King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel    

First rate hotel .Very friendly staff and excellent service .Great location in the center of Athens with the main aeras to visit within a walking distance .Our room was superb with a breathtaking view on the Acropolis .Excellent breakfast buffet with a good choice of food and drinks and effective service .

Bar was closed during winter time .Sometime during the day, we could hear the noise of the place Syntagma with music players but it was not really distrubing since the room had double windows and it stopped at the of the day hence the evenings and nights were very quiet .

Stayed a couple of times in this hotel. Last time I booked the suite. Upon check-in I was upgraded with a view (although im quite sure all suites have a nice view as there the biggest most expensive rooms). The bathroom was very very beautiful, all marble, beautiful appliances, all marble, nice lighting, very nice Mugler cosmetics. The room was quite spacious, very beautiful chandelier, nice soft dim lighting, mirrors around the bed(witch makes everything quite sexy). The location of the hotel its very convenient, the best, in the heart of Athens. The trick is that if there is a strike all the square gets closed down and you cant find a taxi, you can just walk. Rooms service its quite nice, i ordered a champagne and received a complimentary plate with salmon appetizers.

The furniture its quite old, stained or scratched though, looks a bit tiered but still classy. I was disappointing in the mini bar, it was quite empty, nothing to eat, no chips, almonds etc. Although its not such a big problem as you can find around the hotel plenty of places to eat and mini markets. Overall a nice elegant hotel, good standards, they could just drop the price a little bit or make some smart offers.

Old, It is necessary to do the renovation.

Decor of rooms, style

Tv only had cnn not even bbcw. Staying in many hotels in Europe I expected some more English language channels as others have. There were no pay channels to watch movies either. For a 4/5 star hotel the in- room media facilities need looking at as I felt they were basic.

Elegant small hotel that is centrally located with incredible view of Actopolis from breakfast dining room

It is a very nice hotel in the heart of the city, very elegant and beautiful! The staff kindely upgraded our room two levels up and we were very happy to have a wonderful room with the spacious marble bathroom (which had both bathtub and shower cabin) and the view of Syntagma square! It was also very nice of them to greet us with the bottle of Greek wine. We are very thankful to the hotel and its staff! The Spa center is nice and clean, the lady at the spa reception was very helpful, knowledgeable and simply gorgeous! Valueable, professional treatments at Spa. The butlers were very friendly and handsome! Beautiful restaurant upstairs with the amazing view of Acropolis + add best breakfast in the whole Europe, with champagne and freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice. Feels like a fairytale!

The only thing I can think of is desirable cup of hot tea instead of suggested cold water or iced tea after the treatments at Spa - that is something they could implement. Anyway the absence of hot tea (as a usual ritual at a number of different spa centers all over the world) didn't spoil the impression of the spa.

Location & Staff

The location is perfect, close to historic monuments and within a few minutes walk from the main shopping areas of the city. The interior decoration is one of a kind with antique Louis XV furniture, gold wall carvings and crystal chandeliers. The breakfast ballroom on the 7th floor has amazing views and the breakfast is yummy! The staff is very polite and helpful. We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we're in Athens.

The elegant rooms with old charm and beautiful interiour. The luxuous bathroom. The absolute fantastic breakfast and the wiew over Acropolis. The central location.

The bar was not as elegant as we expected and the drinks was not so good either.

Superb location, friendly & attentive staff, spacious & well equipped rooms and excellent breakfast with stunning views. Grand, but more human scale and less snooty than the Grande Bretagne next door.

I thought breakfast was over-serviced by staff constantly attending to you and the table and the buffet was very spread out and not in one place. This is the only criticism I can think of, I know that some people may not share the same view as me , its a matter of personality.

Fabulous location - great breakfast and setting...overlooking the Acropolis. Huge and delicious selection and a most charming staff. The concierge and desk clerk were helpful and delightful and knowledgeable. We could walk to every site with ease and were welcomed back when we returned.

The rooms were furnished beautifully, but there was not much light. We had been 'upgraded' to a deluxe room, which had a separate sitting room. The bedroom was between the sitting area and the bathroom (which was large and lovely) but felt narrow, dark and cramped. You couldn't access one of the two small closets because the bedside table prevented the door from opening! But it was a very luxurious room with great sheets!

Only Location is Wonderfull. Other care not so good , not so bad. But, Restorant at at 7. Stairs is magnificent

From our deluxe room we had no view and couldn't open the windows because of noise within the courtyard. The air condition is also noisy. There is no five star atmosphere in the hotel.

Smart, comfortable, great view of the Acropolis from the restaurant.

The lights in our room kept going on and off unpredictably, and the card reader by the wall was clearly faulty. We called for a repair of this, which was done but the problems persisted. Then when we raised the problem the next morning it wasn't taken seriously, despite no explanation being given. Not the end of the world, but certainly could have been handled more accommodatingly.
