Near the city centre

Very simple rooms, room number 19 don`t have even window! I felt there like in cellar and there is very unpleasant smell of moisture! Fortunatelly I`ve been there only 2 nights but I`m sure, that I would never come back to this "hotel". Besides, transfer to the hotel - yes, from the hotel - no, they don`t care about it. If you want to live your luggage last day, forget about it. Lady in reception told us, that we can leave our luggage in some travel agency in the town. We were in few and in every agency they were very suprised of it! When we come back to the "hotel", lady told us, that we can leave our luggage but it will be waiting for us in corridor because reception is closed in the evening. When we come back in the evening for our luggage, it was in corridor without any controll and reception was still open!!! I`ve been in many places, worse and better hotels but I`ve never meet with so big ignorance and disrespect like there!!!

The location was perfect to walk and discover Fira city. The breakfast was good with bread, ham and cheese, jams, honey and butter, cereals, coffee and milk. They offer us free transportation to the port at our convenience.

We had to wait 45 min for the receptionist to come from another hotel. Only a few hours a day there was somebody at the front desk. Also we had to have breakfast at the other hotel that they own (Blue Sky hotel). There was no remote control for the A/C so we couldnt use it.

Tener que ir a otro hotel para poder desayunar. El personal no responde a los emails que uno envía, eso deberían mejorar.

It's definitely value for money. The breakfast is great. and the location is excellent. it's near to the bus station and fira town centre.

Away from the crowds but not too far to walk in to town.

I was booked to stay in Lignos with a private balcony, music and cable TV but was actually put in Blue Sky Villas, further out of town, in a below-ground room with no balcony, no music and five non-English TV channels. I only found out about this after wandering around Fira for an hour with all my luggage because when I got to Lignos via their bus transfer from the ferry port it wasn't even open! As I'd been forced to pay in advance it didn't seem worth complaining, particularly as I doubt the girl on reception would have been able to do anything about it.

Lignos Hotel is very well located in Fira and it's a good value for money. The most important for me is that was clean.

As is close to center, there's a lot of noise (for me was OK because I sleep easily). The rrom was supposed to have TV but there wasn't and the staff just was in the reception during the morning.

the bathroom smelled a bit like gas and I'm not sure my bedding was that clean (toothpaste stains on the bed cover for example).

I find it hard to rate this hotel because it turns out I did not actually stay at the Lignos - I was taken to the Blue Sea Suites Hotel, a 10 minute or so walk from Lignos, away from the city centre. I was informed that it was the same company but did not expect to have to walk almost 20 mins to the bus station instead of 5-10. I was impressed and relieved that as promised, a driver was sent to pick me up from the port and still came even when my ferry trip had been delayed and I didn't arrive until 1am. This would be a wonderful hotel in summer when the beautiful swimming pool was filled, the rooms were pleasantly cold and if you had a car to get from the country into town.

The Blue Sea Suites hotel I stayed in was gorgeous to look at but the room was so damp and cold on arrival, it felt like the sheets were wet on the bed when I got in. The managers were very nice but disappeared after breakfast and I had to ask the cleaning lady how to get into the city centre (a map was useless because I was not where I thought I was!) and there were no brochures or information at the front desk for guests to take. The internet did not work in my room (14) because the modem was not strong enough to broadcast from the reception, so I had to check emails in the reception area, and sitting outside when they locked up and left after breakfast. The breakfast consisted of tea, coffee, cheese, ham and very roughly cut chunks of bread with apricot or strawberry jam. I was unimpressed and did not feel as though it was a good start to a day.

Great location. A couple of blocks to the bus station and the main streets of Fira but in a quiet location. Car rental agency across the street was a convenience for a one day rental. There's also a laundry nearby. They offer free pickup and drop off from/to the airport or port but they did not arrive to pick us up at the airport. Luckily the bus was there and we were not inconvenienced. They did take us to the port when we left. The room was clean and for the location it was a bargain.

The owners have three other hotels so they are rarely in this hotel. The owner was there when we checked in but we were there for 4 days and never saw her again. The lady who handles the breakfast and cleaning works until early afternoon and then locks up so be sure to let them know the time you will arrive else you will have to call them to check you in.

The location is very near to de shopping centre.

The staff is not kind. I could not open the door of my room, and I asked her to change the key twice, then she become inpatient, and even blamed on me! Their facilities are too old! Furthermore, the swimming pool this hotel describes is actually not located as a neighbour, it is at least 1000m away...

It's in the city proper. It's very convinient to all travellers. It's economical.

The lady who manage to prepare the breakfast seems to be very sarcastic. We always greet her in the morning, but she don't have any response. She probably choose whom to talk with. She has no good manner actually. Coz she always banging things out whenever we are there. I don't know if she does it with others, but as far as i'm concern it's my observation during our stay in lignos. And the bathroom towels should be changed. It's more worst than our rug inside the house. My goodness, if you have to wipe out, for sure you'll have more scratches on face and body because it's so hard. It seems that they don't ironing it. I took a picture how those towels looks like.

Hostess very unfriendly and not helpful. Rude to guests. Poor shower. Very minimum breakfast - basically corn flakes, coffee, juice.

Hotel is closer to the Bus station and the center of Thira. Very nice Santorini style design. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Good price.

Poor Wi-Fi internet connection in my room. Limited offer of TV programs. Small room, I have booked room for me alone for 1 night.

I liked everyday cleaning service of the room and good breakfast. Location is very comfortable and the price is reasonable. I also liked transfer services from and to the port which is complimentary.

It was so clean and very close to Fira center.

The hotel is very nice and typical.

The swimming pool is in another hotel at about 50m.

Great value for money and excellent location

The staff were often quite rude and unhelpful. There were 2 occasions they let us down with commitments and they failed to honour the free airport transfers and charged us twice for it

their staff is pretty nice and friendly, our train got problems we had to delay our check in time, we called the reception and he agreed to wait for us, later we arrived at 1 oclock in the midnight, as he promised he was waiting there and we are really grateful

Poor breakfast. Very small room. Not according to what we booked on booking.com.

They acommodate to me at the partner hotel Blue Sky for the same price, so I can't say anything about Lignos hotel because I did not stay there. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Location was excellent, very close to the centre of the town. There was a nice swimming.

I arrived to Thira and nobody was expecting for me at the airport as they said. I took a bus to the town and walked asking to the people for this hotel. When I arrived there, nobody was in reception, I waited for almost 2 hrs, I called to the number in the reservation paper without success, I left several messages telling them I was at Lignos waiting outside for long time. When the night fell, I asked to some people around the hotel and they told me about this partner hotel Blue Sky which is located very close to Lignos. I walked there and told everything to the receptionist and he called his boss......they apologized and gave me a room in this hotel.

Modest hotel, but at a great location, very good for a short stay on the island. Wi-Fi work, staff very friendly and helpful, airport transfers, hotel swimming pool in the next 2 minutes. A very pleasant walk. Thank you for your hospitality and I would recommend.

Le rapport qualité/prix excellent, la situation en ville.

Le manque de personnel. Nous avions demandé de nous commander un taxi pour rejoindre le ferry, mais personne pour nous confirmer un taxi qui n'a pas été commandé; à 5h45 du matin c'est plutôt déplaisant.

El personal excelente y el servicio muy bueno, tienen una combi que te lleva o te trae al puerto gratis. La ubicación inmejorable a pocas cuadras de la terminal de bus que te lleva por toda la isla.
