable. Thin walls and constant noise day and night. I asked for a double bed, they gave me two separate extremely uncomfortable beds. I politely asked the receptionist if I could check out late and she answered "How many minutes?" in a rude way. Also there is no security in the hotel, anyone can enter in the middle of the night. Stay away!
Location ( right on the main street, but quite far from the noisy bars), Staff quite friendly, wi-fi is free
Breakfast was kind of poor, the isolation of the walls is pretty slim( you can here everything) Other than that the hotel is decent, if you are on a budget and looking for a clean hotel this one is a safe bet.
Very good location, spacious rooms, sea view,
The view from the balcony is wonderful. The hotel has all the necessary facilities.
Air conditioner filters should be replaced or cleaned
Really good value. Room better than a 3 star hotel. Great location and excellent rooms. 1 minute walk from the drop off point of bus from Turkey (Metro).
Bathroom is a bit small.
Fabulous location and a great view. Close to tavernas and very comfortable.
There was nothing to dislike. A comfortable hotel.
The streets right by the hotel have some excellent tavernas. The location was also great for my early morning bus to the airport for a flight to London (via Athens).
Location,cleanliness,staff and value for money.
Bathroom can be better besides it is perfect
Asked for four people accommodation (family with two kids), received a single room with a sofa and additional bed. Upon checking in the staff (or may be owner) not exactly polite, on contrary when checking out (another lady) very polite and helpful.
This service for this price is unbelievable!
Alexandroupoli is not the most picturesque harbour town, but I have a soft spot for this hotel as I stayed there many years ago. I still love the location, with a view of the sea front and some excellent tavern and fish restaurants. Turkish gentlemen drive 50 km just for an evening meal nearby.
They do not accept visa cards although it was informed by booking.com They re cheating as saying that the post machine is not working.
Kindness of the staff Helpfulness of the owner, since my ride was delayed. Wi-fi works perfectly Rooms with a nice sea view Perfect for a little trip to Alexandropouli
