Plaza Vouliagmeni Strand Hotel  

Quiet location close to the 2 Vougliameni beaches. Easy to reach by public transport: tram from Athens Syntagma up to Voula, then bus. Good solution for a short beach stay between ferry and plane/bus.

Extremely high charges for phone calls from hotel rooms (at least 10times more than from a public phone).

Breakfast and the seaside was fantastic.

The price was to high for that room,and for 5 stars hotel.The bed was big but it wasn't so good so I had a neck problem in the day after.It was a similar 30 to 40 euros hotel,but the price is double....So I wouldn't chooseit again.Didn't recommend that the hotel wasn't have parking...really bad.

The hotel is located in Vouliagmeni which is a great residential area in Athens - moreover this hotel is right off a couple of very nice beaches (2 mins walking distance to the first one and a 5 mins walk to a more elegant and expensive beach). The value for money here was good, I paid 85 eur per night off season, which is reasonable given that generally Vouliagmeni is a very expensive area.

Staff in the hotel was kind but somehow careless with following up on simple requests - E.G. the hairdryer in my room wasn't working properly, I've asked one of the hotel reps at the reception to change it, he told me that was not a problem. The next day I noticed the hairdryer was still not repaired or replaced, I've asked the same receptionist to follow this up, he said he would do it (but he did not) - So the following day, I asked a different receptionist to help me resolving this issue, she said this would have been taken care of the next day - obviously nobody followed this up and finally the hairdryer was never replaced. Ultimately, I would not even mind if they could not fix the problem within 3 days, so long they had the courtesy to inform me they couldn't solve the issue and offer me with an alternative - E.g change rooms - but nobody really cared. Disappointing level of service.

They should get rid of the carpet in the rooms and tile the rooms. The carpet does smell.

Good location and friendly, helpful staff. Very good breakfast buffet and outside dining patio. Enjoyed the stay.

spacious room/bathroom, very good restaurant, good breakfast, perfect wifi coverage (4th floor) and fast connection.

hotel decoration and room is bit old fashioned. Hotel is good budget hotel, however situated in very expensive area for further activities. I would not recommend single travelers to go to vouliagmeni.

The breakfast spread was excellent! Good variety of eggs, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, etc. Hotel is also very close to the beach as well.

The air conditioner was a little loud and did not function too well. The beds were also not too comfortable.

THe reception area and rooms can be better decorated and renewed it would surely make a great difference.

Definately not a 4 star hotel. According to the services provided and the condition of the rooms ( they were smelly). Its more like a 3 star hotel

This is really a very nice hotel and the staff were very pleasant and helpful people. It was a great location for a stay in this beach town, except we didn't have a sea view in our room. But we could easily walk to the beach (just a block away) and go to restaurants overlooking the sea. The restaurants in the hotel offer an international menu.

Parking on the streets nearby is a bit inconvenient, but okay.

Staff, especially tonia, were wonderful! Rooms were comfortable, breakfast and the breakfast area were really wonderful.

Some areas/rooms had been remodeled. Our room was great but the hallway carpeting was a bit tired.
