The hotel was very nice and only 10 minutes walk from Aegina town. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfast was good as well. We stayed for five nights and for sure we would like to come back.
we needed pool towels
The location: close to the sea and great view. But also not too far from major archeological sites! The quietness: no mass tourism The personal approach: very kind owner and personnel, very helpful. They also can prepare a lovely dinner: if you want fish you can buy it on the market and bring it. Nice swimming pool, not too busy, you can order your lunch and drinks there. You also enjoy sitting in the shadows of its palm trees
Though the beach is not crowded, it is small. For swimming I recommend to buy swimming shoes so that you can walk into the sea without hurting yourself against obstacles (stones, some non-poisonous sea urchin). The village Aegina is lovely with its harbour and restaurants. Take a taxi for a few euros or walk (700 m). IThe supermarket is also there, so not around the corner.
The lady of the house couldn't have been more helpful.
The location was great, a 7min walk to port or 4€W taxi. Quiet street, beach across from us. Clean Pool to use. Clean sheets and bathroom. Cleaned everyday. Breakfast was nice. Receptionist lovely and helpful. Help w luggage, easy parking.
No wifi in rooms. Small rooms Power went off each time we left so things in fridge weren't cold when we came back. Also a/con went off each time you opened balcony door. I felt bad for the worker that helped w luggage as he also was the breakfast man, the pool man and handy man. He obviously needs a sidekick to help him out. He had a lot of patience w stuck up tourists also. We left him a big tip, poor guy.
A pefect place for Holliday! Close - but still outside the beatifull city of Aegina! Very Clean. We had a perfect view over the sea! Very helpfull and friendly staff! We felt we ha e very good price for a very good experience. The swimming pool eas nice and clean! The beach in the city was very good! We recomend Aegina for Holliday- an choose the city- not Aegina Marina! We will come back- and bting the rest of the family!
We have been very very satisfied with our stay at Hotel Klonos. Very friendly atmosphere, kind and attentive staff who are dedicated to this very nice place and are doing their outmost on all levels to please the guests. The friendly atmosphere in addition to great location close to beautifull Agia Town and harbour, wonderfull breakfast and lunch, nice and quiet pool/garden area, very clean everywhere, lovely room, very helpfull and serviceminded staff overall - I would certainly love to come back.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, beautiful view from the windows, big swimming pool, quite. I would recommend this place!
Everything was ok. clean and organized. Helene was perfect . Breakfast was ok.
The only thing I did not like was when we made a call from our room after checkout and we were asked to pay for it by Helene's husband(2 euros for a very short local call)and we knew that she was against it .
Very nice and helpfull staff.
The beds are hard. The staff tried to solve the problem with a cushion - it helped, but it did not completely work out. There are ceramic tiles all over the hotel, so all sounds echo through the hotel.
Pros- 1. Restaurant on Premises. This can be very convenient, although the food was only average and fairly expensive. 2. Very secluded location. There was very little traffic around as it is a remote location from the center of Aegina, so it is perfect if you are looking for a quiet location. 3. The bed was very firm, possibly too firm for some people, but adequate for me. I generally try to look at the positives, but sadly they were few and far between at the Kronos Hotel, primarily due to the lack of cleanliness, the attempt to charge me for meals which my family never ate, the construction site view, the potentially dangerous pool, very poor breakfast and unfriendliness of the staff. I could have paid a lot less to view a construction site from my bedroom window in Aegina.
Cons- 1. Cleanliness. I'm not a "clean fanatic" but basic cleanness is an important issue for me. Having said that our room was not merely "unclean" but dirty. This became immediately apparent when I picked up a glass in the room and found that it contained dried up fruit juice of some kind that had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. I do not enjoy staying in hotels which are not clean and the dirty glass was only the beginning. 2. Overcharging. When we checked out, the hotel attempted to charge us for meals which we never ate. When I called this to the attention of the staff, they made it very awkward and appeared to suggest that I wasn't being honest. I was about to call over the waiter from Pakistan who served us when they finally admitted their mistake, but offered no apology and were quite cold and hostile. 3. Unfriendly staff. While I appreciate that most of the staff did not speak English with any degree of fluency, they were quite rude and unfriendly on a number of occasions when asked basic information. I found this sadly surprising for tourists to the Greek islands as most Greeks on the islands are absolutely fantastic. 4. Poorly located nearly a mile (uphill) from the marina of Aegina with no shops or stores nearby. It can be quite hot to walk up and down the hill and taxis can be expensive if you are planning to go back and forth to town once or twice a day. 5. We were promised either a sea-view or garden view on our reservation, but the view from our room was of a construction site with a dozen uncompleted holiday villas and various construction equipment. It was very difficult to see the sea from our room (number 32) as there were lots of homes, power lines and construction blocking our view. It appeared to me that the construction had been abandoned for some time, but while it was only a dozen meters from our room window, it was not apparent if this construction site was owned by the Kronos hotel. 6.
