Difficult to find the place we had to introduce... The owner doesn't speak english

Guesthouse Machi is very nice place to stop. Rooms looks pretty good and quality. Everything in rooms is bought from ikea (including bed, kettle, mugs, cups, doors, tables, chairs), so dont worry about the quality of equipment in the room. Kitchen in every room is very good thing, we cooked nice food there...There is only one problem that there haven`t been microvawe. Also there are few comfort things like you can switch off all electricity in the all rooms by one switch when you are leaving, there are wood covers against sun on the windows, there is conditioning in every room, there is hairdryer, there is electric heating. Nearly is Aegean sea (about 150 metres) but I suggest you to go to the beach of this village. It is just in 5 mins from Guesthouse. Owner of Gusethouse is helpul and really friendly and he would like to help if something is wrong. There are important things too. If you want to visit nearliest places like Volos, Pelion, Meteora, „Little Train of Pilion” you have to have a car, it might be rental car too. Yes, you can use bus, but there are problems that bus can`t go anywhere you want and there is schedule too. And taxis there are too expensive. If you have a car you can go to nearliest lidl store on the way to Volos – it takes just about 10 mins. If you are not speeding, Volos is in about 18-20 mins by car from Machi. Also I recommend to take a gps navigator with you because if you are first time there, it would be very hard to reach destination. If you come by plane to reach Guesthouse Machi you have to ride true the Volos and traffic in the Volos is chaos and extreme. It is more than you want for that price, mates! В номере все удобства. Хочется заметить, что к ключу прилагается карточка, которая вставляется в электрощит. Уходя, надо вытащить эту карточку, таким образом обесточивается номер, за исключением холодильника. В ванной так же установлен фен и электрообогреватель. Есть туалетное мыло.

Very friendly owners, a lovely location in a little village 50 meters from the sea. The room is pleasant, has a lovely balcony, a comfortable bed, and a small kitchenette to make breakfast or even a light supper.

Not convenient if you don't have your own transport! Public transport doesn't really exist there... We were there off season, and had to go along the coast to the larger Kala Nera to find somewhere to eat in the evening, all the tavernas in Kata gatsea were closed...

Very comfortable room with kitchenette. Difficult to find when we arrived at night but found the owner at his Pizzaria on the waterfront. No sea view but close enough to the sea in a really quaint unspoilt fishing village with the most amazing sunrise!

We enjoyed our stay at guesthouse Machi. Machi and her son Nikos look after their guests very well, they try to help wherever they can. (We had conversations only in Greek, so I cannot judge their ability to help you out in English.) The rooms are simple but modernly and tastefully decorated. They are clean and the towels and bedlinnen are changed every 3 days. There is a small kitchen which is suited for preparing simple things such as coffee or an omelette, but not for any real cooking. The fridge is pretty big. Taken all together, the kitchen supplies about everything you might be needing, being in the proximity of several very good tavernas  The rooms on the first floor have a furnished balcony. Thanks to the shutters you can darken the room so you are not awakened by the sunlight in the morning. The guesthouse is situated in a quiet area (in fact, the whole village is peacefull and quiet!) At night, all the bars, snackbars and tavernas along the seaside open, which makes the village very cosy! Nikos owns a bar named Santa Maria, which serves homemade pizza’s (we didn’t have the chance to taste one, since there is a very good fish tavern next door. Tell Nikos when you are planning to go there, he can put in a word for you). During the day, the village is very quiet, except for the camping area, which is THE place for swimming. There are a bakery and a supermarket in the village whick are open all day. So, Kato Gateza offers all you need for a relaxing holiday in a quiet, but charming village. You won’t regret staying at guesthouse Machi!

Its a lovely house second or third line behind the sea alley. The rooms are equipped with taste. It's the first time we go to a hotel of this type and there actually is a table cloth on the tables - both inside and outside at the balcony. There was a little candle-like lamp at the outside table. The nice hostess, Machi, has made everything in order to make the yard cozy and pleasant to look at - there are many, many, many flowers! There is a lazy little cat, and practically everything you could expect from a Greek countryside house. The kitchen is equipped with a hot plate, ventilation and a fridge. You have to be aware that in order this plate to work you have to put on it things bigger than 20 cm in diameter. We thought it didn't work until the owner, Nikos, explained. If you would like to taste good Greek olive oil, ask Nikos for a bottle - he makes a very good one and we were happy to find out about this and taste it.

Although Nikos is very welcoming, he is very busy and almost not there - in order to get directions or advice you might have to look for him. Machi does not speek English, she speeks Greek. She understands English well, but you will always have to look for Nikos after all.

L'appart est neuf, gentillement refait tout en style ikea, très fonctionnel, acceuil sympa. Idéalement plaçé pour la silloner la côte ouest du Pélion. Environnement très calme , commerces et tavernes à proximité.

Speziell die Gastfreundschaft von Nikos und seiner Mutter Machi, die uns regelmässig Gemüse und Obst aus dem Garten brachte.

Zona unde este amplasata pensiunea ,este foarte linistita,personalul primitor si imprejurimile de vis pentru un concediu linistit in familie ,departe de zonele intens populate turistic.

Very friedly staff, beautifull village the guesthouse was very clean, very good quality in the best price.

Nos alojamos en un estudio en la primera planta con aire acondicionado (nuevo) cocina vitrocerámica (una placa separada), nevera, una cama doble y otra individual, armario, televisión (solo canales griegos) baño completo y una buena terraza en la que descansar. Los muebles son de Ikea y las habitaciones son tal cual aparecen en las fotografías. Está situado en un pequeño pueblo con puertecito y unas pocas tabernas, ouzeries, y cafés para tomar algo por la noche. Como base para explorar el Pelion está en un lugar inmejorable, ya que se encuentra en una zona poco elevada, con una carretera cómoda (algo difícil de conseguir en esta zona) y cerca de dos zonas donde puedes hacer la compra (la más cercana Kala Nera) así como de los desvíos hacia Millies y Afetes que te permiten visitar la otra costa.

Su dueña, Machi solo habla griego ya que el establecimiento (igual que la zona) está orientado fundamentalmente a turismo local. Aún así, no hay nada que con ayuda de la mímica y de su hijo, que trabaja cerca y habla perfecto inglés, no se pueda solventar. Hay que tener en cuenta que no hay una "entrada" propiamente dicha, sino que son un grupo de estudios, por lo que es necesario llamar a la dueña al llegar desde el patio.
