Istron Bay Hotel    

It's an older resort. It was very clean had activities the hotel was beautiful situated beachfront with well maintained grounds. We enjoyed ourselves

The location was perfect, right next to the beach with a beautiful view. The people were very friendly. The room was clean and nice.

Our superior double bedroom was adequate - needs updating. Views were lovely. Breakfast was very disappointing - scrambled egg was disgusting and rest of cooked was just edible.

the location and the private beach is unrivaled for a family holiday. The room is very nice, bath room is very good, towels are plenty which is very important while we took bath more than once a day. The swimming pool is beautiful just the right size for adults and children. it is a dream hotel for a holiday with kids and family.

staffs are not up to the hotel standard espescially in the reception. we must have the feeling they don't know how to smile or even to be friendly to guests. they give us the feeling that we are foreigners in the hotel and we weren't welcome though we pay for their living.

Nous avions choisi cet hotel pour la vue admirable sur le golfe de mirabello et nous avons été comblés. la situation de l'hotel au bord de mer , sa piscine d'eau de mer au milieu d'un superbe jardin , son calme, le fait que l'hotel soit excentré par rapport aux villes trop envahies par les touristes nous a plu énormement .Nous avons apprécié l'authenticité de la taverne ZYGOS à l'accueil chaleureux et sa cuisine crétoise excellente . Elle est située à l'entrée d'ISTRO et nous y avons pris tous nos repas le soir

Rien du tout le chef des reservations est incompetent et ne respecte pas ses clients.

La chambre reservée par votre site devait etre une chambre type suite. La photo de votre site ne reflete en rien celle que nous avons eu. Le prix pour la qualité de la chambre est purement scandaleux!!!! Cet hotel correspond a un trois étoiles pas plus.

Ist ein älteres Hotel,aber es wird schnell zur Nebensache.Ausserdem der mediterane Stil lässt es doch sehr leger erscheinen.

Les lits et le petit déjeuner.

Ottimo Hotel!! La posizione è fantastica e I servizi sono di prima classe. La gentilezza di tutto il personale è veramente squisita ed è raro, oggi come oggi. Consigliato a tutti!!

La situation au bord de la baie : vue magnifique, accès direct à la plage sans route. Le petit déjeuner : très complet avec vue panoramique sur la baie Le personnel : souriant et serviable La mise à disposition de serviettes de plage dans la chambre Plage privée, piscine et espaces verts agréables et bien entretenus

Chambre : rideaux, mobilier et luminaires auraient besoin d'un coup de jeune et quelques éléments de décoration modernes seraient bienvenus (les murs sont entièrement vides) / Climatisation un peu insuffisante (ancienne aussi sans doute) / Très peu de pression dans la douche / Absence de mise à disposition de nouveaux gels douche (il fallait les réclamer) Un rajeunissement et une nouvelle décoration de tout l'hôtel seraient nécessaires.

L'environnement de l'hôtel est exceptionnel, au fond d'une belle baie privée, entouré de jardins et à l'écart de la route. Le restaurant en bordure de la plage permet de diner dans un cadre magnifique. L'offre promotionnelle offerte en fin de saison permet un très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Les chambres et les studios ont tous de belles terrasses avec vues sur la baie. Malheureusement, elles n'offrent aucune intimité avec les terrasses des chambres du dessus ou d'à côté. La qualité médiocre du jus d'orange n'est pas à la hauteur du reste du petit déjeuner, par ailleurs varié.

A magnificent setting, with terraces overlooking the sea and a beautiful private cove made this hotel special, it was exactly what I had hoped for. I was welcomed by a very nice member of staff at reception , a bottle of wine, fresh fruit and homemade biscuits in my room was a very nice touch after a long journey and the views from my balcony were magical. It a spacious peacefully quiet hotel with beautiful grounds, gardens with date palms and flowers,a huge salt water swimming pool . The breakfast was served in the dining room that has panoramic views, despite negative reviews I thought breakfast to be very good apart from the beverages- fresh juice and coffee would have been nice. There was a good variety of breads meats cheeses beautiful home made crackers, cereals and a cooked breakfast, all very good. Actually I am surprised at the negative comments, this is one of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in, there are some dated items such as an old style dial up telephone and a few old style furnishings in the room but this, as I am sure the owners understand, adds to the charm. The bathroom was lovely, plenty of hot water and the room, like the whole hotel, was spotlessly clean. Beds comfortable, air conditioning all adding to the comfort. Great hotel.. I will definitely return.

