Housed in a traditional, renovated building, the family-run Nafplion 1841 is in Nafplio Town, 30 metres from Syntagma Square.
Score from 5 reviews Exceptional
Right in Nafplion’s Old Town, Amymone and Adiandi’s uniquely decorated rooms provide free Wi-Fi. They are located in the classical part of the city, behind the church of Saint Nickolas.
Score from 324 reviews Wonderful
On the outskirts of historic Nafplio, this neo-classical building has luxurious rooms with balconies overlooking Palamidi, the sea or hotel’s lush gardens.
Score from 607 reviews Very good
Located in Náfplion, the Deves Hotel is 1500 ft from the Argolic Gulf. It has a bar with a terrace, and offers air conditioned guest rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 106 reviews Very good
Breakfast surprised us with unusual touches. It was all served. We sat on tasteful, comfortable furniture. The orange was 100% Argos orange. The varied breads were an additional benison. The room was up a few stairs, but what beautiful stairs! The view out the back was a pretty little church. The location was quiet. 50 yards off a really drivable street - but once found, parking was not hard to find. Host polite and helpful. We had an extra room for luggage and primping. Bathroom modern. Unaffected, but tasteful decor. We really enjoyed this place.
Can't think of anything - apart from the very trivial matter of the toilet roll holder whose angle needed adjustment.
The apartment had everything we needed and more, easy access to all sites and restaurants.
The stair case going upstairs was challenging,
great location with a view of the castle and a private balcony
bed was very hard and uncomfortable
We loved the charming balcony, sunny all day. The room was spacious and cool.
We'd have liked to be given a menu for breakfast, and to be offered some fruit. We were served with food we did not want (ie processed ham/cheese in toast sandwich).
- location - coziness - breakfast -
- staff who doesn't speak English - attic room
- The staff - The location - The quality of the room
- I mistake was made with my reservation and I was given a double bed instead of a twin bed which resulted in different complication, but the staff was so friendly that it made up for it. Those things can happen.
Location Cleanliness Quietness
The attic room at the price. Can't comment on the decor. Our room was plain. Breakfast ok but no options at all.
Poor Breakfast, Parking issues
1) Room was pleasant, loved the balcony. 2) Repairs were done quickly, i.e. over-sink bathroom lights were replaced and TV was repaired. 3) The five staff that we dealt with were all very pleasant and attentive to us. 4) The free Wi-Fi.
1) Parking: information said parking was available nearby, in fact it was at least 6-8 blocks over, in the public pier. 2) The Pension's location was extremely difficult to find when we arrived in Nafplio. 3) There was no flexibility in the booking. We booked over the internet, not knowing the city, and the area; when we got there, we found that Nafplio, as a town was far and isolated from the other regions of the Pelopenese that we wanted to visit. They wouldn't let us cancel out of 1-2 nights (we stayed for 10), so that we could modify our plans and stay/visit other places without having to drive 2-5 hrs/day. I've never travelled anywhere that I couldn't change my hotel days as things happened and the trip changed. They did, however, cancel the fee for the first night when my friend's plane came a day later than anticipated. 3) We had asked for twin beds and got a double. 4) Breakfast was exactly the same every day we were there, except for one. 5) Crying child in room beside us. 6) Bathroom was a little old, no shower door.
the location is moments' walk from everything you want to see and do in Nafplio, but also quiet and tranquil. Comfy beds, beautifully clean, good breakfast.
If booking more than one room, be sure to stipulate that you want them together. We ended up with our teenagers in the next-door building, with a separate entrance from the street, which resulted in a certain amount of inconvenience over luggage, toothpaste and setting rendezvous times. The rather offhand staff neither tried to change things, nor apologise.
Staff was welcoming and very helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Location was very handy and we were able to find free parking nearby. We would definitely stay here if we returned, and would recommend Isioni to other travellers!
There was an incredibly rude lady , who accused us of breaking a keyjolder in the room, which was broken already, charging us 30 Euro, and then forgot to give my Passport back. Which had to be send on my cost by courier. This was a real pain, and overshadowed the rest
Décor Location Breakfast
Some staff spoke very limited English
The hotel is recently refurbished and on very good condition. It's int the centre of the town and given that the city is small you can go practically everywhere. The breakfast is good quality even though is served and the quantities are relatively limited.
The owner/manager (not sure) had a very weird attitude with regards to payment. Even though the booking was saying that the money would be charged immediately to the card this didn't happen. Additionally, when I went to pay she insisted that the booking was to be paid in cash per the terms and conditions (!) of it. After a relatively unpleasant discussion she ended up accepting my payment with card. Additionally the problem was that my id was kept for the whole time (as per policy) which is something I haven't come across on other hotels anywhere in the world. Finally even though the booking was for a twin room we were given a double which even though not ideal it worked.
Location right in the heart of things. Everything was high end, great comfort.
We liked it all! Excellent B&B.
Wi-fi and AC worked very well. Breakfast was very good for being free: fresh squeezed orange juice, greek yogurt, grilled cheese. The single room here is the best value for money I've ever gotten.
The receptionist didn't really speak any English BUT she was incredibly nice and helpful and would persevere until she got your meaning.
our friends room was a converted attic. Extremely small barley had enough room for two suit cases. For them to turn around in the room the suit cases had to be placed out side the room.
perfect location and hospitality
Our balcony was a spacious & immaculate, the décor was lovely, location was brilliant & the breakfast was excellent. The staff were attentive & friendly.
Nothing at all really!
we had the room with the balcony and the view was amazing. The size and comfort of the balcony was worth the extra price !
the person who was there during our stay did not speak english or very, very little.
Charming building and decor, spacious room and bathroom, great location, helpful staff, comfortable bed.
No parking (we got lucky and squeezed onto the street across from the hotel, but almost lost the side view mirror!). Clerk did not speak English, which was frustrating.
A very nice Pension in the old town area of Nafplio. Very convenient location to the port area, restaurants, shopping, etc. The innkeeper was very responsive to our needs; we had to leave relatively early the day of departure and she arranged for us to have breakfast prior to their normal time. The bathroom was very clean which is very important to us. The bed was comfortable. A strong value for money and recommended.
Nothing, all was good.
Lovely quiet handy location. Friendly hosts Good breakfast We will be back
Clean and quiet.
Very difficult parking area, not accepting Visa.
