- Very nice hosts - Clean, simple, cheap - Just behind famous part for sunsets in Oia - Top balcony great for private sunset dinner/wine
- The neighbor has a dog thats chained up all day, kind of sad and makes you want to break the dog out. - Wifi could be improved
Great terrace to watch the sunset, location is excellent, very nice hosts.
The breakfast was all out of packages and our bathroom had a bad odor.
Beautiful village, kind friendly owners, rooftop terrace with a superb view.
the location is great, accommodation is simple and it's the best value for the money.
The host is really friendly, when we arrived, she gave us tea. The location is good
Couldn't fall asleep, too many bugs in bed. In the end we didn't use the blanket at all as we felt very very itchy! Rooms not bright enough. And I would recommend staying in fira as it is much cheaper. And take a bus to Oia to see the sunset and go back to fira, as there are frequent buses going back and forth til 12 at night.
The Welcome : owners are warm and caring The Place : An old fashioned charm and very confortable , "Like at home" The People : lot of kind people, different nationalities
Maybe more information on the localisation (even if there is no address in Santorini)
The location is great. People working there are very friendly and helpfull. Old traditionnal house.
As the house is old the bathroom was outside the rooms, but it's fine as the location is great.
The bathroom is presented as private but it is outside the room.
The only good thing is te location.
Uncomfortable beds, dirty bathroom, very noisy, impossible to find
The location was great. Rooftop patio had sunset view.
Bathroom outside room was uncleanly, with leaking toilet, poor plumbing, and garbage not changed for 4 days. Linens not changed for 4 days. Beds were very uncomfortable, and ants were crawling on the pillows. Cash only payment was not convenient. No air conditioning.
The only redeeming qualities for this cess pit. And I use that term in the most literal manner possible, but I will get back to that later, is that it is very centrally located in Oia which makes things very easy for touring the city.
It is criminal that they are allowed to advertise the room with a "private bathroom with shower". The supposed "shower" is actually a spray nozzle next to the toilet that was intended as a bidet. To make matters worse, the drainage for this "shower" is a hole in the middle of the floor that leads directly to open sewage. The stench of raw sewage filled the room as the "shower" complete with "sewage port" begins to overflow into the living space. Complete insanity. I am beyond angry that they were allowed to advertise this atrocity with the terms "private bathroom with shower". The floor of the living space is made of 50 year old splintered wood that you will not even think about walking on barefoot when its simply dry and splintery, let alone after it has been awash in the raw sewage pouring out of the "shower". Of course there is no air conditioning but at least that was correctly advertised. The problem, however, is that the room has no ventilation other than a small port near the ceiling that the room becomes extremely hot. So the baking heat, high, humidity from the water soaked floor and the raw sewage stench gives you the feeling of being locked in some strange sewer sauna. Just for some icing on this cake, the door has a lock installed but the door is actually so loos in its hinges that even with the door deadbolted, one only needs to push on the door and it will come right open. Or, as my wife discovered while dressing, the wind can blow it open even while it is locked. But, to be perfectly clear, the absolute insanity of this experience could all be tolerated if not for the blatant lies told in the description. This is unforgivable in my opinion.
Local experience of Greece, it felt like home. The couple who manage the place are sweetest people and very kind. They reminded me of my grandparents. The next time I visit Santorini, this is the place I will be staying in again. Excellent location and very nice sunset view from the roof.
The staff, Mike and his wife, wonderful people, helped a lot. The location is perfect in Oia, the most beautiful town in Santorini! Very nice place for low budget travelers that want to stay in Oia.
I had such a charming stay at Marcos Rooms. I loved the terrace rooftop! It was a great place to watch the sunset from.
Great Central location, the room had a rustic charm. The shared balcony was great for viewing the sunset away from the hoards. Fridge outside the room was useful and airers on the roof good for drying wet swim stuff.
Breakfast not great! Bathroom was plastered, no tiles and not very clean. We stayed 2 nights and the room was not cleaned in between, with 1 towel each person.
Staffs are really nice and friendly and this hotel have a very good location in Oia.
Too many Mosquitos in the night and no air conditioner in the room, I feel too hot.
It's near the Sunset point and sea. The Staff are so nice!
Old fashioned romantic house in the heart of lovely town of Oia with super nice and helpful owner.Great location, nice breakfast and truly local and great Santorini experience for reasonable price.
The location of this guesthouse is excellent - down a quiet alleyway but just a stone's throw away from the best viewing spots. Rooms are spacious and beautifully laid out. Downside is no aircon or ceiling fans, and having the bathroom located outside the room, but I knew this when booking. The breakfast is good and the owners are friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place as value for money in an otherwise rather expensive town.
Good location, breakfast ok.
Not easy to find, dirty room and bathroom. No airconditioner
The owners are very friendly and kindly. The room was clean, nice and quite big. The breakfast was good and you can take it any time. The house is in the middle of the main street.
They don't have Air Conditioned and the shower is soso :(
Really nice host and beautiful hause. Great location. I highly recommend !
Location was right near the 'sunset' side of santorini in oia. So central to shops and restaurants, hosts were so helpful, even washed our clothes! Would recommend, great atmosphere and great people
Somewhat difficult to find on maps etc but once you get there is easy to get to and from everywhere in oia
Seriously the best value possible... the location is not only one of the few locations in Oia where you can see the sunset and picnic from your roof, but also such a genuine Santorini island feel that you'd find in places 10-50x as much.
Could use a few more basic amenities like shampoo and a better showerhead. Not a big deal all things considered.
Very nice sunset view
Poor facilities! No air conditioning... Come on Santorini is super hot! A lot of flies and insects during the night!