The balcony had magnificent views but there was no shade and the chairs were to too low for you to see out to the sea . Apparently you need to book a superior room if you want shade, I have never come across this before and as I am unable to stay in the sun it meant I could not use the balcony during the day. this was a big negative for me.

The situation and views. The beach. The spacious room and terrace. Near enough to walk into Istron on a good path off the road, and a bus ride away from Agias Nicholais, the nearest town. Very efficient internet communication before we went (they arranged a taxi transfer) and they booked us in online before we left. Reception staff were very helpful.

It's a long way from Heraklion airport. As we didn't hire a car this meant an expensive taxi ride or relying on buses, as it's at least an hour's drive - more by bus.

Het uitzicht vanuit de kamer op de baai is adembenemend? De receptie is echter zeer zakelijk, en het avondeten was ronduit slecht. Het ontbijtbuffet was zeer goed. Ga erheen voor de locatie , maar eet s'avonds ergens anders

The view of Istron Bay is glorious and the private cove with the nice beach.

It is tired looking, needs an overhaul. Staff were mainly good except Reception staff who seem to be on another planet !! Breakfast is always the same and hence boring, the orange juice has never been introduced to a fruit.Food in general is not good and so we ate out most nights. We felt the pool needed cleaning and so went only once. It's rating as a 5 star hotel is very questionable, I would give it 3. Despite all this because of the little beach and it's proximity to Ag Nicholaos we would probably stay again, at the right price.

Although thehotel advertised three restaurants, one restaurant only opened for breakfast, the other only for dinner. However the quality of the food was good as was their limited than advertised wine list.

The first hotel room had no hot water for 3 days, a problem that the staff were aware of prior to allocating us the room. Having booked a junior suite I was moved to a sub-standard apartment which had already been closed up for the season. The restaurants were virtually shut, the watersport facilities closed and the staff were abrupt.

Emplacement très calme, idéal face à la mer. Grande surface de la chambre + terrasse et bon équipement de la junior Suite. Petit déjeuner très copieux.

L'eau de la mer n'était pas toujours très claire car la plage de cette crique située au nord de l'ile est souvent balayée par le vent qui ramène des détritus (sacs plastiques). Même si le personnel essayait de nettoyer plusieurs fois par jour, cela apportait un certain désagrément.

Proximité de la plage Valousma. Son parc végétal est agréable. Hotel très (trop) calme.

Le rapport qualité/prix est loin d'être cela. J'avais vu des commentaires en ce sens, et je confirme donc. Ce n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 5*, mais je m'y attendais, une junior suite à 115€, ce ne peut être d'un niveau 5*. L'hôtel est vieillissant, pas de produits de bains.

η τοποθεσια που ειναι το ξενοδοχειο.....η θεα που εχει και οι γυναικες που καθαριζουν τα δωματια που ητανε με το χαμογελο...

δεν μου αρεσε ο τροπος που μας αντιμετωπισε ο ρεσεψιονιστ οταν πηγαμε να πληρωσουμε.....δεν παιρναγε η καρτα γιατι πολυ πιθανον επειδη πληκτρολογει ο ιδιος τον αριθμο να ξεχασε καποιον και δεν την δεχοταν...του ειπε η γυναικα μου οτι δεν μπορει γιατι ειναι αδεια μηπως εχει καποιο προβλημα το μηχανημα και εκενος εδωσε την απαντηση...προηγουμενος πληρωσε καποιος με καρτα και δεν δημιουργηθηκε προβλημα...θελετε να ξαναπροσπαθησουμε???και φυσικα μετα η καρτα περασε.........θεωρω οτι και κλεφτης να ειναι ο πελατης πρεπει αμη τι αλλο να τον χειρειστης πιο κοσμιο αναλογα με το πρεστιζ του ξενοδοχειου που διαθετει.......
