The Kastro Hotel is a small oasis. It is a professionally run, business hotel with quiet rooms and a helpful staff. They accomodated our needs and we would recommend this hotel to others. It is also a short walk to the pedestrian streets of Heraklion and many nice restaurants. Like most of Heraklion, the hotel is in a crowded neighborhood with little on-street parking. There is pay parking next door. |

Central location,efficient, modern, good air conditioning,good breakfast, staff are very pleasant and helpful. This is the third time we have used this hotel for an overnight stop. Parking is a problem although there are a couple of privately run car parks where you must leave the car keys for them to move the cars round. Not ideal. |

Location was good. Air conditioning was good. Internet for free. Bed was not very clean. The smell in the room was bad. |

Room was very well designed and clean. Chic decor, lots of different lighting, rain shower and hand held shower. Very good breakfast, better than any other Greek hotel we stayed at (none have real orange juice so this seems irrelevant!) Good location, just a street over from El Greco Park. At the higher end of our budget, but well worth it, and would recommend! Not much, wish we could have stayed longer! The only thing maybe that the hotel website says it is 500m from the port, but this must be from the small harbour. It is much further from the port where the ferries come in, though still walkable if you are light on luggage. |

The hotel is very close to the city centre. The personel is friendly and speaks english quite well. The airco didn't work, so it was really hot in the room. Also a lot of noise by the neigbours. |

I like the washing roon(bath room) very much! Although no bathtub, but it is big enough for single person and the shower is good! Please put one bottle of water in the room. And hotel on the map on website is not accurate, I spent some time to find it. |

It was convenient to most of the sites and to the restaurant and retail stores. It was difficult to find because the streets are named differently on the maps. The street signs have two ways of spelling, but neither is on the map. We stopped at a coffee shop to ask where the hotel was and they hadn't heard of it. We gave them the map and where the street was and they couldn't even pick out where THEY were. We finally hired a taxi driver and we followed him. |

Helpfulness of the staff, quiet room, good buffet breakfast Would be nice to have real orange juice at breakfast, and a machine for hot drinks at any time (or kettle in room?) - but staff were very helpful in providing hot water. |

We arrived in the middle of the night and we were given our keys instantly and efficiently and were able to get to sleep straight away. The next day we were able to book a taxi through the hotel to Xania (1hour thirty minutes away) and the taxi came within minutes of our request. We were very impressed with this level of eficiency. Everything was fine. Nice, friendly helpful staff. No complaints at all. Very happy to recommend |
