    It's difficult to rate a hotel I didn't stay at. When we arrived at the hotel the reception was locked and luckily the lady working next door told us about the other hotel we needed to go to to check in. Let's call this hotel 2. So I walked up the road and when I was rudely greeted I was told I was not staying at this hotel but a "4star" hotel (hotel 3) that was "much better" for one night then to Lignos for the 2nd. As I booked Lignos 3 months ago and it was right on the square I asked to stay there but there was no budging so we were driven to a much further destination and after much confusion they finally found us a room. The room was nice however it was a 15 minute walk to "civilization".

    Layer I tried to take a shower but the water was scolding. The manager reluctantly tried to sort it but then we end up with no running water. The next morning the lady picks us up to take us to not lignos but now the 4th hotel they own(that we know of) that was nice but also a trek to the main square (unlike Lignos). No one really seemed to know what was going on except that it became aparant that the staff at both places we stayed at were use to guests staying one night at one hotel before moving them on to the next. I think the owner might need to hire someone to do there scheduling of rooms because in my opinion for people that own atleast four hotels they seemed to have no idea what's going on.

    The hotel has several different places of rooms for quests to stay. Some places are quite far away from the town.

    Nothing.

    We arrived at Lignos we had to wait for 45 minutes before anyone came to reception and were given the room we had booked, balcony aircon, tv etc.. We were then asked to leave that room as they given us the wrong room. We were then put in a room that just 10ft x 10ft, dirty no satellite tv, air con broke and a filthy bathroom. When I complained I was told we would get our room the next day. The following day I was told that there were still no rooms available. After several arguments they took us to another hotel who made us wait until 15.00hrs before giving us a room that could only be described as a dungeon. No windows no tv no wifi. After going back to Lignos and telling them that I still had not got the room I had paid for I was eventually given one,(minus the satellite tv) after going from one hotel backwards and forwards 4 times. We were not allowed breakfast at the new hotel and had to go to yet anther hotel for that. It comprised of bread honey ham cheese and coffee. Some continental breakfast. We asked for a transfer and how much it would cost the Hotel Lignos arraigned this and said it would cost 7 euros when we arrived at our destination the driver tried to charge us 20 euros. That about sums up the Lignos rip off. Pay extra stay somewhere else.

    Location is good

    The staff overbook this hotel on purpose. When I checked in, they sent me and 12 other guests to another hotel a lot further away for the first 2 nights of my booking, no where near as close as Lingos to town centre, and refused to give discount for the inconvenience. The lady at the other hotel says they do this ALL THROUGH PEAK SEASON!!! Also, the pictures show a pool, however the pool is located at the sister hotel, 200m down a steep hill! Requires a lot of effort when your trying to relax. The only good thing about this place was the location - if they have actually kept your booking. Also very bad with communication, answering the phone, you have to go to the sister hotel for checkin after 3ish, overall, a horrible unpleasant experience. This place should not be listed on bookings.com!!

    Free shuttle service is convient as most accomadation in Santorini list they are on Main Street, Thira when they're really not. Hotel was nice and we had the luxury of two hotels pools. They carried our bags to our rooms which is always a plus and arranged a taxi back to the airport upon request.

    Even though check in was at midday a shuttle bus was arranged to pick us up from the airport around 6am. So the owners where well aware of us coming yet no one was at reception to even let us leave our bags somewhere until 9am. There was a sign on the door redirecting us to another accomdation and then once we finally found that one we where directed by another sign to next door. And by sign I mean a peice of paper with writing on it. Our original booking was with Lignos but that was booked out when we got there. Mind you we booked and paid for this accomdation two months prior. Conviently the family owned 2 other hotels from what we put together so we moved to another hotel. However the facilities we originally paid for where not of the same. I would only recommend staying here if you have patience because you're going to need it. Oh and they forgot to mention the free wake up calls in their bio ... don't get to excited though I'm not sure about you but I don't like people opening my room door screaming check out when I'm not even meant to check out that day.

    Very convenient located, excellent value of money, clean - and spacious room. I would recommend to people looking for a nice clean room centrally located

    Good location

    Our transfer did not pick us up, which meant we waited for an hour at 1am in the morning and then had to catch the local bus. Breakfast is only bread with cheese,ham and/or jam.

    Fantastic location, just off the main square. Good value for money as they provide breakfast as well as transfers to the port and airport for free.

