Lena Apartments  

Lena Apartments are charming, tucked in a quiet street in the centre of Skiathos town, minutes from the port... private, clean, pretty and secluded... Lena herself was fantastic - friendly, helpful and fun - a great budget option - much nicer than then larger hotels.

Nothing - highly recommended.

Lena apartments do not exist. When we arrived in Skiatos at 7.00 P.M. (our arrival time previously advised by telephone ) there was no "pick - up" service as promised. We checked at the tourist information. They had never heard of Lena Apartments. Finally, we were put in touch with Elena Makri who claimed to be the owner of Lena Apartments. She asked us to follow a young boy (who didn't speak English) to the "Apartment" which turned out to be two rooms on different floors in a hostal. There was no sign to indicate that this was Lena Apartment. After many attempts to contact Elena (via mobile from Ireland!) she came to talk to us. She was extremely rude insisting we were in the Lena Apartment that we had booked with booking.com. Finally she agreed to show us another apartment. This was on a very steep incline only accessible on foot. A number of taxi drivers refused to take us there. It was 9.30 P.M. before we got into this apartment, There was no hot water for the first two days. There was no Wi-fi Elena couldn't remenber the password, the next day she remembered that is was 1234Skiatos and when that didn't work she told us that she had forgotten to pay for the service! Each member of our group want to pay their share of the account on departure Aug 6 but Elena had already (at 0.55 A.M. Aug 5th) charged to full amount to my credit card. We did not receive an invoice. She gave us an address for her office but on each occasion that we went there we got no reply and there was no sign to say that this in fact was her office. I have made many bookings with Booking.com and this is the first time that I have been disappointed. Lena Apartments should be not on Booking.com

Location and cleanliness of room

Uncomfortable old beds and pillows. Problem with power supply and air conditioning and managers recalcitrant attitude to do anything about it.

Situation directement sur le port Studio moderne Belle décoration du studio

Le bruit de conversations animées émanant des studios voisins jusqu'à 2h du matin, alors que la ville était déja calme(les grecs sont vraiment très très bruyants, mais nous le savions...) En dehors de ses plages nous n'avons trouvé aucun attrait à Skyathos : à fuir si vous recherchez la tranquillité.

Appartamento pulito e confortevole. Ottima posizione e la signora Lena cordiale e disponibile.

Appartamento molto rumoroso, molto caldo per come è stato costruito e poco curato (tende oscuranti non in ordine )

Sono spiacente ma le stanze prenotate erano di livello decisamente superiore rispetto a quelle dove abbiamo soggiornato.Su internet alla prenotazione ho visto le foto di camere ottime e non erano queste che abbiamo avuto.

Τελεια τοποθεσια και σχεση ποιοτητας τιμης

Δεν υπηρχε σαπουνι και σαμπουαν.

το δωματιο βρισκοταν σε πολυ καλη τοποθεσια..κοντα στο λιμανι και στην πολη της σκιαθου.

το δωματιο δεν ηταν το ιδιο με αυτο των φωτογραφιων(εννοειται χειροτερο).η τηλεοραση(εικοσαετιας) με το ζορι επιανε τρια καναλια.WiFi δεν υπηρχε παροτι ενημερωσα την ιδιοκτρια..δεν υπηρχαν πατζουρια και για την αντιμετοπιση του ηλιου υπηρχε μονο μια πατεντα οπου εβαζες μια κουβερτα πανω απο την κουρτινα..τελος ενω μας ειχε βεβαιωσει πως υπαρχει χωρος να αφησουμε τα πραγματα μας την τελευταια μερα(καθως το πλοιο εφευγε 6.35μμ απο τη σκιαθο και το check out ηταν στις 11.30)δεν εγινε ποτε...

L'appartamento era affacciato sul porto. Una vista meravigliosa. Era pulito e di dimensioni adeguate per la nostra famiglia di 3 persone. La sig.ra Elena era sempre disponibile e molto attiva nel fornire indicazioni che potessero rendere ancora più piacevole il nostro soggiorno.

