Patitiri is the island's harbor and the first place you see when arriving at Alonissos. It is the capital and the center of the island. Patitiri means wine-press and the village got its name from the fact that all wine-presses and storage places of Alonissos’ wine used to be in this area.

The sea waters of the Northern Sporades are among the clearest waters in the world, which makes virtually all of Alonissos a safe and satisfying island for swimming. In addition to Patitiri, other beaches are Roussoum, Votsi, Milia, Chrissi Milia, Kokkinokastro, Tzortzi-Gialos, Lefto-Gialos, Agios Dimitrios, Marpounta, Vithisma, Megalos Mourtias, and Mikros Mourtias.

The staff is very nice also. The views and location is one of the best we've experienced in our travels. The services are excellent! Rooms are very clean and comfort with a tough of luxury. The decoration and design of the hotel is unique. Breakfast, with multiple options and unforgettable local flavors were, excellent. The hotel is newly refurbished with good taste and generally offer's a very cozy living environment in the rooms. The lack of parking space. The lack of view due to the tall trees in front of the balcony. Upper rooms should be much better in this respect. The unessecary high prices of optional breakfast and mini-bar items. Molto vicino al porto, 5 minuti a piedi. Zona tranquillissima. Camere un pò piccoline. Ho fatto due docce fredde perchè non c'era l'acqua calda. Mi sono state addebitate spese da minibar che non ho mai consumato nonostante avessi espressamente detto di non averne usufruito.
