Ionas Hotel  

We had no idea exactly how gorgeous Ionas Hotel was going to be until we turned the corner of this picturesque street filled with bright flowers and amazingly restored buildings. The hotel building has been restored impeccably and our room was huge (especially by European standards) and beautifully furnished with a large bed, desk/dressing table, small table with 2 chairs, sofa and amble storage space. The bathroom had a spa bath/shower and again was finished beautifully. The hotel owner is unbelievably kind and helpful and treated us as family throughout the stay. The location could not be more perfect. With 2 amazing restaurants within 5 steps of the front door, the harbour within 5-8 minutes walk. Central and yet tucked away from the tourist traps of Hania giving you a more authentic Cretan stay. The internet was great, the room price is amazing for the quality and the staff are amazing. Could not recommend it more :-)

The hotel is conveniently situated in the old town, few steps from the marina and the restaurants aria, but in a very quiet street, which is a big advantage. Especially exciting for people who are interested in history is that the house was built in the Venetian times, rebuilt during the Turkish ruling and the renovation in the recent years was carefully held in order to keep the beauty of the old building. The owners offered grate hospitality. We can highly recommend this hotel!

The location is great. It is close to the bus depot, harbor, shops, and restaurants. Plus, a walkable distance to the beach.

Our room was rather small. Everything was nice, but a little small.

Utmärkt läge i den gamla stadsdelen. Tyst och lugnt och bra standard. Nära till Hamnen. Bra parkeringsmöjligheter i närheten.

Lite svårt att hitta med GPS-navigering. Närmaste navigerbara gata borde anges.

Lo stile dell'albergo è molto bello e tutto è nuovo

Non c'è quasi mai nessuno dello staff in albergo, se hai bisogno si deve telefonare. Le camere ed il prezzo sono solo per camera doppia, e sono abbastanza piccole. La colazione viene servita a partire dalle 8

Très calme en plein centre ville Très beaux meubles, rampes, fenêtres récents en bois doré Air conditionné,jacuzzi,serrures électroniques modernes et très fonctionnels Terrasse abritée très, très agréable

Personnel très sympatique, très bonne situation (bien que difficile à trouver), très calme malgré la grande proximité du port et de la vieille ville, chouette décoration des chambres. Propreté impeccable. Nous voyagions avec un bébé et le personnel a été adorable avec elle.

Climatisation bruyante. Difficulté à trouver l'hôtel à l'arrivée (il est situé à l'angle de la rue sorvolou et de la rue kallinikou sarpaki, mais notre chauffeur de taxi ne nous a pas du tout conduit au bon endroit car la kallinikou sarpaki est en plusieurs tronçons et piétonnière).

υπέροχη τοποθεσία μέσα στην παλιά πόλη, ήσυχη, ρομαντική, πολύ κοντά στο ενετικό λιμάνι και στα αξιοθέατα της παλιάς πόλης των χανίων. πολύ ενημερωμένο, φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό. το συστήνουμε ανεπιφύλακτα σε όποιον θέλει να "μεταφερθεί" με τον καλύτερο τρόπο σε μιάν άλλη εποχή με σύχρονες ανέσεις.

Très bien situé dans la vieille ville de La Canée - Accueil très chaleureux. Chambre impeccable. Petit déjeuner très correct (un vrai jus d'orange serait appréciable).

Attention aux arrivées de l'après-midi, la présence d'une personne n'y est pas continuelle.
