Kimon Athens Hotel  

The staff were fantastic in helping us sort out our onward travel arrangements - responding quickly and positively to emails before we arrived and making phone calls when we were there. The location within easy walking distance from Syntagma Metro station makes it easy to get to and from, and it is close to the centre of Athens for sightseeing and shopping. We will go back again.

There is really nothing we didn't like, but be aware that there is no lift so if you have restricted movement then getting up to your room may be an issue. The staff carried our bags to the room, so that was not a problem.

No sound insulation in the room whatsoever, bathroom is very small, but you get what you are paying for I think

Location is perfect, close to the Acropolis and all the sites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace is really nice. The room was equipped with all the necessary facilities, they cleaned it every day.

The room was small but very nice! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially the girl when we checked in. The position it's good also if it's a secondary street.

Third floor without elevator... But not a great problem after all.

From the hotel, you can enjoy a nice view of the Akropolis, which has a fantastic illumination during night. The staff was very nice and helpful in all topics. They know the near locations to eat and sights. The hotel is central so you can easily reach many interesting places by foot.

Gregory (front counter) and Maria (breakfast) made my stay memorable; they were the epitome of the generosity of spirit and fun of the Greek people.

Bathroom a bit small / layout

things are tidy and cleaning. there is a public computer in the left side of the entrance. just take a x95 from airport to the final station, and kimon is just near there! so close to the view points!

wifi is not stable. the bed is not soft enough. i hate stairs!!

The room was a little bit small and we could not have the door overlooking the balcony wide open and had to turn on the air conditioner at night which would've been unnecesary otherwise!

breakfast choice was quite limited and food very basic but was filling and low cost.

Clean, nice rooms, excellent location near the metro, Acropolis and Plaka. Bus line X95 to the airport from the nearby square runs 24 hours a day for 5 euro.

Great Location, 5 mins walk to Syntagma Square and 10 mins walk to Acropoli entrance

Expellant location, quiet haven: in the middle of animated noisy Plaka, the street is calm, beds are very comfortable, sanitary are new, clean and modern, view from the top terrace is beautiful. Just keep in mind: no lift, you have to bring your luggage up straits yourself. So – not suited for people with disabilities.

For the price in central Athens there was nothing that we would complain about. However be aware of some of the hotel's limitations: No lift (not a major problem for us, but would be for people with mobility problems or a lot of luggage). Bathroom very small (again, not a major problem, the basin was tiny and the shower recess very narrow - so nearly always touching the shower curtain while showering, no useable hooks). Safe not operational (and not secured to anything). View of the Acropolis was very limited.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kimon Athens Hotel! The rooms were lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location was amazing.

Kimon is rather friendly hotel in the city center. Attractive location.

Should be paid more attention for repair water systems and replace TV sets. Unfortunately due to the limited space hotel has no public areas.

Very nice room, not big, but ok. Amazing veiw on Acropolis from the public balcony. Useful bathroom, though the show cabin is rather small. Small private balcony with no veiw.

There were problems with airconditioning, it didn't operate perfectly, so I had difficulties with sleep.

Great location, everything you need from a room because you spend most of your day out exploring Athens. Clean, basic, good value. Up on the terrace there is a lovely view of the lit up Acropolis which is the most special thing.

Shower was a bit dodgy and the room was one of the tinier ones but we wer only there 2 days so this didnt bother us- still a large wardrobe space.

Location, staff, quiet comfortable room. Staff were friendly, informative and very helpful. Location of this hotel in the Plaka district is ideal - close to Monisteraki shopping, restaurants, a 15 min. walk to the Parliament and Changing of the Guard, Metro accessible even with luggage. Hotel rooftop terrace looked up to the stunning Acropolis (a 10 min. walk away) and was a wonderful sunny venue to eat the excellent Continental breakfast. Bedroom spacious, quiet, comfortable, newish bathroom and shower, all spotlessly clean. Price for this hotel in this excellent location was amazing.

No elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor - we are fairly fit so it wasn't serious, but anyone with knee or hip difficulties might have a problem.
