Lamon Hotel  

Booked a room with cooking facilities. 1 plate, 2 cups, no pans, does not equate!!!! Staff whilst trying to please did not understand what we had arranged via Booking.com as their computer was down! Asked on numerous occasions to see our paper records. Finished up with a see-view but no cooking facilities! But at the low Booking.com price. Big tip - print off everything and take with you.

Non sea view rooms are useless whatever the price.

Spent 7 days in a double room with breakfast for 60 euros in August 2011. The best think is the location, right on the beach and in village's centre. Old hotel recently renovated with a very small pool. The breakfast was continental but very poor in terms of quality and variety. A really 2 stars hotel with all staff friendly but not well trained, they were all immigrants and simply did their best. There is also a snack bar at the ground floor serving food which I would not recommend but it is cheap. The food offered has nothing to do with Crete. The number 1 restaurant in the area is "Platia" at the center of the Myrthios village, 2 km. Out of Plakias with superb views over the bay. Do not miss it, it serves reall, home made Cretan food and has reasonable prices.

Our room was ok because it had 2 bedrooms. But other rooms that we saw are not very comfortable and are rather small.

Lamon is a small hotel in the main street of Plakias. The rooms are basic, the beds are wery hard, but the people working there are very helpful and we felt very welcome there. You can sit on the restaurant there and watch and listen to the waves just across the road.. We booked only two nights there in the beginning, but we ended up staying for six nights! If you like to snorkle, the area there are fantastic, a lot of fish and wery clear water. Our children at 13 and 16 tried to dive there and they loved it!! We can recomend the hotel if you want to stay in the senter of Plakias and if you don`t want to pay wery much money for it.. Enjoy your stay at Lamon!!

friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, especially the young lad on reception. cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. very good location, close to bars/tavernas.

the pool was a bit small.

Hotel is located in the centre of Plakias just few meters from the beach.

Gefallen hat mir die Freundlichkeit und Bemühungen der Mitarbeiter und die Nähe zum Strand.

Der Pool lag zur Straße hin und war einsehbar. Das Bad war etwas marode, und es gab keinen Duschvorhang, so daß alles naß wurde beim Duschen. 2 Tage habe ich eine Kakalake gefunden und gefangen, diese dem Personal gezeigt, die sichtlich betroffen waren und ich auch.

Bonne situation géographique, possibilité de faire de grandes balades et à 100m du centre du village. Hotel face à la mer à l'entrée du village. Chambre avec balcon, frigidaire et climatisation sans supplément !! Bonne insonorisation. Petits déjeuners pour diverses nationalités très abordables, service en terrasse face à la mer, possibilités de prendre des repas. Personnel accueillant et réservé, style familial, et le petit + une petite piscine. Tout est bien et un très bon rapport qualité prix !

το οτι ηταν στον κεντρικο δρομο και ειχα προσβαση παντου,επισης βρισκοταν μπροστα στην παραλια

δεν μου αρεσε που δεν υπηρχε η απαραιτητη καθαριοτητα.η θεα απο το δωματιο 108 ειναι κομμενη λογω της περγκολας,δεν λειτουργουσε το τηλεφωνο του ξενοδοχειου.δουλευε 1ατομο και στη ρεσεψιον και στο καφε.προσθεσατε ενα σπασμενο ρατζο στο δωματιο.το δωματιο ηταν γεματο μυρμηγκια και η καθαριστρια ουτε που συγκινηθηκε.απαραδεκτο!!!!
