Lato Boutique Hotel  

The hotel was very welcoming and located close to the bus, the ferries, shopping, attractions and excellent restaurants. The staff were helpful, friendly and interested in assisting us. We ate at the restaurant Brilliant and our meal was very good. We were able to easily walk to other dining options and we were also only a couple of minutes from the bus station which made for easy access to Knossos. We came in by plane - just a short cab ride away and left by ferry - this time, just a short walk away. All and all a great stay!

It was all good!

Very helpful staff, both at the reception desk and in the restaurant. Readiness on their part to go extra mile to meet our wishes for upper floor rooms, on the 2 nights we stayed there. Also its closeness to the ferry terminal, specifically to the Hellenic Seaways catamaran to Santorini island, which we used. It is also very close to 25 August Street, the main street from the seafront into the heart of old Heraklion. We also ate one night in the Brillant restaurant and it was excellent, both as to the quality of food and of service.

The staff was very kind and helpful! The location is very good for those who wants to explore the city.

Lato has the title of a boutique hotel; they sould have nice decoration also in the rooms; The familly room we had wasnt pretty at all, wasnt boutique hotel room. It was very classic, nothing special regarding the decoration... A very medium room.

The staff was ver helpful and friendly. Food was excellent.

It needs renovation especially the bathrooms

Hotel personnel was hospitable. Central location within walking distance from all Heraklion' attractions. Good Brillant restaurant located inside the hotel.

Jsut a decorative door to bathroom - for a family this definitely reduces comfort.

The hotel has an astounding view of the old harbour from some of the rooms. It is very conveniently located; very central. The common areas are excellent: modern, clean, ergonomic. The hotel has a very interesting and cost-effective breakfast.

The carpet of the room really needed a replacements. Although the room had been renovated, the bathroom was a bit old fashioned. The excellent price and location made up for these small inconveniences, however.

The wireless internet worked fine. The hotel staff is very helpful! I'll go again.

Location was excellent. Walking distance (@10 mins) from ferry port. Can see hotel from port. Nice paved path from port to hotel for pulling luggage. Bus terminal a which you can use to go to Knossos Palace and to catch a bus to Chania is right next door on waterfront level so could not be more convenient. Easy shopping/walking from the hotel. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. View of the harbor was nice but balcony with table, two chairs was really too small to sit and enjoy yourself. Free wi-fi in rooms

Stayed in a superior double room with sea view and it was really tiny. Room so small that the bed although comfortable had to be pushed up against one wall in order to fit in room. Bath insanely small and shower even smaller. Room/bath were clean but bath pretty claustrophobic. It is not a room to hang out in and relax

Perfect location by walking distance from the port. Fancy see view from the room, and most friendly and kind staff ---- we arrived very early in morning with bad sleeping on over night ferry, very tired after walking from the port but the guest stay in our triple room still not check out yet, the reception lady gave us another doulbe room for our short time break and notify us for the room ready very timely. We do appreciate it! And the roof top restaruant is also very nice view and nice food, and nice waitress. A wonderful staying there, even one of the best hotel we have ever stayed in the long Greece travel....

Friendly staff who are very helpful. We have only big notes and were having problem breaking the notes in shops, the hotel helps by changing small notes with us.

There is a unpleasant smell in the toilet.

Location!

Room was tiny, bathroom was tiny! If you were under 5 foot then you would find it comfortable. Needs updating. Have to say staff were very nice though...they can only work with what tools they have.
