On the ground floor, the T Palace is an all day lounge bar and restaurant, making it the ideal place for a rendezvous, after-work drink or dinner party. Enjoy good food and drinks while listening to music played by DJs. T Palace is open daily from 09:00 to 02:00.
The palace was originally built to serve as an annex to the palace, which occupied the building that housed Greece’s Parliament on the square’s eastern flank. Later, it served briefly as the prime minister’s residence before being acquired by a Greek businessman who added several floors and converted it into a hotel. One of its first guests was King George II, who made it his haunt. In the 50s, 60s and 70s, it was also the favourite hotel of international celebrities, magnates, world leaders and movie stars. These included Aristotle Onassis and Maria Kallas, Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco, Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Frank Sinatra and Francois Mitterand.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Athens, opposite Constitution Square. The mix of decor - classical and modern - was interesting. No tea or coffee in the room - EUR12 to have a pot of coffee delivered! Room was very dusty, carpets very dirty, bathroom light made a constant buzzing sound, very noisy - you can hear people walking through the hall - worse if they are talking. On top of this, the nightclub downstairs had music blaring until 7am - our bedside table was vibrating! We asked to be put into an "Acropolis view" room and were told this would be fine - we were shifted to a lower class room (no shower head or basin in the bathroom) with a view of the Square but no Acropolis .. we went straight back to our other room. Very expensive restaurants, waiter was chewing gum when he served us - shocking for a "luxury hotel". |

it was accross the main street where concerts were there... the place was busy but close to everywhere... ATTICA store (which is like harvey nickolas) was just behind the hotel... all famous brands are just behind (2 mins walking) + many resturants are there and even mcdolands is just accross the street where next to mcdonalds are a very nice platz full of shops + coffeee shops... Moreover, opposite mcdonalds you will see a little train which can take you for 30 min tours to see all athens and it comes every 30 min... not to forget metro station opposite the hotel... + Grocery (like little kushks) opposite the hotel.... if you stay here your feets would do & you wont need any transportation :) not to forget that it was luxury + Brekfast waw nothing ... but you should consider that this place is in city centre as they say (a place that does not sleep) which i love about it .... |

Very clean, location. They put 2 twin beds together to make a king bed, which was kind of uncomfortable, one of us kept falling through the crack. They tired to fix it by making the bed with a king fitter sheet and by adding a blanket under the sheet, but it was still uncomfortable. |

The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The complimentary bottle of wine was thoughtful and we drank it at dinner in the restaurant which was superb. The thoughtfulness in preparing our room before we went to bed. Nothing- it was a fantastic experience |

The location. I choose this over gb cos the guidebook said King George is more like a boutique hotel (which I like) while gb have over 300 rooms so I thought checking out will take a longer time. The lobby was stacked with luggages (makes the hotel seems more like the type of hotel for group tours) and it looks very very plain. I was quite disappointed when I stepped into the lobby. It does not look like or befit a "luxury hotel". (That will be the ones next to yr establishment) |

Provided adjoining upgraded rooms for my family with older children. Great service. Excellent central Athens location. Rooms/beds were exceptionally comfortable and appreciated after long international flight. Breakfast was not included and was very expensive at the hotel. |

The services we received from the concierge during our stay who help us locate a person in Athens,and made several attempts to get in touch with him. The concierge made several good recommendations to help us tour certain suburbs of the city that we wished to visit, and restaurants where we had good experiences. Due to an early return flight on the day of our departure we left a wake up call for 4:30 AM. At 5:15 AM my wife woke up to use the bathroom when she realized that we had less than thirty minutes to get ready to meet the taxi we had ordered for our transport to the airport. We were not awakened as we requested. Needless to say that the situation created a great deal of anxiety. |

This is a great hotel in the center of Athens close to the shopping districts, the theaters and the metro station. We have booked a standard room and we were upgraded to a deluxe room with view to the Syntagma square. Very nice decorated, clean and comfortable with a large marble bathroom. The breakfast on the 7th floor at Tudor Hall was a marvelous experience. The staff was helpful and very kind. Although, I have to mention the strange attitude of a reception staff member: when we asked for a coffee just before the end of the breakfast time, he said that the breakfast is over and it was not possible to have anything. And it was Sunday morning… In general it was fantastic but these details on such hotels are important. |
