Fantastic place for a relaxing holiday (12 days at the end of September) away from the workplace and hustle and bustle of everyday life. Brilliant pool. Beach within easy (2 mins) walking distance of the hotel complex. Excellent managers and staff. Even the head cook had occasion to smile at times.
Just one small constructive criticism of the location regarding a slight litter issue. I shall be writing to Kefalonia Local Authority to complain! A once weekly sweep of roadside litter using a 2 man litter pick team would make a big difference to the amenity of the area. The hotel complex and grounds was free of litter and very well maintained.
2nd time in the hotel and nothing to complain! Spent 3 weeks with small daughter (8months) and will come back! Big room with terrace, breackfast, great staff, gym and of course, beach! The location is the best - everything is close!
Missed laundry, but found it in argostolly.
it really was an excellent, relaxing holiday for us. we stayed in a beautifully styled, large and comfortable room and had a big, cozy terrace with jacuzzi. all in all, not only the room, but the whole hotel, the food, the location and especially the friendly staff led to a holiday experience, we will definitely book again!
We had a studio apartment which was spacious and so clean it was great. There was also private courtyard which the sun hit beautifully so it was lovely to sit out there with a glass of wine. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and just lovely!
Arrived late afternoon after a week's sailing. Exceptionally friendly welcome plus a glass of fresh orange juice!! Delicious dinner. Lovely views from hotel. Sadly, we had to leave by 6am next morning, so no time for breakfast. Hotel had already booked a taxi for us as requested in our booking email.
We weren't able to stay long enough!!
Receptionist Anastasia was exceptional.
Noise level of other guests with a crying baby.
We liked the uniqueness of the hotel and we liked maria and the staff and we liked breakfast.
We didn't like the location , it was too quiet and not enough life . perhaps you could introduce some entertainment I.e Greek dancing etc.
The staff was very friendly. The room was big and clean. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes. The ones we tried were really nice. The location was excellent (walking distance to the beach and some restaurants), although a car is recommended if you want to see more of the island.
location cleanliness facilities food
bar and menu prices
The staff are so helpful and really friendly the room is big and comfy with a lovely sea view and short walking distance to a lovely sandy beach, enjoy ourself very much
Excellent location few minutes away from airport. 200meters away from a really nice beach. Hotel is impeccably clean and service is better than 5 star. They really give attention to all guests.
What's not to like? Great location, friendly and very polite staff. The hotel itself is a pleasure to look at and admire with some fantastic artistic and design features.
What an anazing hotel a concrete and glass building could be in Barcelona trendy furnishings and softened with fresh flowers and sweet smelling jasmine
The breakfast was good but lunch around pool not so good
We stayed a few nights last year at this hotel. Very close to the beach Avithos and the two taverns where food is very good. The room is very spacious, wifi which worked very well. Dining area and pool with a fantastic view.
Last year we had a room with sea view, which is very spacious and have a beautiful view, but we felt so comfortable due to adjacent rooms. This year we opted for a "suite with private garden" which gives you a lot of peace, privacy and relaxation. Just as I was a little disappointed with the room furnishings, which gives an unpleasant aspect. A mini fridge is not incorporated and that bothers night noise that makes, located in a bad way. Room layout, compared to last year, I no longer gave the impression of impeccable cleanliness. But the area where the camera is situated loved us, quiet and privacy, with greenery and flowers.
The hotel room was very nice, originally we were in the private garden suites. The rooms were huge, and the bathroom was perfect. If I were to build a house, that's how I'd have my bedroom. The staff were all brilliant and helpful, they arranged a few things for my girlfriend, and sorted us a hire car.
The garden suite we had had two twin beds pushed together instead of a double - so make sure you ask for a double. We were moved from the garden suites to the junior suite on the last night - this was supposed to be an upgrade, but I think we both preferred the garden suite. The view from the junior suite was incredible, but the bathroom in the garden suites was just so nice that we both felt a little underwhelmed. Breakfast was good but not excellent. We stayed at Leivatho for 4 nights, which was okay. Any longer and we both feel we would have been a little bored of the selections. Other than that, I couldn't recommend the hotel more!
Loved the location, the architect-designed building. Minimalist with classic Greek chic. Remarkably uncrowded and relaxed in spite of being fully booked.
Kitchen service could be slow.
A top quality small hotel with unique style. Quiet, chilled out and peaceful. Maria & her wonderful team showcase the best of Kefalonian hospitality, quality and charm. Excellent varied menu. So glad we found you - thank you for a perfect holiday - see you next year...
Great view, the close beach is unique and the first restaurant from the hotel to the beach very good. Sunset is unforgettable, it were beautiful if the beach (indipendent owner) offrered qualified service, like aperitivo "Italian style"
we absolutely fell in love with this hotel. so chique yet with a homey vibe.lanscape is breathtaking. rich breakfast. Maria the owner treats her guests like family and the staff is amazingly hospitable. location is awesome close to the airport and to two amazing tavernas on the beach. avithos beach is perfect for families and everyone else. we spent an amazing week there
Rooms are large and spotless clean Poolside breakfast area with nice view over the sea and nice music Location near beautiful Avithos beach with a very nice bar and 2 tavernas
Bereakfast quality was very poor (definitely not 4 stars) - few choices and recycled food from last dinner or from lasts breakfasts (boiled eggs preserved for many days in the fridge) Smaller pool than in the pictures
The location is perfect: secluded so that you have a quiet stay, but not too far away from argostoli when you need th small town; up a hill for the wind to be felt, but in a walking distance to the sweet small Avithos Beach. Maria and her staff are great, smiling and helpful bunch of people who make you feel welcome. The new addition to the hotel, the restaurant with its sunny chef, is worth trying it! We enjoyed our stay a lot!
Nothing to complain about.
The staff was very friendly and extrememly helpful. Rooms were contemporary and very clean. Poolside drinks were an added bonus! The views are exceptional.
That I had to leave...
The minimal and interesting design, eco style and the location close to the beach (3 minute walk) and 2 tavernas.Wonderful pool with great views over the mediterranean sea. Dedicated and friendly staff, good service, great choice at breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere, whilst also stylish leisure such as a jazz night.
nice, unusual decor and nice gardens
Unfortunately our six night stay at the hotel had been very disappointing due to the misleading representations given by the hotel along with the description of their rooms. Although we booked the room described as "a superior studio with private garden" the room that we got on our arrival at the hotel not only did not match to the photos displayed along with the above description of the room, but did not even had a private garden let alone a window. The room was definately inferior and of lower value that the one we booked and paid for. It was in fact frustrating that we had to argue at the reception in order to convince them / make them admit that the room was not the one we booked. The only solution they could offer was to stay to that room for one night, then for another three nights to stay to what they informed us was a junior suite and then for the remaining two nights to another room which was actually the one we booked. From the three rooms that they moved us we could definitely establish that the last one was actually the one we booked and was also better than the "suite" they offered. However we only stayed to that room for the last two nights of our stay. Breakfast was average wifi didn't work in the 1st room
