location - friendly relax
We liked the smallness of it which really made us feel like beeing in 'our own home'. The room was really VERY comfortable, and we loved the bathroom the size of it AND the two washbasinswhich we found very practical. Bogdan our host added a lot to our stay. Friendly, serviceminded and good company when we had an evening drink in the bar. We will happily recommend the Klint to our friends and will of course choose the same place if we come back to Rhodes. We highly recommend to everybody to travel off season, the Old Town is a fantastic place to explore when most tourists are gone. Good weather too. Inger (Norway) and Chris(England)
Cigarette smoke from downstairs pervaded the whole establishment at times, even the bedrooms. Not a great choice of place to stay if you are sensitive to cigarette smoke
We only stayed one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. Our hostess, Jutta was very accommodating and help us map out our visit, breakfast was made to order with many of the bakery items being homemade. The hotel is delightful, the room clean and large. The location is in the middle of everything. I am looking forward to another stay with Jutta
The proprietor ,tho very accommodating, smoked and when she did it was bothersome in the halls and dining area, ( there were just 3 guest rooms. Even tho this is Europe,"Non- Smoking "should be included in your rating system - afterall, smoking isn't allowed in GB pubs anymore.
Breakfasts were fab. Great bathroom.
Good location; Jutta prepared good breakfast and cleaned our room everyday, the room is not that big, yet has everything you want; big shower water, on a quiet street. And the dog Max, he is sometimes very very nett!!
Wifi was intermittent.
Jutta was very helpful and provided great advice about where to eat.
Light smell that in room someone has smoked. The aircon seemed to have been cleaned long time ago.
Cleanliness, facilities, quiet place, beautiful place, etc. Very beautiful street from old town, especially seen by night. Beautiful pension, they even serve the breakfast on demand. Good espresso coffee (hard to find good espresso in Greece).
Taxi's won't take you right at the hotel because the street is too small (and in august very crowded) so if you have heavy luggages it's not the best!!
Great location right in the old town.. Very nice lady the room was clean. Right next to the best restaurant in the old town Marco Polo!!
We stayed at Klimt guest house for one night and could not have been happier with our choice. The location is very central yet quiet and everything about Klimt was well run clean and tidy. We loved the host Jutta and her two dogs - Max & Sweetie (who are both friendly and gentle). Breakfast was all home made and instead of a buffet style Jutta will make you up whatever you feel like from scratch including her homemade breads and freshly squeezed juices. I will definitely recommend Klimt to anyone I know heading to Rhodes!
Only a minor thing but the air con in the bedroom needs to be more powerful and same in the breakfast room in the morning
Everything as we were made to feel very welcome . The room was very comfortable and clean especially the bathroom . It was great to see locals on the bar listening to the live singer and musician .
-Big dogs. There were 3 big and barking dogs everywhere (Reception, restaurant, lobby, main entrance) in the hotel except the room. This hotel is not suitable for whom does not like to "live, sit and eat with the dogs". - Hotel owner (and only staf), She was extremely rude and did not make feeling of "guest" in contrary with the name of hotel. She very baddly re-acted when my wife be scared of from the her big dogs. You can not differentiate whether this hotel for the customers or for her own dogs. - Hotel owner (Austrian lady) makes polemics with the customers. For example, we said "we don't like animal" (in the meaning of don't like to living, eating, sitting with dogs), she said "why you want cheese because, cheese produced from animals". I reflected that "I don't want to make a polemic with you, i just want to stay comfortable and be satisfied". But unfortunately, it was very bad experience for us. - There was no shampoo, soup in bath. - Towels very very baddly smelling. I needed to re-wash upon touching them. - We were locked in the lobby by the hotel owner without any having information. We tried to open the door, but no success. One of the dog was also inside. Finally, she came back from outside, any opened the door, she even not excused for this. - This was the worst hotel that I've every stayed in the world. We're very unsatisfied.
- Location. Very close to the old town
Had to leave too soon.
Spotlessly clean. Very warm welcome (Jutta and dogs). Friendly and helpful hostess. Food and wine delicious. Great value for money.
The hotel is very small, and the rooms as well. We were three (a couple with a child of eleven), so maybe the room was more suitable for two. Anyway, when you're on holiday on a Greek island you don't spend too much time in the room. So, it was ok.
Breakfast was the best ever tasted in Greece: hand made bread, fresh orange juice, yogurt with nuts and honey, eggs… everything of the highest quality. I was forgetting coffee... Frau Jutta from Wien is really nice, she knows how to receive guests and cares a lot for their needs. Food is super: please taste Jutta's handmade Apfelstrudel. One more important thing to say about Klimt Guest House is the extreme comfort of toilets. I was new to Greek islands and it was a big shock when I first read warning signs in the toilets where guests were kindly asked not to throw toilet paper in the toilet…No way, I thought at first, trying to ignore those signs. But then I realized that maybe using toilets the traditional way might have damaged the sewage, and so I tried - partly - to follow the instructions. You can't believe as relieved I was when I read, in Klimt's toilets, that guests were kindly asked to throw the toilet paper in the toilet and not in a smelly dustbin on the side… I might sound posh and spoiled, but it is hard to change such habits!
The hotel is amazingly clean and they have thought about the details of comfort when designing the rooms. The hotel owner Jutta prepares your breakfast at whichever time you want and you can basically choose whatever you want to eat. That was very nice. The location of the hotel is also very good, in the middle of the old town yet very calm. Just one remark, there were two dogs in the hotel. They were very lovely and calm and we like dogs, so for us it was absolutely fine but for some people that might be a problem.
Jutta is a wonderful host. She picked us up at the port. The location of the guest house is unbeatable. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. Jutta is great to spend time with over a cup of tea and some home made cakes. Hearing tales from her was fantastic. Old town Rhodes is gorgeous and klimt is the only place I would stay at simply because of its location and host.
Host Jutta, beautiful room, superb location.
Good Location to explore Rhodes town, home like breakfast ... very comfortable although It's in the middle of cobble stone area
Really clean and well located in the heart of Rhodes Old Town close to good restaurants and ancient history.
Friendly and welcoming place to stay.
Excellent location, almost in the center of Rhodes Old Town. Very good services. This place makes me feel at home.
Excellent location for exploring the Old Town Great breakfasts, made to order Lovely well kept building
just a walk on cobbles from being dropped at a gate to the Old Town that wasn't optimum
Liked all of it. Beautiful furniture and fittings, attentive service and a great breakfast with excellent coffee and home made bread. Although deep in the Old Town, the location is actually very good, provided, that is, your taxi knows the way to the closest access point.
Unfortunately I stayed only two nights, I wish I had stayed more time.
Jutta, the owner, is one of the most amazing persons we ever met, she treated us like we were old friends, making a personalized breakfast and at the end of the day she always had some treats, like sweets or a liqueur. The hotel itself is excellently well located a few meters from the Old Town main street and the room is clean and comfortable. It was one of the best experiences I had in a hotel..
The attentiveness and caring nature of our host. Jutta went out of her way to welcome us and provide anything for breakfast at any time. Comfortable big beds and double bathroom.
