Lena Hotel  

Lena Hotel is very good hotel for the money. It is a small hotel, a little older but rooms are quite large and have high ceilings. The staff was excellent; there was always someone at the front desk no matter the time, and they were very accommodating. The hotel is in a very good location in Heraklion - two blocks from the water, and one block off the main "pedestrian" blvd. The neighborhood it's in has a number of amenities - a grocery store, pharmacy, travel agent, even a Starbucks down the street. But the hotel itself is on a quiet street. Definitely would check out Lena Hotel for budget-conscious trip to Crete.

Very small quibbles : not many electrical outlets in room; beds are quite hard, but don't think you're likely to find anything even slightly soft in Greece.

Location for centre and bus transport to airport/anywhere else on crete.

It's a small family-run hotel, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's bang in the middle of Heraklion, but miraculously it's on a very quiet street. We (two people) were given a four-bed room for the price of two. The bathroom was spacious too. The breakfast (additional to the price of the room) was prepared specially for us. We will certainly stay there next time we're in town.

The hotel was very clean, quiet, very close to the center town and the sea.. The stuff was friendly and helpful..

L'absence d'une petite bouteille d'eau plate. La salle de douche exigu.

Hôtel très confortable et calme , bien situé pour visiter la ville ( mais dur , dur d'y arriver en voiture et de se garer ; on y parvient mais c'est du sport ); très gentil accueil ; petits déjeuners copieux et délicieux .

Een basic hotel, voor een mooie prijs. Betrouwbaar personeel - als ze iets beloven, doen ze het ook. Wij konden er zelfs op kerstavond terecht en waren toen de enige gasten. Omdat ze 24 uur open zijn, moest er voor ons steeds iemand zijn. Kennelijk geen probleem voor hen.
