Renovated in 2007, this hotel is situated in Hydra village, just 200 metres from the port and furnished as a traditional Hydriot mansion.
Each room has its own character with different layouts and flooring. The public areas are all bright and airy with elegant, comfortable furniture. There is a sitting room with tables and chairs, intimately grouped, where you can meet with your friends and family before dinner. The bar has a TV for catching up with the latest news or watching a sporting event. Large double doors lead from the sitting room to the walled, patio garden where you can enjoy the sun with friends or a quiet read on your own. The dining room is on the ground floor and an excellent breakfast is served. A fitness room, sauna and hydromassage are also available for your comfort. The large, air conditioned conference room can comfortably accommodate 40 delegates.
The rooms are all a good size and furnished with antique-style furniture. All bathrooms or shower rooms are of a high standard, fully-tiled and supplied with plenty of fluffy towels. The corridors are fitted with movement sensors that automatically switch on the lights so that you don’t have to fumble around in the dark. The corridors with wooden floors have carpet runners, which reduces the noise of guests walking to their rooms so that those who are already sleeping are not disturbed.
The island’s history and culture are evident wherever you look. The architecture and social structure reflects centuries of external influence which have created the diverse, proud and highly individual Greece of today. From the ruins of Episcopi and the mansions of the main town, to the numerous chapels, churches and monasteries; every building has a story to tell.
