The interior of the hotel is designed to a high standard. The lobby and pool areas are particularly attractive. The room I stayed in was functional and clean. Furnishings in the bedroom are of good quality.Wireless internet was available free of charge. Five star looks, but 3-4 stars for everything else... Before listing the negatives encountered, I should add that staff at the reception were very helpful addressing the problems. Nevertheless, In a five star hotel I didn't expect there to be problems in the first place. Location of hotel is not optimal: according to staff there is no public transport linking the hotel and city center. In my case this meant an extra cost of 20-40 Euro per day for taxis (adding this to the hotel room price considerably lowered the good value for money ratio). Breakfast was excellent, but on one day there was hardly any left (26.06.11). On all days getting served coffee proved a big challenge (the breakfast room appeared considerably under-staffed). Apparently the pool area can be booked for events. Not being able to sit by the pool on a hot day in Greece is not what I expected to happen in a five star establishment (after complaining, reception paid for taxi and entrance to an overcrowded swimming-pool / bar). Regarding the hotel room: Shower was leaking a lot.

We were in Thessaloniki to attended a sports event and whilst there also viseted the tomb of Phillip father of Alexander the Great, a most amazing experience , and highly recommended ,We travelled there as guests of Gregory who works at the hotel , on his day off, totally beyond the call of duty. The staff in this hotel are all helpfull in every way possible and cant do enough to make your stay enjoyable and I would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending it to any other person considering a viset to Thessiloniki. You will not find this standard of hospitality easily.

It's the third time my wife and I stay at "Les Lazaristes", and each time we leave fully satisfied. For a short business trip or a family visit it is the ideal place to stay in Thessaloniki, if you want an affordable 5* luxury stay. The personnel is kind, the rooms and the common areas are clean and tidy and Fred & Ginger is the best restaurant in town. Make sure you try the watermelon soup with the feta ice-cream :) Well, the Stavroupoli area is not really for walking and sightseeing, but if you have a car this is not such a big deal. The wi-fi network is not as reliable as it used to be.

We arrived at the hotel at 9.00pm and the drive from Thessaloniki Airport to the hotel was an eye opener - the area looked rough and the children were worried about the hotel, but once we arrived we were at ease as the hotel is luxurious and safe. Reception was very welcoming and our rooms (3 in total) were modern, spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was amazing - so much to choose from and the staff were always friendly and courteous. Reception also booked our bus tickets to Florina with no problems and called for our taxis to the bus depot. Always accommodating - nothing was a problem.

Polite and helpful staff at the reception, we are very pleased with their attitude. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, about 4 km from center, with great street cafes around, there are taverns and restaurants with Greek cuisine and live music. We are fascinated by the surrounding pleasant places - nothing special, but really Greek and charming. The hotel restaurant is pleasant, but the food is not typically tasty Greek and a disappointing for us. By bus 27 are for 10-30 min in the center, same time and taxi, which costs 4 - 8 euro depending on traffic jam. We sat in an ordinary room, although we paid Superior and had to hold little controversy. It was uncomfortable at the beginning of the celebration of New Year. Room cleaning is only in the late afternoon when the people resting. So for 4-day stay, the room was clean and tidy once. The hotel is nice, we stayed back, but does not meet the 5 stars in any way

Friendly staff, quiet surrounding and good facility are the major advantages. Price value is also important. I could recommend it to people that coming with car, but also taxi service is not expensive for the others regarding that hotel is 10 min drive from the heart of the city and the sea. I would like to also appraise that there are a lot of signs/marks all around the city pointed to the hotel location, so driver could easily find it.

The design of the hotel was marvelous. The breakfast also was gourmet. The staff was very helpful also. The free wifi and parking was great too. The cleaning in my room's floor was poor.It was dusty and full of small hair everywhere,It need moping for sure.I Didn't like that the spa was closed for maintenance.I Booked there because I didn't want to go out of the hotel but with the spa closed I had nothing to do there. In the bathroom they need to have more shampoo, one is not enough if you shower for than once!

An excellent hotel operating to high standards in all aspects of customer satisfaction. The rooms are very well fitted out with modern appliances and include a mini-bar and coffee/tea equipment. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was extensive and the bar snacks were also very appeaaling. Great, helpful staff and an excellent place to stay if you are in Thessaloniki. It is just a little bit off the beaten track (outside the city centre) but well worth this minor inconvenience.

Modern, clean hotel with a very attractive bar/drink area by the pool. We dined here on our first night. The food was good and reasonably priced and the service was excellent - all the staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast was good with good selection. The room was modern and spacious. Free internet which was a plus. It would have been perfect if it had been a little closer to the centre - 15 minutes by bus (depending on traffic)
