The first room we were in had a drainage problem in the bathroom. My husband cleaned out the drain covering from hair, before we ever showered, and it helped some. I especially like to sit on the balcony early in the morning to read, and the umbrella the staff provided blew away two mornings, and when we finally were moved to another room with a "covering" it didn't shade adequately from the sun either. We were hoping for one with an arched wall that would give more sun protection (and there was an empty one right next to ours, but we were told there was only one available. that never made sense to us. But, since we only had a few days left, we just stayed put. Also, the word "Gardens" in the name usually implies flower gardens, and it was a little disappointing to be surrounded by "vegetable" gardens instead. The outside area views directly off the back balconies on your property were not maintained and were not attractive. This was only made somewhat better by looking away from your motel property to a couple of nearby buildings that had beautiful pink flowers growing up the wall, and of course the natural scenic view of the mountains in the distance. Also, a few more shaded areas are needed (sturdy umbrella's and/or more coverings of some kind). It was quite a hike to and from town to eat or shop. For people who don't mind walking on a pretty busy street, without a sidewalk near your motel, it's not too bad, but a better path to the town area would be better. We usually walked a bit out of the way, through the neighborhood to the right I hope this review helps make the stay of future guests more pleasant. I would recommend this hotel, but with the reservations I have just mentioned.
The rooms were spacious, the decor was simple and pleasant, there was a balcony. and that the staff tried to quickly accommodate us with a new room when our need for protection from the sun on the balcony. the pool area was clean and the children's shallow area was nice for our friends' children.
