Sheraton Rhodes Resort  

The setting of the Sheraton was fantaic - sitting high so most of the rooms had sea views with balconies. The outside sitting areas were fantatic with lots of seating and lovely big sofa chairs. The grounds were excellent and well kept. We liked the underpass to the private beach and the loungers by the seafront. Our room was fantastic with two sofas, loads of space and felt very luxurious. The Asian Restaurant had a fantastic view.

Lack of a snack bar - we did not want to sit down formally at lunch time having had a large breakfast and evening meal. The lifts - not adequate for the number of people staying there. Unfortunately our room was on floor 5 at one end of the hotel - our children were floor 10 on the other side of the hotel - it required 2 lifts to get to each other plus a massive walk.

Excellent service from bar/restaurant staff, particularly Dita in the lounge bar who was a credit to the hotel. Also location and quality of Mediterranean restaurant & pool bar. Also outdoor breakfast on the days not limited by rainy weather.

1) Lack of "warmth" in terms of plants outside entrance, inside reception and in corridors near lift entrances etc. 2) Priority put on business conference guests allowing them to completely "take over" areas which should have been for real guests, including reserved seating that was never used. Poor planning ruined the Greek night for the dancers & real guests & although the bar staff seemed to cope well under pressure, the manager in charge seemed under stress, not really under any control, & his rudeness to his staff was quite apparent. 3) Poor layout of the lounge bar meant that good entertainment was wasted. Only 16 comfortable seats with tables meant only 16 watching guests one night - the rest preferred to sit outside. A shame for the excellent acts because with proper management, 40-50 guests could have enjoyed them inside. Lower the percived ceiling height too by adding some large hanging objects, wacky lights etc. Its an aweful stark room to spend a whole evening in. Altogether wrong for entertainment!.

Convenient location, bus stop right at the hotel, you can reach Rhodes town center with a direct bus. (This was a very important point since the taxis were on strike and rental cars were not easily available due to the situation) Good breakfast. You don't feel that the beach is on the other side of the road as there is a passageway connecting the hotel to the beach.

хороший удобный номер. балкон также большой и удобный. хорошая кухня. большая ухоженная территория. много интересных ресторанов (но цены в них высоки) лежаков достаточно и возле бассейна и возле моря в любое время даже при заполненном отеле. пляжные полотенца не нужно носить из номера. можно брать возле бассейна и не нужно уносить в номер. (очень удобно) обстановка внутри отеля и территории вполне соответствует 5*

месторасположение крайне неудачное. с моря дует постоянный сильный ветер. это хорошо для виндсёрфинга но на пляже не комфортно. вход в море затруднён тем что в полосе прибоя довольно крупные булыжники. хотя над пляжем стоит синий флаг из-за ветра вода в море постоянно замутнена. между отелем и морем проходит очень оживлённая трасса, от которой постоянный непрерывный шум в любое время дня.(особо достают мотоциклы проезжающие без глушителей) над отелем пролетают самолёты и вертолёты.(если самолёты можно терпеть, то от вертолётов ужасный грохот но правда вертолёты летают реже). очень мало шансов получить номер с приличным видом из окна. вид на горы приемлемый только 11-12 этажах ниже вы будете просто в яме. вид на море это в любом случае прежде всего вид на шумную трассу и как правило на дорогу или парковку. хотя в отеле предлагается пляжный волейбол игра организуется на бетонной площадке. неудобно и травмо опасно. в отеле просто ужасная вода в кранах и душах по всей территории (воняет хлоркой). невозможно почистить зубы так как в рот набирать её нельзя. в то же время в магазине отеля не продаётся питьевая вода.

Приветливый персонал, чисто, просторно, удобные лежаки на бассейне, приличная еда. 15 минут на такси от аэропорта, столько же до города.

В семейном номере на раскладном диване спать жестко.

Servicen og maten var veldig bra, og stedet med dets faciliteter gir en følelse av luksus.

- Les jardins et l'équipement des piscines - le design de la décoration des chambres et leur aspect spatieux - la variété des mets et leur qualité au petit déjeuner

- L'insonorisation des chambres (une porte de communication gêne la qualité du silence) - l'attente au petit-déjeuner pour les lève-tard...

Hotel heeft een mooi uitzicht over zee, mooie zwembaden, goed aziatisch restaurant. Met de taxi ben je in 5 a 10 min in Rhodos stad.

Personeel bij de receptie was het enige minpunt. Je verwacht een hoger service niveau in een Sheraton. Overige personeel was overigens zeer vriendelijk!!!!

Excellent emplacement, belle vue sur la mer et la baie d'Ixia. Personnel agréable malgré l'affluence, restaurants très bien mais chers. Parking gratuit très pratique. Chambres spacieuses.

Difficile accès à la mer car plage de galets et cailloux. Pas de WiFi en accès gratuit à ce niveau de standing, c'est anormal. Beaucoup de monde : serviettes de plage et transats pris d'assaut dès le matin.

Le personnel est très aimable. L'hôtel est très spacieux. Très bonne situation près de Rhodes-ville facilement accessible par bus ou par taxi. Très belle terrasse au 6ème étage. Les chambres sont très bien insonorisées. Petit déjeuner varié.

Animateurs pour ados pas très "enthousiastes"

Mycket avkopplande miljö och samtidigt väldigt välorganiserat. Bra frukost med massor av alternativ. Bra aktiviteter uner dagen med många sporter att välja bland. Ett toppmodernt gym, två fina squashbanor samt en mycket bra tennisbana - gratis att använda för hotellgäster.