    The staff are rude and unhelpful. They want a quick check in and check out. There is no one at the reception and check in must be done at their other hotel further down the street, where sometimes there isn't even someone at the reception. We had to ask for towels and for sheets that actually fit the bed, as the ones on the bed were too small - requiring us to go to the other hotel. They waste a lot of your time. They also insist that they can't take credit card, making various excuses as to why not. In the end I insisted and they let us pay by card.

    Location is good close in town. They picked up and took us to port.

    Staff were not too friendly and breakfast was served at other hotel down the road, room was small.

    The hotel itself is well-situated, clean and comfortable.

    Service was horrible. Arrived in afternoon and the hotel was closed with nobody inside. Called the number we had on our booking conformation list - reached the manager on 20th call and half an hour later she came. Aked for additional blanket two days in a row (there were three of us in the room and two blankets at the beginning). Breakfast was served in another hotel - Blue Sky, which was not that far from Lignos, but still uncomfortable.

    absolutely cheap price. That's it.

    There wasn't always any staff at reception except only when I was just about to check-in. When I needed some helps, it was so difficult and inconvenient because of being no people at reception.

    Room clean.

    Receptionist not much friendly. Never arrange the shuttle from/ to airport, but email reply will arrange the shuttle.

    1.charged my credit card before my arrival, but my payment term was no prepayment. 2.poor arrangement for 2 different hotels for my 2 nights stay. 3.wasted my valuable holiday time,3 hrs on the morning of second day to get the key of second room. 4.no reply for my enquries before arrival, make me annoyed after a long flight. 5.all bad reviews by other clients written are correct, like no transfer. no reception,bad manner etc. 6. no recommend for their hotel chain.

    Located close to bus station. Free bus transfer to port.

    We booked a room with "private balcony" however we only had a window which opened up into the stairwell, meaning we couldnt leve it open at night. No remote for aircon, room was very stuffy. Wifi was very weak/un-usable. Reception was only open during breakfast, you have to walk to the other hotel any other time.

    Nothing.

    I've booked a room for one night but the hotel had charged me twice room rates 20 days in advance on my credit card. When I tried to communicate with them through email and telephone,no one replied to me at all. The pick-up service from the port was not effectual. I had to take a bus myself. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no staff, the reception was closed. I was told to go to another hotel of the same patron and got my key. Finally I got a very simple, old and moist room on the ground floor with a big smell and a broken door. The wifi didn't worked at all. The next morning I got the refund of the extra charge after several negotiations.Too tiring and it's a defraud, the worst experience that I've ever had.

    It's hotel is closed. We got there and there was no reception. A local told us to go down the road to another hotel by the same owner, otherwise we would have never known since there were no signs on the hotel saying it was closed.

    we have a bit surprise when we arrive at Lignos because the lady instead to give a room in the hotel moved us to a Pension and didnt even inform us about reason. She told us to go the a Pension closed by and when we arrived; the lady even didnt know that we were arriving. The day after we have to back to Lignos for breakfast, both pension and hotel are about 10 minutes walking.The breakfast is very poor. I then discovered that photo are using in BOOKING.COM are fake because belong to another hotel. I do not suggest it to anyone.

    Only the location is all right.

    They have promised us that they will pick us up from the airport, but finally we were waiting for two hours and they didn't come! We reached the hotel by ourselves. And the staff are not friendly! Both my friend and me dislike the hotel.

    Very near the town center, great value for money, good wifi signal, simple and good all around.

    We had 3 days booked and on the first day they moved us to a different hotel for a day. It was down a big hill and the next day when they came to pick us up they asked us to get over the hill and meet the driver there which of course we denied to do so. There is no reception at all, if you need anything then good luck. The 1 lady who runs the whole thing rarely answers her phone either.

    Shuttle service to airport. Rooms were spacious and clean.

    I emailed several times, but never got a reply, and I telephoned at least 10 times but never got through to anyone, to arrange collection so had to catch bus to Fira from the port.. On arrival at hotel no manned reception and the same number to ring, which no-one answered. Luckily we met someone who sent us to hotel Blue Sky and everything was OK from then on.

    Excellent location close to a bus terminal and car rentals. Good price.

    A free airport/port shuttle is only available in daytime, which is not indicated on the hotel page. There is no 24-hour reception in the hotel. The main reception desk is in the sister hotel (Blue Sky villa). Having arrived at night, we had to walk there and back with all the luggage. There were no towels in the room, so we had to go there again. Beds were broken and one of them collapsed at night (fortunately we could fix it ourself). Most of the pictures on hotel's page are misleading as they depict Blue Sky hotel or some other place on Fira, not Lignos hotel. However, 70 euros for two nights stil makes it good value for money.
