Hotel Rio Athens  

The Hotel Rio was perfect for our needs. We are all avid walkers so didn't mind the 30min hike to the center of Athens. You can take the metro as well as it is just around the corner from the hotel. The hotel staff made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Especially Marco and Litza who were there for our every need. Day trips can be booked through the hotel also. The hotel is older and the rooms a bit small but we managed. Ask for the hair dryer at the front desk. There are lots of great little restaurants in the area. We felt safe walking in the area even at night. We would all recommend the Hotel Rio.

The hotel lobby was pretty and the outside was idealistic.

The manager was a bit coarse and did not have a professional manner, however he was helpful. Our room was dirty and the bathroom had a hole in the ceiling. I also believe that the hotel has some sort of plumbing issue as our room was dank and a bit smelly. I wish they would have put more money into the rooms and less into the facade of the building.

Aucun effort fait pour agrémenter cet hôtel malgré les possibilités. Le hall d'entré est triste sans aucune sorte de décoration, mobilier vieillot, et rien n'est fait pour donner l'envie de rester là. Les chambres,(petites), sont meublées dans un style récupération plus que celui d'un hôtel d'aujourd'hui ( tabouret en plastique blanc fatigué pour poser les affaires dans la douche par exemple). Bruit des voitures suivant les chambres assez prononcé. Si vous y allez, visitez les toilettes de la réception, munis de portes kz en plastique et pour améliorer le tout, elles ne ferment pas !

Petit déjeuner continental à revoir : pas de croissant, pain de mie sec et dur, jus d'orange qui n'en a que le nom

La ubicación en la cuidad, con parada de metro al lado. La amabilidad del personal.

Proximidade do metro, limpeza, atendimento simp'atico da maioria dos funcionarios.

Todos informavam que a localizacao era perigosa para voltar a noite, nao tivemos nenhum problema real, apenas pedintes, mas o clima de tensao foi desagradavel. Fora isso, nada a fazer ou visitar a pe no entorno, so pegando metro. Melhor ficar hospedado na acropole que tem vida noturna, passeios e mais seguranca para voltar para o quarto. Sao 4 euros por dia o passe livre do metro, se o $$$$ compensar, ate vale a pena, senao, va para acropole ou proximidades. O metro e otimo e confiavel.

Airco was stuk waardoor het lekte in de badkamer. Na melding niet gerepareerd.

It is situated at a very quiet area even though it is very near to the Metaxourgeio Metro Station (3min walk).

The plumbing was quite old and needed repair. We would highly recomment a renovation of the hotel in general.

Location, price and elevator to the room

Old staff and yoing staff. The old staff, there were three people in total, were not somfriendly, Especially an old couple staying in the lobby And the old man serving breakfast did not smell so good Breakfast was low average I recommend of you have low expectations because the price is great.