Doveva esserci la connessione wi-fi e invece non c'era. Anche il televisore lascaiva un poco a desiderare. Sicuramente non siamo andati in Grecia per guardare la televisione o per utilizzare il computer, ma se ti dicono che troverari determinati servizi poi ti aspetti di trovarli.

la posizione è ottima vicina alle taverne e al porto, l'appartamento dove alloggiavo godeva di una bellissima vista mare e buona anche la pulizia che veniva fatta ogni giorno e ogni due giorni c'era il cambio della biancheria.

nel sito di booking gli appartamenti fotografati erano diversi da quello che abbiamo avuto noi e la coppia dei nostri amici an che se comunque erano altrettanto carini

Magnifique séjour dans un petit appartement avec une vue sur le port de Skiathos. Le service fut impeccable et la logeuse adorable !

Läget och balkongen

Det lovades WI-FI i studion men det fanns inte, lite frustrerande när man räknat med att kunna jobba lite.

Lå sentralt til, vi fikk stor balkong helt øverst, da vi var 3 personer. Virka som de andre balkongene var små. Fin utsikt fra balkong.

Bratt trapp, tungt å bære opp kofferten. Badet, malt mur vegger og gulv, virket skittent. Trafikk støy av mopeder, sov dårlig om natta. Det var sol parasoll, men ingen holder til parasollen. Trafikk støy, også om dagen.

I liked that the location was really close to the center of Skiathos town (5 minutes walking).

There was only one woman for cleaning the rooms and probably by being so busy she wasn`t friendly! The room looked clean when we got in but after few minutes I started seeing things that they shouldn`t be the way the were...where the hairdryer was it had hair on floor...the wc had brown stains (you can understand what kind !!!) and the the little table at the balcony I think that from last year they did not clean it, it had a cover on top full with stains and I don`t think that they can take it away anymore! We said that we just married and we were expecting that at least we would get the room that we saw on the foto`s (it was the last one that she had!!!) we booked it and instead we got a small room with 2 single beds that they put them together!!! The douche was so small that one person could just fit and it wasn`t easy to wash properly. They say that they have wi fi but that it`s not working because the network has a problem and that many places in the island they don`t have connection (wherever we went we had no prob except from the Lena apartments)!!! After all these good things the highlight was at the end...i booked 2 rooms for me and my man and for some friends...on the site says that you book with your credit card and they keep the number only for garancy. A day or two before we leave I called Mrs Lena to arrange to meet so we can pay her...she said to call her back the next day to arrange it...which I did... But she informed me that the room was payed throught credit card and that our friends arranged that with her and I had to give them the money!!! When I talked to them they thought the opposite...so actually she messed with both and she used a credit card from the booking without asking and without even knowing from which was the card...and then she met my man and gave him the receipts !!!!!!! She did that without no one of us to be there and without our signature!!!!

There is no reception. No staffs to help if needed. they have rooms in three different places in a street like houses.

Have nothing to say..

I was given a room that had no connection with what I booked... No hot water, water pressure out of taps extremely low, old furniture... No internet although it says there is... I was offered the internet of the restaurant below my room and it was hopeless. It sometimes took 5 minutes to open a single page.. Alternatively, I was offered to go to owner's restaurant for using their internet. What a mess!!!

Lena appartements are not the ones showed in the pictures, in fact it's a lady called Elena who has appartments all over skiathos town, so you never know where you will be lodged. Also she says that there is Wifi in the apps but there isn't, in our case she gives us the wifi of the bar that is placed down the appt, so we were not able to have wifi, only in the balcony and in some hours. Also the tv never works (because the decoder never worked, it even switched on, and she told us that there were not TV in the whole island... - no comments-) To finish, the appartement is in the port, and is really noisy, but that's something that is not because of the appartemnet is the town itself, if you are thinking about going to Skiathos, the town is great bt if you want some calm is better to get iniside the town not in the port. I mean you can find thousands of better places for this price.
