Great value for money. The best view.

Superb and spacious room. Impecably clean and fully equipped. Very good breakfast and nice staff. 10 minutes walking from the town. Pleasant pool bar and spa area.

We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels. We find Macaris suites to be among the best. Very well run, all staff friendly and helpful at all times, owner very hands on inspecting everything is up to scratch in a low key relaxed manner, good relations with his staff. Very comfortable suites.

I can really only think of one thing that was missing which was a little pull out clothes drier on veranda to dry off swimsuits, towels etc. Very small thing, so only proves how well everything was thought out for the comfort of the guests.

We had a lovely vacation here. The seaview, the suites, the breakfast everything perfect. Especially the service in the hotel is really great, Kiriakos from the reception gives great tips for rethymnon and is always smiling, thats how you feel welcome! Really awesome place!!!

Nothing, no really, nothing

to early in season ...only 3 or 4 rooms occupied.so services more than minimum in the hotel no breakfast before 9 and served late .nobody answer at reception before 9.30,lift broken and repared at the end of our week.(we had a very dirty lift to go to the 8th floor,used to bring our breakfast in our room !!!! ) we changed for the last night to be near the airport at Heraklion,and for the same price it was much much better .(megaron hotel) mini bar in the room,excellent retaurant for our dinner.....

Staff were very helful & friendly. Breakfast was delivered to our room perhaps as we stayed out of season. Two bedroom room we stayed in was clean, comfortable & spacious. Would stay there again if we were in the area or wanted another break.

A very spacious and comfortable self contained apartment for the price of a hotel room, the massage/spa facilities were very good and a nice pool area, only a short walk to the old town... had everything

Location was not as good as we expected and if you had gone for a holiday with a beach you would have been disappointed. Perfect to walk to old town

Friendly staff, very approachable and accomodating

The hotel staff was extremely friendly. First we stayed in a room at the streetside, with a lot of noise from the road. The next day we got without a problem a room at the back of the hotel .

We thought we would get more for that price. There was nothing in the bathroom except towels and soap ( a spa hotel) . Breakfast was poor, comparing to hotels in Spain. Althougt the staff was very friendly, there was no spirit in the hotel.

We were very happy with our spacious and comfortable suite with seaview. Lots of space in the bedroom, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and on the terrace. We're not sure all suites are the same, but 504-506 up to 804- 806 are in a renovated wing of the hotel and they make a great stay. Beds were very good, breakfast more than decent, including fresh orange juice and delicious omlet.

There is a somewhat funny atmosphere in the hotel, as if it manages itself. There is not a lot of staff around. We never saw anybody in the bar and there was no towel service at pool or gym (which was very minimal anyway). Although making some effort when asked, the reception staff seemed a bit random, as if they were doing this on the side. This did not really bother us though, except when we wanted to book 2 very standard excursions. They could not book us on the spead jet from Rethymnon to Santorini (only on the one leaving from Heraklion), nor on a trip to the Samaria gorge on the day that we wanted to go. That was a bit silly, we had to go in town and book these trips ourselves at a local travel agent. This can all be taken for granted if you can take care of yourself, and preferably have a car. If you want to be pampered however, this is maybe not your best choice.

The quality of the hotel room together with it's size and enormous balcony was excellent. It was in an excellent location and the staff very attentive.

Having lived in Rethymno for 9 years, I know of some nice places to stay. However, Macaris has been my 1st choice in the past couple of years. It was the 2nd time I stayed at Macaris and definitely not the last. I always enjoy the clean, spacious and luxurious apartments, and mainly the location of the facility and its wonderful view to the Fortezza and to the west. Great facility, great location, walking distance to the centre of Rethymno and the Old Town. Highly recommended!

There's nothing that I didn't like.

Nice and clean room ......

We had a great time there. The staff are very warm and helpful. The pool spa and restaurant are of good quality. We could get to town by car but enjoyed relaxing in the hotel.

we asked to book an attraction via the front desk.They forgot to do so until reminded the next day. Once reminded, arranged it and apologised.

Lovely and spacious apartments with large terraces and magnificent sea views. Personnel was very friendly, whether they worked in the reception, the bar or the spa.

The staff was excellent, extremely polite and helpful. the view was lovely and the suite comfortable, clean and spacious. We loved the pool and breakfast was also really good. we would definitely stay there again.

I can describe this hotel as nothing short of fantastic. I stayed with my two children and had an absolutely fantastic time. The location is great with an easy walk to the town. The staff are fantastic and really worked hard to make our visit an enjoyable one. The room was excellent as well. Very modern and comfortable with great facilities. It was equiped with a full kitchen with full sized appliances, cook-top, oven etc. Very nice decore and great spa bath/shower. Great pool which my children spent hours in and the recreational facilities were also very nice. The pool table, games tables and many areas where you could relax meant that you could find the right place to relax no matter what your mood. I would definately recommend this as a place to stay and would go back again.

Phantastisches Hotel mit Meerblick und sehr geräumigen Suiten, sehr,sehr nettes und freundliches Personal, hervorragender Spa -Bereich .Rundherum sehr zu empfehlen!

Отдыхали семьей.В восторге от этого замечательного отеля.Понравилось все!!! Огромные номера,шикарная веранда,бассейн, процедуры,отличные завтраки. Персонал - выше всяких похвал! С удовольствием буду рекомендовать для спокойного и качественного отдыха. Нет своего пляжа.Но это не омрачило наш отдых.Машина в аренду предоставляется без проблем. А вокруг масса красивых мест.
