The location cannot be beat. The inn is within a 10-minute walk of the main town of Fira, but far enough away to avoid the daily crush of cruise ship passengers and other revelers who descend on the town. Every room at the inn enjoys what has got to be one of the most spectacular views in the world. The rooms, while arguably not luxurious, are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. In addition, the daily breakfast, which is served on the balcony, is very good and somewhat varied each day. We chose the hotel based on location and previous reviews, and we would definitely stay here again.

The view but not a good hotel for viewing the sunset

The manager double booked my room so I was given a twin instead of a double. I booked the room 2 months in advance and even e-mailed that I was arriving with my girlfriend only to find 2 single beds pushed together. He told me it was bad luck that I got a twin even though I reserved the 'double' Junior suite. I was given a refund (the refund and beds pushed together were strong indicators of culpability) and was moved to a double room for my second night. Would not recommend this hotel to couples - the 2 single beds slightly diminishes the romantic effect! I was also unimpressed with being served fake orange juice and instant Nescafe coffee for breakfast, broken toilet seat, no pool, and dirty jaccuzzi which had dead insects floating in it. I'm afraid staying at this hotel was very upsetting for my girlfriend and me.

This hotel is the best in Santorini,Number 1 in location,number 1 in service,number 1 in views and number 1 in mano the manager.This place will make your stay in Santorini number 1. This place is a must it is simply the best and believe me you will not be disappointed.

Everything the place is amazing.

The view over the caldera from the hotel was unparalleled. We also liked the small town feel of Firostefani, preferring this town to both Fira and Oia. We could easily walk into Fira when desired on a stone path. We enjoyed the breakfasts served each day on our terrace, with a different menu each day, and at the time of our choosing. (Note that the terrace is not private. One table is located outside each room along the length of the terraces, with no divisions between tables.) Our very personable host, Thanasis, met us on the main road where our transport left us, to carry our bags down the many steps to the hotel, and again, brought them up for us as we were leaving. We also appreciated the small bottle of wine awaiting us when we checked in, which we consumed while watching a beautiful sunset. There were several good restaurants in Firostefani, including a small market.

We felt the layout of the room was strange. Although the room was large, and described as a small suite, the step-up area where the beds was located was very crowded and only one step away from the bathroom, meaning that if one person was up, the other was awake as well. While we didn't watch tv, one only could watch while sitting on the couch or at the small table. There was no drawer space of any kind, meaning we had to live out of our suitcases. The placement of the air conditioning unit meant that it didn't really cool the room. Minor complaints, but these points led to our lower rating in 'value for money.' Also there is no pool, meaning that one is not likely to just hang out at the hotel.

The location and views from the hotel are great. The personal service was good and the owner/operator is knowledgeable about the area and goes out of his way to assist his guests. I would highly recommend this small boutique hotel

We had the junior suite. The only thing I would prefer is a queen bed rather than a full size.

The owner is extremely kind and thoughtful. The breakfast servings were delicious and unexpected. The views from our rooms were spectacular.

The 200 euros per night we paid seemed a little steep, but to be honest, I really have nothing to complain about as far as our stay there.
